Rhea- Ignore the "range". They can't date a pg by the hCG number. 2w is essentially 4w. Your baby is only 2w old.

Stacey- Thanks! I was more asking for a clarification of the term "gestational age" But It's good to have that chart, too
Lynn- Hi Gosh, I sure hope my feet won't grow that much-I'm already a size 10! My cousin said she lived in crocs for most of her pg. |

Lisa - my Dr didn't tell me not to work out & I did work out until the day before my retrieval. The class i was taking 3x a week was very intense too. I read that I might have discomfort/pain b/c my ovaries were enlarged, but I didn't. but when I stopped, i didn't exercise again until I made it thru the 1st tri.
Lynn - Hi! I work in RR. welcome! Krissy - my feet are really bothering me today. We have our 3D/4D us in about an hour. I am aboutto get a coke to make sure he is awake!

Jen--OOOOH, do you think you will be able to post pictures or video? The 3d ones are so neat! Have fun seeing Jackson! So sorry about your feet hurting; some days I feel like I am walking on broken glass. Oh, the joys of pregnancy!
Well, the doctor thinks that because of the way I am carrying, I probably just pulled a muscle in my side. He told me that if I start to have any other symptoms (esp. bleeding in urine) to come back, and he would check for a kidney infection. I am just glad he didn't make me get an x-ray. Anyways, hope everyones day has gone well. Oh, on the bright side, I have not gained as much weight as we had thought. It turns out, because of my wierdly huge belly, I was throwing off the scale. Today they asked me to stand on it differently, and I actually weighed less. They said that sometimes that happens if it is unbalanced! So, I still have gained more than most of you were advised to gain, but apparently less than they thought. (I still don't know exactly how much, I asked that they not tell me). |

Krissy- Well that sounds like a great visit and that everything is ok. LOL at your belly throwing the scale off. I would have never thought of that.
Jen- Wow, those 3d u/s sure look cool. Hope it went well! I can not BELIEVE my NP has still not called me with my HCG results. I mean, I have the results, but she doesn't know that. ugg, I guess I'll be cruising by the lab tomorrow to pick up my own darn results. |

Krissy-Glad everything is ok!!
Claire-Those look like great numbers. Allison-Congrats on progressing this far. Looks like things are moving right along for you. Jen-Meant to post earlier I am also having shoe issues. Since I have to dress professionally it has been a pain since we are now getting into fall which means no more sandals and flip flops. I've been looking for some shoes too but haven't found any I like. And hoping that whatever I get I will still wear after. I've already spent way too much on clothes that I might never wear again that it kills me to do it in the shoe department as well! Well I am so tired from this weekend. And I did a ton of running around since I didn't get anything done yesterday! So needless to say I still need to work on my pics. |

Jen- where are you? I want to see Jackson's 4D photos!!
My latest news: my wedding ring fits me again. Yeah! It hasn't fit in almost 6 weeks. And I am wearing a cute nursing tank from Target and I just looked down and there is poopoo on it. Heehee! I really look like a frazzled mommy today. I haven't showered yet as I'm paranoid about Dominic being "unattended" while I am in there. I'll have to have DH watch him when he gets home so that I can get cleaned up. Krissy- my aunt/uncle from Houston have made their way here to Dallas to stay with my parents for a while. Don't know for how long, but they are both retired and didn't want to just hang out there with no electricity. I'm expecting them to visit tomorrow. Surprisingly the house is in a pretty clean state. Heidi- post those shower pics! |

Sorry I have been MIA again...we have had some trying times in the last 2 weeks....first off when we got home form TN, the next day i went down to get some venison from the freezer, and there was a river of water flowing out of it! Our 22 Cu. Ft. upright had died while we were gone! We were lucky, though, it must've died close to when we got home, cause most stuff was still mostly frozen (poor thing was 40+ years old and had been moved 4+ times, it was a hand me down from my grandma to mom to me). We are very lucky too to have a great friend, who happened to have a small chest freezer sitting unused in his garage, and was able to come out the night and bring it to us, we gave him all the venison brats and polish sausage we had in thanks!
Then we had a cold snap the week after that - low 40s at night, and Dane went down to start the pilot light on the boiler (circa 1960 ish), and it wouldn't stay lit! luckily again, we called my dad and he had an idea what it might be and described the part to Dane on the phone, and we got a new one and Dane installed it himself, but broke another part in the process, took 2 more days to replace that part, and then we got it up and running again, PHEW!!! After that, it rained all week, and CJ and I were gettin cabin fever being stuck inside all day! I had my 15 w appointment, and wvwrything was gret I was measuring 16 cm on my fundal height, and the HB was 155!!! I am already feeling movements, too, and have been for a few weeks, that is so reassuring! I also had my triple marker test this past Thur, at 16 w, and everything came back normal, they told me today! Then my mom came down this weekend, Friday night, and everything was going great, we wer planning to go to a friends' family's reunion dinner, as we are part of their "extended family" and they expect/invite us each year....Dane goes all day to the golf outing they have too, we just join him for dinner. Well, Sat. morning, I heard Cj cry at 5:30 and went to check on her, and gave her her binky and told her to go back to sleep, and she was quiet for a little while, but she got going again at around 6 and Mom came up and got her and took her downstairs. well, about an hour later, I wake up to mom saying, "uhm, Jess, I don't want to scare you, and I hate to wake you up, btu I think you better take me to the Emerency room."Well, I am half asleep and I look up and her shirt is covered in these brown splotches, and she is holding her right hand weirdly with her left hand, and I immediately think she has cut her finger(s) terribly, so it was gushing blood or something!!!! She saw the look on my face (I don't deal well with injuries/blood/open wounds), and says, "Don't get all worked up, it was really stupid,a nd I don't think i am hurt bad, but I think you should take me to the emergency room to get checked out>" I say, "Where is CJ?" she was downstairs watching TV, and I asked "What did you do, MOM?!" The story unfolds, she had gotten Cj down, got ther to go pee on the potty, and they were watching PBS, and mom went out on the porch for a smoke, she was peeking in the windows to check on CJ every few minutes, and Cj was fine, watching TV in her Dora Chair. then mom went over to the side of our porch, there is a landing about 2.5 feet up the front stairs, and it has just a short block wall round one side, well, she looked over the side, and there were some tall weeds sticking up ( it was raining, so she figured the ground would be soft enough to pull them out) and pulled a few out, well, she grabbed one, and the top brok off, so she bent over further and pulled harder, and lost her footing, and over she went!!!!! She landed on the front right top of her head just above her hairline/forehead, and then flipped onto her back, putting her hands down in the process, and bending/dislocating her right ring finger in the process!!! (this is really bad cause she is a dental hygienist - and that is her dominant hand) She thought she had broken her finger, but had actually put it back into its right position herself!!! YIKES! And she was worried, having landed like that on top of her head, that she might've damaged her neck in some way - fracture, smashed disks, etc. I am amazed she didn't land in the thorny quince bush right next to where she flipped, or hit her head on the tile that our downspouts go into, which is right there too, I think it was lucky it was raining, soft ground, slippery, cause it mught have eased the landing some. So we all got up and scrambled around and got some breakfast in us all, tried calling Mom's insurance, to see if Kewanee or Peoria was a better choice for coverage, and they were no help, "that's a billing question, and they aren't open today." Then Mom, CJ and I went to kewanee hospital ER, in the driving rain, I dropped off her and CJ and parked the van and got drenched coming back in...luckily they were't busy, and we got right in, and they had mom turn her head both ways, and move it up and down,a nd they said she probably just "jammed her neck" and if it didn't feel beter in a week, to go in to see her own Dr., they took x-rays of her finger and siad it was just a bad sprain, and put a soft splint on it and told her to take it off when she felt like it! We were thanking God all day for the minimal injuries! we were only at the ER a little over an hour,a nd Cj and I still wet to the dinner that night, and mom was feeling a little sore the next day, but hopefully she is going to mend quickly! Now we all seem to have a cold, Dane and I have sore throats, and Cj has a really congested runny nose, we have a vicks vaporizer going in her room tonight. I hope this sickness is short-lived. I read, but can't remember much! Congrats to all the newbies, and wow to all of you who are next in line! Krissy - I gained like 45 pounds with Cj, and they never said a word about it to me - it was apound a week from the beginning, and then at the end, it was alittle more, since i had pregnancy induced hypertension, and was retianing lots of water and was on bedrest. Also, those worried about feet, when I was first preg with CJ, I was a 6.5-7, at the end I was an 8, I got back to a 7-7.5 once I lost the weight....around 9 months post partum. So SOME of my shoes still fit, but not all of them. Jess |

A little trick to showering with a newborn in the house once hubby is back at work - works for months to come too....get a bouncy seat, or the carseat carrier, or glider or swing, and put the baby in it, in the bathroom, and shower away - play music if you want! Cj LOVED it, and would even fall asleep in there. Her swing lived in the bathroom for a few months, LOL!

Hi girls,
We went to our us & Jackson wasn't cooperating. We got to see him, but he was pretty far down & kept his hands in front of his face. So...we got some not so good pics & we get to go back another time to try again. Kinda bummed, but it was really good to see him again. I think he has DH's nose - his nose is straight (your typical nose), whereas mine is pretty small & kinda rounded on the end. Jackson definitely doesn't have my nose. & he has good sized boy parts.
