Stacy- Sorry to hear about DH's gma. Try to take it easy on the trip.

Bina- REally? That's good to know. I still haven't taken it . It is the weirdest thing. Don't think I'm nuts but it's almost supernatural. Everytime I think-"oh just go on and take it, it won't hurt" I just can't bring myself to do it. Although I temped this am and it was down just a tad. Maybe I shouldn't still be analyzing my temps?

Chrystie- How exciting to be going for the u/s so soon! I still haven't called the OB yet. That would be funny if you had twins again. Did you have double the PG symptoms with the girls?

Krissy- I wish I knew what that meant about your fluid. Sorry it wasn't good news.

Well, I never did get the results from my first b/w . I called the NP's office ever couple of hours and nothing. So I have no idea if my progesterone is OK or not. I've been POAS 2x/day and still glaring positive. So I guess I just wait. I'm NO good at this.

Claire-STOP temping! You will drive yourself crazy. I don't think one chemical PG says anything about progesterone, so I would just wait until your b/w comes back to see if you need it which is what your guy seems to be telling you anyway. Prometrium is a natural form of progesterone so you won't be adding anything "unnatural" to your body if that helps to know.
BTW, does steph know you are PG? She will go NUTS I bet

Stacey-yay for 5 weeks! Does your ob do early u/s to see the heartbeat?

Bina- Thanks! I needed to hear that. No, Steph doesn't know-unless Rac called her-I don't have her IRL contact info. Just internet.

I know a few of you girls are from Texas; are you all doing ok with this storm? My sister, her DH, and her 6 month old son are in Houston, and we have not been able to contact her since yesterday. It is sort of scary! I'm sure they will be ok.

Claire--Try not to worry so much; I know it sounds cliche, but it really isnt good for you or the baby if you worry too much. Try and relax a little (I realize that is easier said than done!) I am the same way; I have worried endlessly about everything from the beginning. I will probably be that way as a mom, too!

Stacy--Yeah, for 5 weeks! You SHOULD celebrate each week!
I am 35 weeks today; Yeah! Doc said that means they won't stop it if I go into labor anytime after today! Big milestone! We are going to put the carseat basese in our cars today, and also go shopping! Do any of you have a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory near you? I am ADDICTED to their caramel apples. I try not to get them too often, but we are going to that side of the river today (we live on the Mississippi), so I am really looking forward to having one! Yum! I love Saturdays when DH doesnt work

Krissy- all of my dad's family lives in Houston and they all reported in this morning and let my dad know that all is well. They said it was a very bad storm. Don't know how to take that- I want details! No flooding of their properies just yet. I still cannot believe they didn't evacuate.

Jo--I knew you were in TX, glad to hear that you and your family are all ok. I want details, too! I wish that we could get through to her.

DH is on his way to get an MRI on his knee, and then when he gets back we are going to take some pictures. I kind of wish we had taken cute pictures closer to 30 weeks; now I am just huge and a lot more self conscious! Plus, it is going to be harder for me to get into any neat positions, since I can barely walk anymore!

I posted the pic's from our "photoshoot" in the belly thread. It was very tiring, but I liked some of the pictures. We are going to get some of DH with my belly tomorrow, too! Yeah, I love belly pictures, but I hope that I don't have too many more weeks of taking them!

Claire- No, actually I had almost zero symptoms. I felt wonderful up until the last week before I went into labor.
I am almost expecting to go to my U/S and they tell me that it's twins again.

My U/S is only 1 week away and I am so excited!!!

Krissy - I think there are a lot of people without power in Houston. I heard 3 million (of the 4 million that live there). I think its going to be a while before they get it back too.
Austin, however, didn't get a drop of rain. DH was not happy that the Texas game was cancelled for no rain!
I love your new pics! You look great!

We had a busy weekend. My BF's son turned 1 yesterday, so I drove down to San Antonio for the party. & stopped at the outlet mall on the way home to see if I could find a dress for my shower (I didn't) & to check the Pottery Barn outlet for deals. I did find the rest of my hostess gifts - I got them monogrammed bags from lands end & williams sonoma liquid soap & lotion in a stainless holder to put in the bags (i got a great deal - instead of $12.50 each, they were 4.99!).
& it was DH's b-day, so we went to a friends for a bbq. We didn't get home until midnight.
Today, lots of errands (grill shopping for DH's b-day present) & we just got back from walking the dogs - they are doing so good since they got home from training! I am so impressed with them!

Now I am waiting for DH to start painting the nursery....its all taped & ready to go!

A cold front is coming in & it feels great. The high tomororw is supposed to be in the mid 80s. I am so excited!!!!

So my feet have officially grown....alot. I have gone from a 8.5 to a 9.5 - or a 10 at Aldo. Most of my shoes are uncomfortable & I tried to find some cute flats, but I am not finding much I like. I may be in flip flops from now until Nov!

Our 3D/4D us is tomorrow afternoon. I am soooo excited to see Jackson again!!!!

Sorry for the long post - I just felt "talkative" today!

Allison-we have the same cold front bringing it down to the 80s, lol. And YAY! to making it past the m/c date, I am sure that must be a huge relief!

Rhea-are you feeling any PG symptoms yet? maybe you will get lucky and escape m/s.

Hope everyone in TX is doing ok!

We had a very busy weekend with our shower and my BF and daighter being here. They left early this AM. She stayed an extra day because of the weather and since she's living in Chicago we didn't want her driving back to all that crap.

Our shower was awesome. My friends did a great job planning it. And we got a ton of stuff. I cna't even believe how generous everyone was, which of course made me teary. We got a lot of stuff from our registry and some great clothes. I spent part of yesterday going through it and trying to start organizing. I will post some pictures hopefully alter today. But I've got to run and do errands. I might try and make it to the day care we have picked out. If not I can do it in 2 weeks when I'm off again.

And my ILs actually surprised me with the amount of stuff. They don't show me a lot of excitement but apparently DH says they can't wait. But they all keep saying they want us to use them for day care. I know I should be thankful as they are family and it would save us a lot of money but I just really don't trust my MIL or SIL. Plus I just don't see them doing interactive type activities with her, which is very important to me. I don't want someone babysitting and just hangin out all day. I'd expect certain things you know? I keep telling DH no and he apparently lets them know. I'm sure they think I'm a bitch. MIL thinks it's great my mom still works as she thinks that means she's the go to person when I need help. Well you know that didn't sit well with my mom and she made it clear she will take time off whenever needed! So things could get interesting once the baby arrives!!!

Heidi- Oh how much fun! I'm glad you got oodles of stuff and had a great time. I'm dreading my shower-thank goodness I have a long time before I have to worry about it. Oh boy for family drama-but I hear ya, I dont' trust my mother to babysit.

Jen- Austin to San Antonio? Isn't that quite a drive? I'm glad ya'll are getting a cold front. Any time things cool down in TX its a good thing! (I was born outside of Houston and still have some family there). So, I just thought your feet got wider?

Allison-congrats for making it so far-that's awsome!

Bina- It's funny. I'm not really sure if I'm having PG symptoms or not (I'm such a dork) I'm kinda tired. I get tiny waves of nausea but they don't last too long. I still have the cramps on and off. In the am, my stomach is a mess and I have to go to the RR about 3-4 times. I'm not sure if that is related or not.

Chrystie- No symptoms? That's cool. I'm excited for your u/s, too.

Well, I went for my beta this am and thank goodness they just printed out my b/w results from Thurs. (since NP never called)

HCG: 139
progesterone: 39.1

So I guess I didn't screw anything up too bad by not taking the prometrium. On the b/w results form, it gives ranges of "normal" numbers. And for the HCG it says "gestational age" so is that the actual age of the fetus (2 weeks, whereas my ticker is 4wks?)

Claire--Yeah, I think that the way it works is that a normal pregnancy (40 weeks) actually starts when you ovulate, so the first two weeks you have not really even concieved. I don't know why they do it that way. So the actual fetus (I think that would be the gestational age) would only be 2 weeks, even though you are considered 4 weeks preggo. It is sort of confusing. (ps--I didn't start having m/s until 7 weeks)

Heidi--Yay for lots of good gifts!!!! Now you get to start putting things away; that is even more fun than the shower!

Alison--Congrats on breaking your date! I think it's because this one is so sticky!

Jen--My shoes don't fit, either. I can't even squish into them, so I have been wearing flip flops every day to work (very professional, huh?) I have a lot of expensive shoes, so I am pretty annoyed. Also, it is getting cold out, and rainy, and here I am with practically bare feet. Ugh.

So, I am taking a sick day today. I didn't really want to, but something is wrong with me and when I called my doc he wanted me to come and get some tests done. My upper left quadrant of my belly REALLY hurts. I think it is my lung getting squished, so it is probably fine, but there is NO way I could push a baby out right now! It hurts super bad if I cough or laugh. I am not too worried, but with all the extra fluid there is the danger of my lung collapsing (I know, it sound scarier than it is!)
