I noticed a very strange discharge today. I went to wipe and felt a tug so I pulled and out came a string of discharge. It's hard for me to explain but it is almost rubbery...like a rubbery string. I really don't know how to describe it. No bleeding or anything, just this hard string. I related it back to another time earlier in the pregnancy when I wiped and there was a thick glob with the same consistency..but it was just a little ball of it. Is this tissue or something I should be worried about or what?!?! I can't call my doctor until tomorrow and I don't know when i'll be able to get in. I've already had a pap smear and i'm clean of any STD's. Anyone know??

I think you are fine. Your cervical mucus can become really thick and really abundant when pg so you probably just have a lot of that right now

that's what i thought too except that this isn't liquidy at all, it kind of feels like when rubber cement dries on something and you can ball it up. It's real rubbery and hard like that.

I've had discharge like that when I wasn't pg - I don't think it's anything to be scared of. I guess your dr may want to test you for some kind of vaginal infection, but if that is your only symptom, I wouldn't worry that anything is wrong.

Ok, thanks, it's just so strange, i've never had discharge like that so I just assumed it was pregnancy related. Who knows, I just pray it isn't some sort of strange infection. Yuck!

I had some weird stuff like that too in my 2nd tri-mester. In Jenny McCarthy's book she calls it the snail trail. LOL

I agree, its normal, its the hormones in your body. I had tons of it, ick, it will come and go
