Jo, he is SO cute. And you do not look like you just had a baby at all. I love the E15 with him laying on that stuffed dog
Krissy, when I lost my plug with Mia it started out as a lot of think fluid. It was kind of like babybatter, I thought it was at first. Then the next day it started coming out in chunks (sorry if that was TMI) |

Jo and Krissy- Noah's head was blocking my cervix so after my water broke it also was a huge gush and it was going for a min or two..... but after that it was only when I would move a certain way/switch positions or he would move that I would get another gush. LOL
Jo- CUTE pics!!! |

Hi ladies!
Krissy - I bet you are bummed that there is no baby today! It will be nice to have that extra laundry done though Sarah - I am sorry to hear you don't like your doctor |
|
||||
|
Sarah- YAY on a singleton! I can't believe the nurse/dr made such a rude comment. I would have called her out. LOL I don't understand what's wrong with having children esp since you're married. *insert eye roll* I'd LOVE for someone to say something to me. My reaction wouldn't be pretty.
Rhea- Where are you? |

Thanks for the birthday wishes girls! Work was really busy today & now I am pooped. I think we are going to get some Mexican food - I want some yummy queso!
Krissy - Thanks - I will probably talk to DH again. Sarah - Congrats on your little one! I agree - you've got the best of both worlds & your kids will all feel special because of it. Jo - he is precious!!

Hey guys
What happened to kanieka? Krissy- I had my membrane stripped. I was two weeks over due, the dr stripped them on Friday, it didn't hurt I had just alittle bleeding right after he done it. Then we bd that night and i started having contractions that morning. But my water never broke until the dr broke it when he placed the internal montors. I had some bad bad cramping the other night..no spotting..but now I am not expierencing morning sickness like I was? I am just afraid something is not right. |

Sarah-Congrats on seeing the little one. I agree that your doctor is an idiot with her comments. It may seem quick but given everything you've gone through who the hell cares! And is it really any of her business?
Claire and Kanieka-I was also wondering where you guys are. |

Hi Everyone! I'm still here- just silently lurking
ha ha. The last time I was at the OB the Nurse gave me some pamplets about the screening for Downs, trisomy 18 and open nural tube defects. I dont' know why, but I'm finding the decisions a little confusing and overwhelming. The next visit to the OB, I'll be a couple of days shy of 11wks and I'm not really sure if that's too late to do any screening. Any suggestions from you BTDT moms?Sarah- Bummer about your Doc! I have a tendancy to make jokes that would probably offend someone, too. So I hope she really was joking Krissy- Oh bless your heart! I'm sorry you are in pain and so uncomfortable, I sure hope something moves forward soon for you. ![]() Jo- Great pics! Hi Everyone Else! |

Morning girls!
Krissy - thanks again for the advice. I talked to DH again last night & we had a good conversation. It made me feel better....and break our dry spell. Back - when in doubt, call the Dr! Where is Kanieka & Claire?

Claire6389- The testing for Downs, Spina Bifida & other neural tube defects is usually done around 16 weeks. My next appointment is Nov 3rd and I will be 17 weeks and they are taking my blood then for that...my doctor calls it the Quad Test. You have plenty of time to go over the information and make your decision. I am having it done but the results dont make a difference to me either way.
Hope this helps. Haley |

Claire--I chose not to do the testing, and I am glad about it. I am an anxious person, and I definitely did not need another thing to worry about. The problem with the testing is that it is never 100%, so it's not like you would really do anything differently, anyways. I have had two friends get false positives; one was told that there was an 80% chance that her little girl would have Spina Bifida, and another was told that it looked like her baby might have Downs. Both children were born absolutely fine, but of course they spent the whole pregnancy completely freaked out and worried. Not worth it for me! My oldest sister did the testing and was glad, but that is because it showed nothing wrong. I think it is just a very personal decision, but you have some time to look into it, still.
Jen--I'm glad you guys worked it out a little; I think sometimes they don't realize how hurtful something can be when your body is changing, you feel so different as it is, and when you add in the bd'ing stuff, it can really bum a person out! I go to the doctor at 1:30; send me dilatation vibes!!!!! If I am dilated he will sweep my membranes, which may or may not work, but at least it will feel like we are doing something proactive. if not, it looks like I have another week to sit around. Ugh. |

Krissy-{{{{{dialation vibes}}}}}} Oh I so hope this helps you out today!
You have an excellent point about having one more thing to worry about. I know the false + rate is pretty big, and then I guess the next thing is an amnio, and I'm not sure I'm up for that risk. DH asked me: well, what would we do with the results? What would it change? And that's a scary question, really. Jen- I'm glad you two have worked it out a little. I can totally relate to what you must be feeling. We haven't BD'ed since we concieved, mainly bc I think we've enjoyed the break since the TTC craziness. But I'm starting to feel the dry spell, for sure. Haley- Thanks so much for the info! |
