Happy October!!

Dang, can't believe its October already. Time has seriously flown by. I thought I'd update since I haven't in a few days. I still have bronchitis and I still feel like crap. At first, I was just going to ride it out because I didnt want to take any medications and pass it onto Estrella AND because none of my doctors would see me. OBGYN wouldnt see me because she only treats pregnancy, my primary care doctor wouldnt see me because I'm pregnant, I even went to my old PED which will be Estrella PED but he wouldnt see me because I am too old. I know, seeing a PED sounds ridiculous but I was desperate. And yes, I did tell my OBGYN that I was coming down with bronchitis (I have chronic bronchitis, so I know when I'm coming down with it) last week but she said I didn't "look or sound" sick so she couldn't give me anything anyways. So I thought, fine I can ride this out, no big deal. Well a couple of days pass and I feel worse, almost like Im catching anomnia (sp?) and I know thats even worse for the baby compared to antibiotics. So on Saturday morning, Jose took me to the emergency room because that was the only place I could think of for someone to see me and give me some damn medicine. So now Im on medication and though I feel guilty for taking it, I hope I get better soon so when Estrella makes her arrival I can actually take care of her.

Today my mom threw me a surprise baby shower. I wasn't expecting it because as I mentioned in the baby shower picture thread, we had gotten into a pretty big fight a few weeks ago and weren't speaking to eachother for awhile. It was nice and we got some nice stuff, though I couldn't help but feel so weak and just wanting to come home and crawl into bed.

My contractions are still coming though not as frequent but still strong. I've been spending a lot of time in bed though and drinking lots and lots of fluids so I believe thats been holding them at bay for awhile. Prior to getting sick, I've been doing a lot of walking and preparing so I think being so active made them worse. Though I still think I wont make it to my due date because of my frequent contractions and because of how much pressure Im feeling. I'm definitely ready to meet her yet I cant help but want her to stay in there another few months and no Im not kidding. :P The only reason why I dont want to go past my due date is because I want her to be born in October and not in November. But if this was say, December, she could stay in there for as long as she wanted.

Oh, and PS. Regina was my labor buddy but she hasn't been on in a long time and hasnt responded to my emails.. so I will still text her if/when I go into labor but she might not come on and post. So, I will attempt to post here before going to the hospital when the time comes.

Christina, I hope you start feeling better soon!! Can't believe how hard it was to get someone to see you! Good grief!

Pamela, I can't wait to see your finished crib, it's going to be so beautiful.

Kayla, I swear, I don't know how you're doing med school and pregnancy...even though that first trimester exhaustion is gone, I still get wiped out some days, not to mention what a moron I've become....I'd never be able to hold on to a thought long enough to be tested on it. You rock!

Manda, I'm amazed at how much it sounds like you've done in your nursery! Are you guys finished with it at this point? I need to pop over and find some pictures if you've posted some. I think I read that you're doing frogs...everything I've seen with little frogs is so adorable. I'm sure it's precious and I love his name.

Have gotten busy and when I have been on a computer, it's been for work or researching nursery stuff or reading through Consumer Reports about baby things. I kept thinking that if I logged on here, it would probably take forever to get caught up then post a reply.

As for an update on us, we found out on the 11th that we're having a BOY! I was so shocked, I almost fell off the table. Guess I just really had it in my mind that we were having a girl and then someone here at work did the "pencil on a string over my wrist" thing and it said girl as well and I fell for that hook, line, and sinker. Have gotten over the shock and am getting so excited. His name will be Noah. We're working on the nursery slowly but surely and I happened upon a couple of church consignment sales this weekend and got a ton of stuff!! Got a brand new Moses basket for $40, a barely used Pack N Play for $40 and a ton of outfits. Love those sales!!

Hope everyone is going well....I'll keep reading and catching up! Isn't this the best time of year???!! My mood gets better and better as the weather keeps cooling down.

Cristina, Thanks for the update!! I'm sorry things have been crummy for you!! I hope your meds help you out & very soon!! Keep chugging those liquids - you really need them!! Estrella will stay put until she's ready to come out! I lol about staying preggo until Dec. I think Jose would want her out before then.

Amy, I was beginning to wonder where you had wandered off to. Glad things are coming together for you & YAY for the BOY team!! I love the name Noah too!! We went to a Mother's Market this weekend too. I picked up some onesies & a Bouncy Seat/Bassinett. It'll be perfect for the baby to nap in when we're downstairs.

Hi girls. i had the baby on friday at 2am after 30+ of labor. they had to deliver her by C-section because she was stuck. They found this out after 3 hours of pushing. Anyway, i just got out of the hospital. She was 6 pounds 8 ounces and a little miracle. She is a great baby!

Thanks everyone, I got lucky with the doctor's office. They had a cancellation for tomorrow, so I am taking that appointment for my pregnancy confirmation. I will find out my due date already. YAY! I am just praying that I can hopefully do things a lot healthier than last pregnancy and avoid GD altogether. Not likely, but one can hope right?
