Default November Preggo Chat

Krissy, I'm so sorry you are having such a rough time! I just want you to know that IF you end up needing a c/s (which I don't know why you would), mine was a fantastic, very soothing experience, and the healing process was very easy. The only downside to it was not being allowed to drive post-op for two weeks. Other than that, I had no issues (as long as I took the pain meds when I needed them.)

Ely, GET OUT OF MOMMY!! What a little stinker, hanging around this long!

The moment you hear that first cry, though, you won't even remember what you were so miserable about.

Good luck. He's gonna be here soon, I just know it!

oh, poor Krissy... I'm sorry you're still waiting. But on a good note, I have heard that throwing up can speed up dilation and effacement. They told me when I was in labor that if I started throwing up they wouldn't give me anything to stop the nausea because it could speed up labor. So maybe your puking could start things!

Okay, so punk kids on Halloween night really tick me off.. Last night around 11:00 we were getting ready to get into bed. We had just gotten out of the shower, Jeslynn was asleep in bed and we heard a car screech it's tires and we heard this loud BANG and what we thought was the sound of breaking glass. We thought someone had come around the corner too fast and plowed into a pickup that's always parked in the street. We grabbed clothes, threw them on, grabbed our cell phones and ran outside. Well, come to find out, the squealing tires were from a car driving away, after lighting a pipe bomb and putting it in our neighbor's mail box!! His mailbox is not 30 yards from my daughter's bedroom window! The mailbox was obliterated. It was so mangled that you couldn't even tell it was a mailbox anymore. The door for it was over 30 ft away down the street, and the rest was just twisted metal. If someone had been walking by when it went off, it could have easily killed them. Not only was the explosion bad enough, it was also filled with bird shot, which was the sound we heard that we thought was breaking glass. The b.b.'s were hitting the side of our house! I'm sorry about the long rant, I just can't imagine being a person who doesn't take anyone else's safety into mind when doing stupid things like that. There are so many little kids who live in our neighborhood! Anyway, I'm just super irritated..

Morning Ladies!

I miss you all! It seems like I havent posted in forever!

Amber, there is a Steve & Barrys out here...I should check them out over the weekend. The reason that Steve & Barrys is so reasonably priced is because they manufacture their own clothes (of course besides the few designers that they have now). I have decided that I will be going shopping this weekend because my clothes are getting very uncomfortable now...some I cant even fit anymore. I also know that Old Navy has some things on sale for about $10...I got an email about it so I need to check them out too. I didnt want to buy maternity clothes; I wanted to just buy bigger clothes but I would much rather be comfortable.

Krissy - I admire you for your patience and positivity.

Baby Ely - Your mommy is waiting for you...she's been waiting to see you. Come out and show your face!

Krissy -You're doing a great job! Keep it up!

Kanieka - I never bought bigger clothes. I had a whole box of maternity clothes passed on so I just wore them as soon as mine got uncomfortable. Unfortunately, that meant that after I had Hannah, I only had maternity clothes and clothes that were MUCH too small. If you see a couple of things on sale that are a size or two bigger, it wouldnt be a bad idea.

Kelly - I wish I had someone who could pass down their maternity clothes to me. I am still amazed that I am like this and I am only at 9 weeks. I thought you didnt show and couldnt fit your clothes when you were 4 and 5 months.

I didnt think about those in between clothes Kelly. That is a great idea!

I will be sure to keep an eye out.

Kanieka, I thought for sure around 8-11 weeks I was going to have to start wearing maternity clothes but it was only bloating. Hopefully you will be okay.

Hi girls-

I have been feeling yucky all day. I woke up with stomach cramps (up high) and haven;t really been able to eat. I feel yucky all around. Then my lower stomach started hurting & I got the big D. I just called the nurse line and the Dr thinks my stomach is just upset. So, I feel gross, and don;t know how to fix it. I've been in bed all day. I wish this would go away so I can feel normal for a little bit. Yuck.

Krissy-I keep checking on you, hang in there girl you are doing great.

Jen-Not to freak you out, but the big D could be the start of labor! That's what happened with me, although by then my water had broken and I just didn't know it, lol.

Jen-I'm with you on feeling yucky. Nothing sounds good and I ended up on the couch last night because I was so uncomfortable and feeling like crap. I'm trying really hard to get through it but frankly I know it's just being pg and likely not going to get any better. This last week has been rough on me. I really don't know how I'm going to make it 3 more weeks.

Krissy-I'm sorry things aren't moving yet and you feel yucky as well. You are a trooper! I'm completely done with being pg after how I've been feeling that I really can't imagine being 12 days over due on top of it.

Sara-That is pretty crappy about what those kids did. I can't stand crap like that.

Thank you all so much for your well wishes. I am out of bed for the first time today, and haven't thrown up since this morning. I haven't been this sick since I was ten years old (unless you count illnesses that are tequila induced). I spoke with the midwife, and she said that I need to sleep and get better and get some antibodies. If Ely is born right now, he could actually have the flu or whatever virus I have, also, and that would not be good. So, in a strange turn, I guess it is ok if he wants to hang out a few more days. I do think they will induce me Monday or Tuesday, though, so I am still hoping I go before then. Tomorrow would be good as long as I am feeling better. Anyways, I am going to go lay back down, I just wanted to keep you all posted. Thanks again

Jen--I have been hoping for the big D! I know it sucks, but Bina is right, it might be a good sign.

Thanks girls - I appreciate the positive thoughts, but I think I am getting the flu. I only had one bout of D, so it could have just been somehting I ate.
and now the hot flashes I had yesterday make sense & I feel achy. So much for the flu shot working.
The only new symptom, other than feeling generally lightheaded, is lower back cramps. Which could be from laying in bed all day. I think I was only vertical from 9-11AM. I am up now b/c we have some close friends coming over to watch the UT game.

I feel horrible not eating much today, but I really don't think I can do it. I am trying to drink as much water as possible.

Maybe I'll wake up in the AM & feel great?

Woohhooo!! 12w today!! I can't believe it. Monday is my 12w appt and I'll get an u/s. I'll post pics when I get back home. I went to see a free private viewing of Fireproof this morning. Seriously, preggo women shouldn't go see it. You will cry the whole movie. It was wonderful however!! After that, I went to the new house and painted the master bedroom. I LOVEEEE the color. I'll be sure to take plenty of pics of the rooms once we get settled in. Next Sat is moving day.

Stacey - congrats on 12 weeks!!

Well, I feel better. My stomach isn't cramping right now & I actually woke up hungry so I had some cereal. Maybe I just needed an extra 8 hours in bed yesterday? I weighed myself this AM & I lost 2.5 lbs. I hope thats ok. but at least I am feeling human again.
