Tricia, I'm sorry you have to go to high risk. Maybe once you get your bp down, you won't have to go back. Just be careful!! My friend had high bp toward the end which turned to pre-eclampsia and was on bedrest. Wouldn't want that to happen to you this early!! Hope you can get your u/s soon. My OB schedules them between 18-20 wks.

Amber, GL with your u/s today! Hope you see a great potty shot!

Val, hope today goes better for you. As for the big C: water, water, water & walking. Colace helps too! Don't get to frustrated though, because leads to hemis. I'm glad your hubby was there for you. That makes all the difference in the world!

Dana, Good for you to go into the dr. to hear the !! You're not crazy at all. We all understand how you feel. I'm glad your doc offered that to you. Hope the doppler comes in soon! LOL at lopsided boobies too!


I'm still working f/t this week. Figured I'd get in as many paychecks as I could. But, then I have 2 doc. appts. today, so I took the day off. My first since May I think. I hope the nesting thing kicks in today, because my poor little home needs it. Can't wait to see if my OB says if I'm dilated!! I hope so because I had BH for about 2 hours last night that were nagging painful. As soon as I sat down & ate & drank water, they went away. My poor little baby finally got to move around after all that squeezing.

Val - C is my enemy too! I've only had it once really bad but it is so miserable! Try to push the fruit too. I started on oranges and that really seemed to help too. My trouble now is that I need a stool softener. Pam is right hemis are a pain too!

Tricia - I don't blame you for wanting a Thanksgiving picture. I'm thinking about giving one to my MIL to hang on her fridge with the other grandkids. I thought that would be nice. It will probably drive my jealous BIL nuts but he is a poop most of the time anyway.

Crystal - That is so nice your MIL can come. I thought about asking mine to come but it is a vaginal one that is probably a little much!

Topaz - Yay for the u/s!! So much fun!

Pam - Enjoy your day off! It is a good thing the doppler is on its way....I'm a complete freak doubting myself all of the time! Such an annoying trait I have!

And speaking of my bratty BIL...DH told him about us expecting and he proceeded to tell DH about what a huge mistake we have made and how we are going to have no money the rest of our lives etc etc. No congrats or anything. And he knows about the trouble we've had in the past. He is always a ray of sunshine like that. But I felt bad for DH since it is his only brother and I had 3 siblings to tell that were all more than supportive. Why are people like that?!?! He has issues and thinks everyone else should too. Anyway, enough energy spent on him...I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Man....I am feeling really yucky today. I hate that. I know it's all going to be worth it in the end, but right now....I just feel HORRID! All I want to do is go home and go back to bed, but I can't afford to take more time off work....I was sick yesterday too.....man.......I may end up leaving after lunch if I don't feel better........cuz I really feel pretty horrible.

dana- wow i cant believe your BIL. i usually would chalk it up to he is a man and they are dumb sometimes but dh, my bil with his child, and other men i have seen have proven me wrong and amaze me with how men can be with pregnancy. your right, what a poop. i would blow up the sono to an 8x10 and have her put that on the fridge, lol

Crystal - HA! 8x10 - Good idea!! I hope we get there before he does. He is a seriously jealous crab. I'm sure he is worried that our child will get more than his. And that is physically impossible since he is constantly at my ILs with his hand out!! My MIL practically wipes his butt most of the time!! And he is really jealous of DH. Family, isn't is fabulous!?! I love the holidays except for having to revolve everything around him! That is how he thinks it should be. Last Thanksgiving he was so grumpy he came into the house late said NOTHING to anyone got a plate of food and went to the couch to eat by himself!!! I thought they should treat him like a kid and take his plate away and make him talk to the guests!! Anyway enough of him...

Ugh! Sorry but I have to vent.....I had my ultrasound done on my gallbladder last Friday and I called them yesterday and got the rudest lady ever on the phone and said well no we haven't got the results yet and practically hung up on me. I have called twice today about it because the first time they said they would call the hospital to try and get them, and call me back...well of course no one called back so a few hours later I called them back and I guess they got them but the Dr. has to look at them and they said to call back tomorrow! How long does if freakin take to get an answer! My OB apointment is tomorrow morning and I would like to let him know what is going on then, but I guess not!

Manda, Totally understand your thing about the u/s. DH & I knew more than my doc did today about my u/s which I had a week ago! They finally faxed over the results this morning just in time for my exam! Good thing nothing was wrong.

Jen, As hard as it is, keep eating!! Doesn't have to be big, but maybe a baked potato or crackers would taste ok to you!

As for my OB appt. today I'm 1 cm dilated! Yay, those BH are doing something. Just had to make another appt. for next week. No talk of inducement because I look big due to a little extra amniotic fluid, so the baby is about 7-8 lbs. We might have a Thanksgiving baby after all! I'm going to put up a poll for what you all think my baby is: boy/girl.

Wow, I havent been on in so long theres hardly anyone left from I was on here in the begining of my pregnancy! I feel bad that I havent been on in so long, I feel like I've been missing out! But we've had the craziest fall! But now things are slowed down some and I need the support of other prego's. This whole pregnancy has been one big worry after another. Im sure most of you don't remember me but I have endo so getting pregnant was rather challenging. And all the worries that came in early pregnancy with that. I started having braxton hicks at 16 wks, and then started bleeding and spotting regularly. I've had five ultra sounds now. And I have placenta previa. And last night I had to go to the hospital b/c I was having contractions every five min that last a min or longer for over an hour. Well they ended up lasting three hours total. So today we had a dr apt to follow up with last night b/c they wouldnt do an exam to see if it was real labor b/c of my placenta previa. So the ultra sound showed it's still too low. And now theres all these worries especially b/c of the contractions. I just dont even know what to think. Im trying not to freak out and worry too much but at the same time thats what I want to allow my self to do. I can't even leave the area b/c of the hospital and the nicu. So the dr told us we cant even go the three hours to my inlwas for thanksgiving or anything. And if the contractions happen again Im on total bed rest not just "rest" and then theres all the worries of preterm labor. At our last regular dr apt we were measuring three weeks ahead. Our orignal due date is Feb 19th and the doc doesnt think we'll even make it until Feb. So now with the contractions the placenta previa and measuring so big he's really concerned about preterm labor. And I have to have ultra sounds every few weeks to check my cervix and dr apt every two weeks. I just cant even think straight any more and really needed to talk to some other women who know what its like to be pregnant and scared. So any help/advice is highly appreciated. Sorry for the novel I just dont know who else to talk to.

Pam-Yay to one cm!!! Thanksgiving would be fun wouldn't it?? I'm definitely doing what the dr. wants, I don't want to have any problems. He's thinking that they might not do anything but just watch it because it hasn't really changed at all throughout the pregnancy so far. I think the majority of the reason it is high is because I get so nervous when I have to go. We'll just have to see what high risk says.
Jen-I hope you feel better soon!!
Val-I take a prenatal that has a softener in it. Maybe the dr. could switch you to something like that. I think mine is Prenate DHA. Its sort of a large pill and gross because it tastes like chocolate But I can definitely tell the difference when I take the other one instead.
Wanting-I hope everything works out good for you! I will definitely pray that everything goes as planned.
Today I went to Dominicks and bought a bunch of low sodium foods. I'm hoping this will do the trick. The high risk OB is supposed to do an ultrasound according to my Dr. Then whatever the high risk thinks should be done is what my dr. will do. I'm just very anxious about getting the appointment set up. I told DH that I don't even care if its a day I work, its worth calling off for.

i got my us today!!! the tech said she would bet her car on it that its a BOY!!! but she wouldnt bet her life just yet, lol. i have to go back on friday because the baby would not cooperate with the nuchal screening. we even tried doing a vaginal to get a better view but no luck, so i get to see my baby again friday, horray!!! i am about to post some pictures in the sono part. they looked better on the big screen tv they let you watch on but they are still cute.

Hi girls!

I guess it is time for me to start posting over here too. I am going to try to keep up with everything going on, but I bet I'll flop!

Quick question. Those of you with morning sickness that actually puked, did it make you feel any better? So far I haven't puked but I feel naseaus 24/7 it seems like. I feel better after I eat, but the thought of making anything to eat repulses me!

Also, did anyone take emetrol for nasea? It is on my list of approved meds.

Ksh- I took emetrol and it worked the first couple times I took it but then suddenly stopped working so I ended up having to get a prescription for phenergen sp?

wanting- Sorry about all the trouble you are having but when you get to hold your little baby you will look back and none of this will even matter. Glad that you are back!

Pam- Yeah to 1 cm!! I can't wait to find out what he/she is! A thankgiving baby would be nice! My brothers is on the 27th which I think is on thankgiving next year.

I have been SO busy today! I'm going to take a nice relaxing bubble bath now though! I have my Dr apt in the morning then its off to the 3D u/s place!
