Amber - I leaked a little clear liquid for a long, long time. I don't think you have anything to worry about at all, but if it will put your mind at ease, then call your dr.

Kristy-Avery was born at 36 and 1/2 weeks and she had a few episodes of apnea the day she was born so was admitted to the NICU for a few days. They couldn't find any reason for the apnea, other than the prematurity. Although she was a good weight at 6lbs 2oz and only a few days close to being full term at 37 weeks, so it is hard to think of her as a real premie. So I say let that baby cook as long as she needs to Did you finalize the name? Paige or Emma?

Amber-My sister started leaking when she was only 12 weeks, doc said it was like a prelude to colostrum.

Kristy-My sisters baby was born at 37 weeks and he went home with her right away.

Dani - Not much longer girlie! Hope you are hanging in there.

Amber - If you breastfeed, this will be the start of MANY more "leaking" incidences.

Happy Friday, girls! I am spending the day cleaning up the clutter that has accumulated over this week. It's actually not too bad. My family shower is tomorrow and I am SOOO excited! The baby room is starting to come together. We still need to paint, but I found a glider/rocker and ottoman on craigslist for $140!!! It matches the room, too! So I now have all of my major furniture bought.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Jo--Sounds like your room is really coming together, which actually brings up something Ive been curious about:
How do you all feel about setting up the crib before the baby is born. I am up for tenure this year at the college I teach at, and so I work ALL the time. I would like to get the nursery completely set up during my break between summer school and the fall semester, but people keep telling me that I shouldnt set up the crib. When is it ok to do this, or do you think it even matters? I feel like that is all very pessimistic and sort of old wives tale-ish, but if people really do wait, maybe I will too? Just curious how you are all doing this. We already bought the crib set, and have picked out a crib and glider (probably buy them next month). I painted the room blue, and we are decorating with moons and stars, and a sort of nursery rhyme theme for pictures and stuff. I am excited to get going!

Krissy- I had mine already set up and ready for him to come home with sheets and everything by probably 34 weeks (I can't remember exactly). I think if something terrible happened (which we won't even consider) your family could undo things easier then do them.. know what i mean? I liked knowing when I came home it was ready for him. That's just my opinion!

Krissy- Since DH and I had tried for 22 months before our BFP, I had a crib purchased w/in a month of finding out we were pg!! Bombay Kids was going out of business and I couldn't pass up the deal, so we bought the last one they had. It was already put together for us, so it's been sitting in the guest room, fully assembled, with all of our baby "stuff" in it for storage. We ordered our bedding in late April and it came late May, so now that is all set up. I'll post a picture of it all together in the nursery pics thread. Let me download...

We've had the baby's room all set up for a while - crib & all - even though I know that he'll be in our room in the bassinet for the first couple of months...well, I shouldn't say it's all set up - we have everything in the room & the crib is "operational". We've painted & have the furniture, but have to accessorize/put stuff on the walls.

Kristy - Maddie was induced at 36w6d & she came home with me - no problems. She was 5lb10oz and they had warned me that she might need some assistance with breathing since she was just on the border of full term....she came out screaming & pee'd on the dr.... I know how you feel - I am SOOO READY for this one to be born!!!!!!! I have a couple of weeks more than you, but it seems like it's been forever since I got that BFP!!!

I haven't been feeling too good today but I guess i'm just tired since I was so full of energy yesterday...so just a couple of weeks left before I meet my babies!!! I cannot wait! To think that I won't be carrying around so much weight anymore and to finally be able to bd with my DH!!! Oh it's going to be sooooo great!

Dani~ You just made me laugh out loud! Not much longer!!

Cole~ You are SO CLOSE!! Hang in there and try to enjoy the last few weeks, as hard as it is. Are you one of those people who missed being pregnant? I still miss it, and my baby is already 9 months old! If it wasn't for my sisters wedding in April of next year and my desire to lose about 15-20 pounds, DH and I would be BD'ing in two weeks.

Krissy~ We had the crib and everything all set up by about 26 weeks. I say do it when you have time because there won't be any time later!

Jenna
You are SO lucky to be one of those people who loved being pregnant! I definitely don't have that. I feel sick all the time still, and I just hate watching myself get bigger and bigger. I am obviously thrilled about the baby, but I don't think that I am one of those "glowing" pregnant women that I hear about. I feel sort of like I am on drugs all the time; between munchies, mood swings, and an inability to concentrate. I know it's worth it, but I don't know if I will ever do this again!

Krissy~ Man, I am sorry that you feel that way! I was one of the lucky ones - I didn't have morning sickness. I only threw up twice my whole pregnancy, and both times were because I waited WAY too long to eat. I was STARVING. YES, I HATED the weight gain. The good news is that it comes off. The last 5 weeks were really the only HARD weeks for me, and then you have this beautiful baby that you are SO in love with, and since that moment I can't wait to do it all over again.

Krissy- I'm with Jenna. I LOVED being preggo. I didn't have morning sickness either and I only threw up twice during my whole pregnancy. One was b/c I had a virus.
I want to TTC another baby once I lose the rest of my weight. Which at this rate, it should be before my bday in October.

I hope you start to enjoy it more before the baby is born, especially if you don't know if you ever want to do it again.

Anyone out there not like being preggo? I feel sort of guilty about it, but I have been nauseous or throwing up the ENTIRE time, which makes it hard to enjoy! I do LOVE feeling him move, though, so I guess that makes it better! I think it has a lot to do with genetics, my mom was pretty miserable, too!

Krissy-I just got my stuff from Viacord the other day in the mail. They have some decent payment options. We haven't decided either and don't really have a family history of illness but thought it might be a good idea. As far as enjoying being preggo.....I hope you too start feeling better and can enjoy it. Don't feel bad because I think I'd be the same. I've been fortunate to feel pretty good and therefore ahve been able to enjoy it so far.

Cole-Thanks for the link on the donating. That was my plan orginally but haven't had a chance to look into that yet. I assumed it was all free until I looked into and realized that I wouldn't be donating it for general use. Glad you found that is an option too......I feel like at least if we do that then if we ever did need something I'd feel like we had contributed.

Steph-Thanks for your story. It helps to hear about how toehrs have been touched by illness and how this could really help. Plus you just never know how things are going to turn out!

Jen-Feeling overall pretty good but fat. I think I've already gained 10lbs so now I'm worried I'm gaining too fast. Guess I'll find out more when I go back to the OB on Friday. How are you feeling? When's the big day for your gender u/s? I can't wait to schedule ours and really start planning.

Jo-Sounds like you really have everything coming together. I can't wait to get going on all that. Which is my plan hopefully in the next few weeks!

Hope everyone is enjoying father's day. Dh and I just got back from our 5 day road trip to TN. It was fun but hot and a lot of hours in the car. Which for us equals bickering. HA HA. But well worth it. Not looking forward to returning to work.
