My SIL had her baby this morning via c-section. She was fully dilated and everything was going normally until thy called the doc and he wouldnt answer. So they gave her something for pain and her labor stopped completely??? He was in the birth canal for four hours before they got her in for a c-section. Sounds fishy don't it?

Meanwhile, he's healthy, 6lbs. 14oz. 20 inches long. Apparently his head is funny looking from being squeezed for so long but it'll bounce back.

Well, I knew I didn't feel quite right today. I just lost another part of my mucus plug. I had a contraction after that but now it seems to have settled down.

It may be strange, but part of me is actually looking forward to labor in a way. I mean, it is such a powerful experience and that moment of when you first see your baby just can't be described.

Heidi - I posted some pics in the other thread. I still think I look like I am gaining weaight from not exercising....not looking pg. I got one of my bands at a boutique in town & the other one on Babycenter.com - they were $26 or 28 each. I like them b/c they kind of suck you in....makes me feel like things are a little "tighter" in the ab area.

Amber - Congrats on becoming an Aunt!!

Bina - We had a sono week 12 & week 13 & both techs thought it was a boy. I guess we'll see!

It was a long day today, but I can definitely tell I have so much more energy! Almost too much. I've gotten more done in the past 3 days than I have in the past 3 months!

I found a contractor to re-stain our deck today, had him come out for a bid, & hired him to start tomorrow. Very excited to get it re-done! I am having a shower for a good friend at the end of the month, and we decided to rent everything & have it outside b/c there are 40+ people coming. It may be hot & crowded at the party, but my deck will look good.

Dana - Yeah I won't be surprised if I was wrong because I haven't actually met you LOL! It is a LOT easier to make an educated guess if you meet the person and have a sense of their personality. I don't know what you are hoping for but either way as long as it is born healthy and happy!

Jen - You look great...your belly is still tiny! Wait until about 20 weeks, you will "pop" overnight !

Last night I spent a horrible horrible night!! I started getting a headache at about 9 p.m., by 12 I couldn't stand it anymore....anyway tried to sleep but kept waking up to pee...still had the headache at 5 a.m. but thank God I woke up feeling a bit better...don't even wanna call my doc cause he never gets my messages anyway and his nurses never have an answer for my prob.
I'm just hoping that my babies will come in the coming weeks, i'm going on 33 weeks and once i'm past the 34 weeks it's a lot safer to deliver them...sometimes I feel like they're ready to come out!!!
I'm gonna try to post some pics of my big belly before I don't have it anymore...

Jo-Love the bathroom. Can I hire your DH to come finish ours? HA HA. Ours has been tore up for 6 months and trying to light a fire under DH's butt to finish it before the baby comes.

Dani- I was 1 day from being 37wks. My girls weighed 5lbs 11oz and 5lbs even. So, I think they were pretty good sizes.

Wow Chrystie - your girls were great size for their age! My little one was born the same time (36w6d) and with her being alone in there, she was only 5lb 10oz.

Jen - I hated that stage! I remember telling someone when I was about 15weeks "If you didn't know I was pregnant, you'd think I just drank too much beer"...cuz it looked like I had a beer belly that jiggled & hung over my pants a little.

Cole - My stomach is not firm under my belly button, like I thought it would be. And I have gained some love handles. I totally feel like I ate too many donuts or something. I am really looking forward to getting past this inbetween stage.

Heidi - Thanks. I found out at the Dr yesterday that I gained 3 lbs, which the Dr said was "perfect". Its still hard to take, since half my life I've been trying to lose weight.

Its cloudy & lightly raining here. That throws a wrench in my deck re-staining.
Hopefully it will keep things a little cooler....it has already been crazy hot, so July & Aug are not going to be fun!

Cole-lol at beer belly! I'm at the stage when I wake up in the morning my stomach is pretty flat but by the end of day, esp after eating, it looks huge to me! But because I'm not wearing any empire waisted clothing I am not showing.

I don't know how much longer I can take this...the skin on my stomachs been burning for the last couple of days...must be all the stretching but definetely worth it if it means my babies are growing!!
Has anyone ever heard that when there's a full moon more women give birth?? I don't know if it's an old wives tale...but last full moon the hospital I go to was full of pregnant women, some giving birth, some about to...This month full moon is on the 18th and i'll be about 34 weeks and 1/2Hopefully theres some truth to what i've heard!!!

Hello, Ladies! I am really bad at this chatting thing. I post something, get very interested in your lives, but then I get busy and a few weeks go by before I get back on. Anyways, it was fun telling my family that it's a boy, and we even think we already have a name picked out. More out of deduction; we only agree on one name so far--Elijah. DH really likes Eli as a nickname.
I went to the doctor again to go over the sonogram, and I guess people were right. He said that the baby is measuring a week or two bigger than he should be. Has anyone had any experience with this? My husband and I are both small people, so I would be very surprised if we had some huge baby. And I was charting, so we know exactly when we concieved. I just hope he is healthy. The doc also said that I have developed a heart murmer, which my mom also got during pregnancy. He didn't seem too worried, but it is never comforting when you hear that there is something strange happening to your heart!
I was reading over all of your posts, and I can't imagine how cool it must be to feel twins kicking! I can finally feel him good, and it is so cool. He mostly only kicks at night when I am trying to sleep. I can feel it from the outside, but by the time I wake up DH so that he can feel it, the baby quits kicking. He is being difficult already!
Hope everyone is having a great June, I will try to be more regular. I am still planning on posting some belly pics; especially since people STILL keep telling me that I look huge for 21 weeks. Rude!
