Congratulations on the GIRL Heidi!! How exciting!! Do you have any names in mind? You should post her pic's for us! Did they get any good shots for you? Was she awake? Oh, how fun!!!!

We got our crib set in the mail finally yesterday. It is SO sweet!!! Now I am going to make DH put everything else on hold and finish up stuff in the nursery so I can start decorating. I am SO excited!

Hey, Team Blue, what did you all decide on circumcision? We are having a hard time. The US is the ONLY industrialized country to do it, and after reading, it looks like there really is no medical reason to have it done. We hate to give our son an unneeded cosmetic surgery, yet it still seems sort of like we should, especially since DH is circumcized? Just curious how other people are making this decision?

Can't wait to hear from Jen!! Now I think she is having a boy!

Oh man, I'm good. As I was scanning SO quick through posts just now, still some from yesterday, I passed that one of Heidi's where she talked about the water, and the thought came so fast 'girl'. I got da magic, baby!

Congrats dear on your PINK baby.

I got nuthin for anyone else though. No magic thoughts yet, sorry. I'll let you know. I'm getting my confidence back after being wrong about Karsyn.

I wonder...I recognize that I speak 'baby' because I've been around them in a serious way my whole life, since I was a toddler myself. I suddenly find myself wondering...I know I'm not psychic, but I'm ALMOST ALWAYS right about gender. I wonder...could there be some tiny difference, some slight hormonal influence that actually affect the way the mother acts/talks/thinks or something like that, something behavoral that 'triggers' my thought? And it's a language that I just 'speak' because I've been doing this my whole life? I usually get the flash earlier if it's someone I'm around physically, so perhaps mannerisms and things like that, really subtle stuff? I took one look at my oldest SD last year and 'boy' was immediately in my head. And she was only, like 7 wks. It's an odd thought, I know, but maybe not...the body does so many other amazing things, why would the hormones of the kiddo not affect the mom in some ways that you might be able to sense? Hmmm...interesting.

Heidi - Congrats on the baby girl!!!!!..let the shopping commence!!!....BTW, with this one, I thought the baby moving was just gas at first too...since he was pretty low...then I had the u/s & saw how low he was & connected the 2! Duh! You'd think I'd know what I was experineceing with the 2nd one!

Well, I'm officially fat! I had a dr. appt. last night & since my last one on Friday, I gained over a pound (a pound in 5 days!!)!! The nurse didn't say anything & at this point, I don't care! If I'm hungry for something, I'm gonna eat! It's my only vice!

Another reason I know I'm fat:
I was taking a shower & trying to shave my legs...I had my foot up on the bench we have in the shower stall, with my back to the shower head & I was just reaching the razor back behind me to rinse it off in the water...well, I misjuded how big my ass is & didn't go out to the side enough & ended up cutting my right butt-cheek with the razor!!! Now, I have a nice scratch, about 2 inches long right at the point where the elastic/leg portion of my underwear hits....nice! Of course, DH was all "you want me to rub it for you?" ...

Jeeennnnn - where are you??????

Geeze, with all of these gender u/s's, it's like getting a whole new round of BFP's...it's so exciting!!!!!

Kristy - you still around????

Bina - right there with ya on the wive's tales....I was sick with both of my pregnancies & I think I'm carrying pretty much the same way with this one as I was with Maddie (there's only so much room in your body for a baby to go!).... by the way, how are you doing these days???

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited and it's almost like finding out your pg all over again. Now I feel like we can really start to play and buy things!

I will get DH to scan the pics for me this weekend hopefully and post them. They got a few good ones. She kept trying to get her hand in her mouth so it was hard to get her face. But they d0 a 3d at around 29 weeks for $65. They give you pics and a CD. So I will for sure be doing that.

Thanks for the help with the gas/movement stuff. Now I can say that I have felt her. It's so exciting that it's all becoming real. And every time I hear the heartbeat it makes me cry! I think that was the part DH really liked too since he hadn't gotten to hear it yet.

Heidi--My DH cried at the heartbeat, too. He's over it now; especially since I listen all the time with the doppler. Wait till he can feel her move; that is really exciting! I think that's my DH's favorite thing so far. Now I am looking forward to SEEING him move! My friends with kiddos have told me that at some point you can see a little foot stick out or something! How creepy and cool! The other day I could really feel either his head or his butt (not sure which), because he was pushing it out. How funny!

Where the h$$$ is Jen? Hope everything went well for her! I am still dying to know. I am working on the computer getting a new syllabus ready for a class I start teaching next week, and I keep checking to see if anyone has posted! It is so fun to find out the genders. Amber; your next!!

Krissy- It is also crazy when your whole belly gets lopsided because the baby moves really far to one side. You won't believe the things that can happen. I have posted this before but I can remember sitting in my classroom rocking chair reading to my 3rd grades and my whole belly started moving where he was going nuts. They could see it through my shirt sitting on the floor. It was so fun!!

Hey girls!

I had to stop at Baby's R Us on the way to work to celebrate & buy some BLUE clothes! It's official -we'll meet Jackson Dean Sparks in November.

I am giddy right now! DH is thrilled too. It was so great to finally see him again, kicking his little legs & rubbing his eyes & sucking his thumb. Everything looks great so far! Whew! Now I can relax. It feels so much more real now.

Cole - Sorry about the shower incident. I've done things like that when I'm not pg, so don;t feel too bad!

Heidi - You are going to have so much fun shopping! The little dresses are soooooo cute!

CONGRATS, Jen, and Welcome to TEAM BLUE!! And I Love the name! We actually considered Jackson; but our last name is Brown, and Jackson Brown is an old musician. How exciting; be sure to post some pic's!! Did you get some good ones? Sounds like he was active. I'm jealous, Ely slept through the entire thing. Luckily he slept spread eagle!!

Wow, one for team pink and one for team blue; Amber, can't wait to see where you land! I agree with Jen, the little girl dresses are SO cute! I Love shopping for my niece! Boy stuff is funny, though. My husband is a contractor, and last week one of our friends gave us a stuffed hammer and a little outfit with bulldozers and tool boxes on it! SO CUTE! I love when people dress little boys in the little bar hopping outfits--too funny, or the plaids that you either have to be under 5 or over 80 to pull off! Have fun spreading the news, and I am so happy for both of you that your babies looked healthy and happy!!

Steph - you can't give yourself credit for ones that you didn't actually say beforehand

Heidi - congrats on the girl! I might have missed it but have you and DH settled on a name?

Jen - congrats on the boy! I love the name
