Ok, I think that Jen and Amber are having girls, and Heidi is having a boy! That's my bet; Just to be different!
Seriously, though, I don't think you can ever tell. People told me that if you are really sick in the beginning it's a girl. I was super sick, and it's a boy. I do think I am carrying like a boy, though. All belly, all in front, and super low! My sisters were SURE it was a girl, and the only dreams I had were girl dreams. It is just SUCH a surprise; even if it turns out to be what you thought; to actually know is just SO cool! I can't believe I am so excited for you girls! I can't wait for you to find out! Have you thought about how you are going to tell your family, or if you are?

Well my mom is meeting us a babysrus to help us finish our registry after the U/S so she gets to see the pics and provided she doesn't F****** irritate me between now and then I'm sure my DH will call and tell his mother afterwards. Sorry for the language but as usual I want to strangle her. evil overbearing b*****. I could slap her. Play it cool.

Heidi - Glad you are feeling ok. T minus 16 hours for you & 18 hours for me!! I am a little nervous about the weigh in....oh well, nothing I can do now.

Christie/Krissy - I think it is a boy, but I love surprises, so I would be just as excited if it is a girl.

Jo - Tell DH sorry. I am in LOVE with the Marlowe conversion in the dark wood (the one that turns into a full bed) & have convinced myself that we'll use it for all 3 kids (3 is the plan) and then the last kid will use it as a full bed. We are looking at the dresser too - the furniture is exactly the style we love, and I really wasn't able to find anything like it at the baby stores. It is more than we planned to spend, but I am thinking of it as bedroom furniture, not baby furniture. & we do get a coupon for registering, so that will help a little.

I think Heidi is having a boy & Amber is having a girl.

LOL! I take it you have an excellent relationship with the in-laws? Luckily my MIL lives in Arizona, far from here. Thanks to caller ID, I don't have to listen to anything judgemental if I don't want to! She had 5 children (even birthed one breech with no drugs), all organic food and cloth diapers, while working full time. She was superwoman, so I try not to talk to her when I feel overwhelmed with my life.

We have definitely settled on a name. Elyas, or Ely for short
(pronounced EE-Lie-Us. It is the greek form of Elijah) I used to think it was wierd when people picked a name beforehand, but it is SO nice to have something to call him other than "baby". Plus, I don't have to worry that we will change our minds. We read the entire 10,000 Baby Name book and this is the ONLY boy name we agreed on! Now if I could just figure out how to get people to quit suggestion other names...

I love everyone's predictions and can't wait to see who is right. Here are my official ones...me-boy, Jen-boy and Amber-girl.

Amber-My mother drives me crazy too. She lives thankfully 3 hours away and as Krissy said I also utilize caller ID! Her and I went at it pretty bad when we got married. So I put my foot down pretty quickly with being pg about her involvement and what I want. It actually has worked well I think and has helped me not get too stressed out. I know at times she doesn't like it but I'm very independent and DH rely on each other so much because we don't have family close.

Jen-Been meaning to ask you if you've felt the baby moving yet? I'm not sure but over the last week I get these weird kind of gassy flutters. I definitely didn't have them before.

Heidi
Is this your first baby? If so, you may wonder if you are feeling it, and yes, That is the baby you are feeling!! I know it seems like it "could be" something else, but it's not. I felt it the first time at 16 weeks, and was so convinced that it must be gas. I was 20 weeks before I finally realized FOR SURE that was it! It gets much harder, and by 22 weeks DH could actually feel it from the outside (SO exciting!) I have been told that it's easier to determine on your second or third pregnancy. I think feeling him move is my favorite part of being preggo (probably the only thing I really like so far!) Except that he moves a lot at night, starting around 7:00, and I am teaching night classes from 6-9 so it is sort of distracting. I feel like everyone knows, but obviously they don't! Speaking of; I better go get ready for class-

Krissy - I LOVE the name you picked!

For some reason, Heidi, I'm feeling blue vibes for you, too.

Krissy-I think all those old wives tales about being sick and how you carry is all BS when it comes to predicting gender, lol. With Avery, I was not sick at all and I carried low and in front.

Heidi and Jen-can't wait to find out what you are having!!

So my husband is a furry man. I don't really care but he hates it so we bought wax. I was a little hesitant but he said do it so I started waxing. I have this on video but I have been forbidden to upload it so... Lets just say he was not a happy man and I didn't get far, before he was done and I ended up shaving it for him. Now I sorta fear for my pubes next time I got to sleep.

Overall it was HILARIOUS but I wouldn't attempt it again.

Krissy-Well then I'm going to say that those were baby movements. I thought at first it was gas too but then it went away as quick as it came. And yes this is my first too and have heard the same about being able to tell more with your other pregnancies. I can't wait either to feel the "real" movements and for DH to be able to feel it too!

Rebecca-Can't wait to see if you're right with along with me! Hope you have a great vacation.

Amber-That's pretty funny about DH!

Well I'm drinking my water and juice....trying to get in the 32 oz. the nurse told me yesterday to drink an hour before. I will post later this morning once we find out!!!!

Morning everyone!

Heidi - I think I have felt the baby move for the first time about 2 weeks ago, but it happened quickly, and since then, it usually happens really fast before I can focus on it. My SIL (& brother)felt her baby kick for the first time last week, at 22 weeks.

Amber - that is funny about DH. I get a wax every month & it is so not fun....but no razor burn!

DH & I talked last night & he definitely has his fingers crossed for a boy first, "so he can take care of his brothers/sisters". So cute.

I am working from home this AM until we leave for our appt - in about an hour! I am just giddy b/c I get to see the little one again. I feel like its been so long!
I think I might play hookey on the way to work & stop by Baby's R Us to buy something.

I guess Heidi is at the Dr now. Can't wait to hear!!

Will post when I get to work!
