I had a vanishing twin when I was pregnant with my now 3 year old, I've heard it is common, but even so it's sad .

Anyone else swollen? I officially have cankles. Also, my left foot is far more swollen than my right. Is that normal?

Snowie-I was reading your post about your "cankles" and your ticker totally says your at that stage to have them. I thought that was funny.

I have some pretty swollen ankles at time and sometimes worse on one side too.

Snowie- I have cankles too... and so far, with my weight gain (30-35lb), that's the only thing that has bothers me with this pregnancy....plus I know it's worse when I can't put my feet up - like when I'm at work.

It has been a crazy weekend! I've been going, going, going, since Thurs - I started picking out bedding, then DH bought a new car, and then friends started flying in for the baby shower at my house yesterday. The shower was great & I think my friend really enjoyed it, but I had a major breakdown friday night. I have finally realized that I cannot do as much as I used to, and not sleep well. I was literally exhausted & I just lost it emotionally. No more big parties at the house while I am pg. It was so good to see everyone & catch up, and I had fun, but was in a daze for half of it. I am so glad its over & I don't have any obligations for a while.

I have curled up on the couch & I am going to try really hard not to move all day! I hope there are some good movies on tv.

Amber--What day is your appt? I am so excited for you! I have an appt. on Wednesday, and I have SO many questions to ask!

Jen--I agree, it is really frustrating not to be able to get as much done. It drives me crazy all the time. We just cancelled our 4th of july plans, which included company at our house, because I just don't think I can do it all and work (I start teaching 2 new classes this week). Can't wait to see new pics; have you grown quite a bit? I think that my biggest growth spurt came between 19 and 20 weeks. What kind of bedding did you pick out for his room? Do you have a theme or color scheme? We are going to start the nursery this week!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Ely is kicking me all the time now, and I can actually see him moving in there! He rolls around a lot, and last night I sort of freaked out because I thought I may have hurt him. He was kicking and rolling, and I was trying hard to pull this mat out from under the dog, my hand slipped and I hit myself right in the stomache; right where he had been kicking. Then he didn't move for about a half an hour! I was really scared. He's back to rolling all over the place now, so I guess it's fine!
I don't know what ended up happening with the basement flooding situation. I have not gone down there, and asked DH not to even tell me what was going on. It was stressing me out. I am assuming he will call someone to deal with it in the morning, and in the mean time I think he is just pumping it out. Yuck.

Snowchild- My feet have been doing the same thing for the last couple of weeks and it seems that my left one is worse than the right.

So it's Sunday and i'm still hanging around, we'll see how the day progresses...I was sooooo frustrated yesterday cause all my family was over and I just felt like being alone I just wanted to go to the hospital to get some peace and quiet!!!LOL
Anyway we'll see what happens today, I have an appt. with my doctor on Monday but I don't want to make it til then, hahaha sorry if I sound crazy but this is getting to be too much for me to handle!!

Bugaboo & Gail - I had a vanishing twin too. It was hard to understand. Mine was no pain just reabsorbed into my body. But I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl and couldn't see it any other way.

Happy Monday morning, all! Another day with just me and the painters. Should only be a couple more days now until we are ready for Phase II, carpet. It's getting closer.

Amber- tomorrow is the big day, right? G/L with seeing the goods.

Amber - Only one day left!

Snowie - I am much better now, thanks. I rested most of yesterday & then did some leisurely shopping for a couple maternity things & some new sandals. & a new comfy strapless bra - a necessity in the heat of the Texas summer. I've bought a bunch of stuff for Jackson, mainly clothes, but I am going to slow down. I am going to focus on picking things for the registry.

Krissy - It will be good for me to slow down now. I think we are having people over this weekend for bbq, but a small crowd so it shouldn't be too much.
I think I am having a "small" day today. I can see how I have grown, but if you didn;t know me, you probably couldn't tell. I plan to takes pics tomorrow.
I am still thinking about the bedding. I need to go back to the boutique to see what they put together for me. & I need to re-look at the Restoration Hardware bedding. Surprisingly, it will be alot less expensive then having something made. I wanted baby blue, chocolate brown & green (like a celedon), but we'll see. I may just stick with brown & blue & white/cream. How about you?
