Jenna- no, we both have always imagined having 3+ kids, but we got such a late start as it was and then we had to wait for Dominic to come about...DH wants to start trying a.s.a.p. on the next one, given that it may take longer than we would like. I told him to let me adjust to the ONE and THEN we can talk about the spacing we'd prefer.

Jo- We want 3 as well. Maybe 4. It depends on money and the ecomony and such. I see your point. You have it right - get used to one baby and then you will know when you are ready to do it again. The baby bug never left me, so I've been ready since Jaicee was born!

The "Oh really?" type expression was hilarious.

Amber--I'm so jealous! They did not make me a video at my gender u/s, and I got a lot fewer pics. I will try and post my 4D face picture this weekend; it was the best one we got, but I am bummed since we didn't get one of the classic baby profile shots. You got great pics, He is adorable; any names?

Dani--Are you still around? How are those babies coming?

Jo--I love the name, too! Hopefully I will have some of the beginning nursery pic's to post by the end of this weekend. DH took some cute belly pics, too, so maybe I will post those.

--Well, I went to the doc today, and he said that everything is looking great. He told me that I am measuring normal, just on the bigger side of normal And he also told me that my weight gain is normal since I was underweight to begin with, and I probably will end up with a total gain of 45-50 lbs To make me feel better, he assured me that I shouldn't have a hard time losing it since I have such good eating habits!
Baby Ely is also doing good; they couldnt get an accurate heartrate because he was moving SO much. When they put the doppler down on my left side, he rolled all the way to the right side and my stomache got really lopsided. Then they put it on the right, and he rolled back! He quit moving for a second, and they put the doppler down, and he kicked it! The woman's whole hand popped up, and you could hear the thud on the doppler! It was really funny. When I told them that he moves like that all the time, they told me that he is an extremely active baby, and obviously big!
On the crumby side, it seems that the "puffing" has begun. All week I have not been able to get my rings on, and they said that my feet looked slightly swollen, too. I have already cut most salt out of my diet, but it is really hot here, and there is not much I can do. Let the swelling begin! Oh, one question, has anyone else's blood pressure gone up? Mine went up a little from last time, and the doc said it is nothing to worry about, but with the fear of preeclampsia and everything it got me a little worried Sorry about the lenght of this; I didn't mean to write a novel!

Jenna-I feel the same way about having all girls. I used to want one of each, but now that I have a girl I think I want more of them!

Jo-Thanks for your comment on Avery. She is at such a fun age right now!

Amber-You did get a lot of great pics. We didn't get nearly as many either but they will do a 3D with video in another 10 wks.

Krissy-Glad your appt overall went well. I can't wait to start feeling the kicks. I'm still getting the occasional flutter/gassy feeling but nothing yet. I think I want it to also help with reassurance since appts. are every 4 weeks!

We ordered our baby furniture finally. I've been so anxious to get it ordered. I can't wait for it to come in. And I have my rocker/chair picked out too. Just need to go back and get it ordered. I'm starting to get really excited!

I called my OBs office to see if they have officially lifted my restrictions and the nurse said they don't have the full radiology report back yet so no. I was looking forward to the long weekend and may finally getting to BD! And I guess I did an oops by mowing the lawn since I assumed it was ok when the tech said everything was fine and had moved up. Oh well I don't think I could of done anything to hurt the baby. I probably tired myself out more than anything!

Heidi--When did they put the restrictions on? I'm sure that you didn't hurt anything mowing. My sister had 100% previa, and bled through the ENTIRE pregnancy. She was on bedrest for a long time, but her little boy Andrew is 11 weeks now, and very big and healthy. Dr.'s told her that her case was VERY rare, and usually it resolves itself, so I wouldn't worry. I was thinking about movement, and I bet you start feeling more soon. I think I started to feel a lot in week 20, and DH could feel it by week 21/22? It was like, one day I couldn't really tell if it was baby, and the next day he was practically punching me out! Your right, it is very reassuring, but then you just get to worry if you don't feel it for awhile. I think that I will always be worried about something!

Krissy- I bet Ely will be like Charlie. He beat me to death when I was pg. Then, once he was born he was never that "delicate" baby. I swear he could practically hold his head up from birth.. he was so strong from all that hard work he did inutero!

Krissy-I had the bleeding episode at 12 weeks and nothing since. So that's when they put the restrictions on. But my placenta was barely touching/covering the cervix so definitely not like your sister's. I read up again on it last night and likely had I not had that little bit of break through bleeding it would of never been detected because according to the tech last week it resolved itself. And when that happens you are never even put on restriction because it wasn't even known. So I'm not going to sweat it. Guess I'll just continue with the restrictions until I go back to the OB on the 18th.

Heidi - Thats exciting that you ordered the furniture. What color did you go with? Do you have bedding in mind?

Krissy - Glad everything looks great.

Jen-I ordered through The Baby's Room. The furniture is by Bonavita and is in espresso color. The only bedding I found so far is through Target that I like. I'm a very picky person incase you all can't tell! HA HA. I'm going to keep looking though. Do you have yours picked out? Isn't so much fun doing all this stuff? I never thought I'd ever get this point of actually planning for the baby!

Heidi - We don't have that store. I love the dark brown wood - thats what we are going with too.
I have narrowed the bedding down. Photobucket isn't working for me right now, so I'll try to post the pics later. It will either be the fabrics in the pics (blue/green) or blue & brown from restoration hardware. I really wanted the light green, but it is alot more expensive to have it made (double). I am trying to decide how important it is to me & where I will cut back if I spend the money on bedding. I'm trying to be responsible.
I love doing all this! I am going to Baby's R Us shortly to use coupon & add some things to the registry. And I am going to try not to spend too much money.
Have you felt the baby kick yet?

Jen-I feel you on trying not to spend too much and keep things on a budget. It's hard! I love the dark wood too. A lot of our furniture is the darker wood colors. I'm hoping some day to redo the hardwoods to a little darker color too. We are hopefully going to babies R Us this weekend to start the registry. I can't wait and DH just got his fat OT check! Haven't felt any kicks yet. Anxious to start feeling her move. How about you? Feeling Jackson move yet?

Jen, Heidi, and Amber--I was going to ask Amber after seeing her pic, but since you are all around the same stage, thought Id ask everyone. Are you in maternity clothes yet? I had to move into them really early, partly because I am carrying so low. Amber--looks to me like you are carrying a bit higher; hopefully for you that means you have an easier time with pants/skirts! Heidi and Jen; you both need to post pics soon! I went to Kohls yesterday, and shopped in their juniors department. I was so excited to get some stuff that was not maternity! They had all of these really long shirts that are supposed to be worn with leggings. I have been living in my pre-preggo capri goucho pants, so I figure that I can wear them with those, since they are considerably shorter on me than they should be!
DH is asking for a raise today so that we can afford the daycare I am interested in. I am SO nervous to see him after work!
