Jo-That's awesome DH loves the belly. I think DH likes the preggo belly too. But he has issues with the baby and all that. I'm trying to get him past it but honestly I kind of knew that he'd have a hard time.

I am rather surprised that DH hasn't commented about hurting Dominic or thinking that Dominic can "see" something. I think about that more than he does. Now that the room is getting more crowded in the belly and I feel him moving more strongly I find that I get more distracted and don't really want to BD as often.

Heidi ~ Don't be too worried or freaked out about not wanting sex post-baby. We've always had a good sex life (didn't do it much while pg though) and post-baby sex was/is AMAZING! It is by far better than ever, so you may be pleasantly surprised after the baby. I even had a 2nd degree tear and waited until 9 weeks postpartum and when we did DTD and it was so great I was like why did we wait 9 weeks!!!

Jo ~ Your new belly pic in yor siggy is beautiful!

Kayla-Thanks. We were so active with TTC that now I was getting worried we wouldn't go back to that afterwards. I'm not so worried about it while being pg but just want to make sure we have an active sex life afterwards again.

Kayla--Thank you so much for saying that about post-baby sex! I am constantly worried that things will be "different" in a bad way, it is so comforting to hear the opposite.
Jo--I am also surprised that DH hasn't said much about the baby when it comes to bding, especially b/c the belly is SO in his face! I am HUGE! It makes me feel really good that he is still attracted to me that way, and it helps me to get over any wierdness I might have. I did notice yesterday that he seems very concerned about squishing him. If we are bding, he doesnt want to be in any position where any weight at all might possibly end up on my belly, and he almost pushes me up higher when I am on top (sorry, TMI) The baby kicks so strong now, that I keep thinking it is going to freak me out while bding, but I actually think that the movement must put him to sleep. I swear, it is the ONLY time that he doesn't move. Good boy!

Heidi--LOL about the lingerie! I have a bunch, and only one thing from before even kinda fits. For whatever reason, having some that didn't make me feel like a cow really helped with bding. I think it is very normal for DH to be a little freaked out. Heck, I think it is normal for anyone, male or female, to be a bit wierded out. After all, it is sort of weird! Does he go to appt.s with you? You could always ask the doc with him there; it might reassure him to know that the two really have nothing to do with eachother. There are sections about it in all of the preggo books I have, too. And if not, I wouldn't worry. Im sure that you will get back in the groove post baby. Try the blindfold thing. Maybe if he can't see the belly it will be "out of sight, out of mind" and he can concentrate more on DTD. If he is having a hard time not thinking about the baby, then you really can't blame him for not being into it. Obviously, the two thoughts do not work together, but maybe helping him "forget" for awhile will help.

Well, Enough sex talk, I better get on the road. It is 90 degrees outside, and I have noticed that I get overheated really easily lately. I hope that the air in my car works well; sometimes it acts funny and there is NO way that I can make a 4 hr drive without air! Have a great weekend ladies!

Heidi/Krissy - We haven't been bding as much as we used to & I actually started to get a little self conscious about it. I asked DH & he said he is trying to be accomodating b/c he knows I am tired at night.
But I have had some good dreams. Last Thursday I had such a good one, that I woke DH up to bd at 5 AM. It took him a few minutes, but I think he liked it. He has brought it up a few times since

So my appt went nice. I'm at 150 pounds! I was a lil heavier than my usual self pre-baby so it's only a 10 lb gain but I almost choked on my gum when she weighed me.

Oh what an amazing day to bring up the sex thing. I was asleep last night and I recall waking up really frisky but then dozing before I could react. Well DH was watching a movie and apparently i rolled over, told him to F*** me, and went back to sleep. He said he was too shocked to know what to do so I said next time go for it. lol. But I have had some INSANE dreams. I don't think our sex life has slowed much since being pg. Now that Graham is really moving and shaking in there it's starting to weird me out a lil bit. It seems like he tries to hide in my ribs every time we BD. DH is totally unswayed though.

Jo - I forgot to add - Yay for the new sig! You look great!!

Amber - 10lbs is not much at all! Personally, I have decided to focus on the weight gain, not the total # (it was starting to stress me out!)

Krissy - Have fun at your shower! I can't wait to hear about it!

Krissy~ One word of advice - bring your cute pants to the hospital, but pack a pair of either comfy sweat type pants or maternity pants as well. My lower abdomen was SOOOO sensitive after giving birth - I didn't want ANYTHING touching it. Luckily we were discharged at about 9pm at night, so I wore pj pants home. Elastic ones. That I wore LOW. Just something to keep in mind.

All of this sex talk....I was a LAME preggo. I never wanted DH to touch me. Poor guy. We got "handy" a lot when I was pregnant, but that was about it after about 24 weeks!

Krissy- I wore cotton capri workout type pants and nursing tanks (from Target) with a little zipper short sleeve shirt so it was easy to nurse and yet I was covered and wasn't concerned about my jiggly tummy LOL

I agree on wearing something comfortable home from the hospital. My belly was fine and actually went back down right away, but everything "down there" was so sore that no way would I have allowed any denim anywhere NEAR there, lol.

Thanks for all the advice! I am cool with wearing pj pants home, I will definitely bring some, but I REFUSE to put my maternity pants back on! I hate them all; even the cute ones. Any suggestions on where to get some cute nursing tanks? Also, people keep telling me I should buy some nursing bras now, but with the tanks and the bras, how the heck am I supposed to know what size to buy? Obviously, my huge belly makes it impossible to know what size tank I will need after birth, and I have heard your bbs grow a ton within a few days of birth as they get milk. What did you guys do?

Welcome back, Dani!! I can't wait to hear your story and see more pictures of those little cuties!

Amber--Yay for a good appt.! Like Jen, I am trying not to look at the weight number (although it may be for the opposite reason, as I have gained so much!) Now when I go in I stand facing away from the scale and have asked them just to let me know if it starts to be abnormal. I don't want to know the number!

Well, I am getting ready for my shower tonight! Two of my friends who are nursing called and asked if they could bring their little ones. I am so excited to see them! One is only 5 days old (I don't think I would have the guts to take him to a shower!), and the other is one month. I don't like being the center of attention, so I am glad that there will be new babies there to take some of the spotlight off of me. Have a great weekend!

My bff swears that GlamourMom tanks are amazing- I think they sell them at BRU & motherhood. She gave me a couple withher maternity clothes - I hope the girls will fit in them!

I used a nursing tank from target for the hospital. I don't even bother with it anymore. I rarely even wear my nursing bras anymore b/c they are not very supportive and have AWEFUL shape. I just use a normal bra (VS) for the most part with a normal shirt and we just hike them up (or down if low cut) for her to nurse. I got 1 black and 1 white nursing tank before birth and that was plenty. My belly also went down in the hospital but with a tear down there I only wanted pj pants on. I went back to school that week too with pj pants and a pillow to sit on! Advice: Don't bust the buck on stuff you may not need. HTH!

Got some news! I just lost some of my mucus plug. I called the doctor's office and talked with the nurse. She told me to just relax and keep track of any other signs. There was no blood, so they are not worried at this point. They said that you can loose the plug and it will regenerate or it could kick-start labor. I've got to wait and see what my body will do...

Tomorrow is already August 1st-I'm starting to really freak out! Pray that Dominic will stay put as long as he needs to.
