Jo-Yay for being a SAHM! I wish I could be one too but it's just not financially feasible. So, I'll be returning to work after my 6 weeks. But being a teacher, my hours won't be so horrible I suppose. As for Annabelle, I don't think she did it knowing it's the baby's room. I'm sure she'll be fine when Dominic gets here.

Jen, Jo-The taping went okay. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be though I still got tongue-tied.

Well had my check up with the OB. Everything is good. Finally off pelvic rest and can resume normal activities! Now we'll see if I can get DH to do a little BDing since it seems like forever! Also she said I can do painting. Yahoo. So now I can finish up the baby's room and it'll give me something I can do so DH can do the other things like the yard work. HA HA.

OMG, I just experienced the funniest thing. Dominic has the hiccups and I realized that I haven't listened to him on the heart doppler when he has them so I took a listen. They sound just like when we get them!! I got up to get my video camera so I can post it, but he has changed positions and the hiccup sound is pretty faint. If I can catch them on video I'll post it. It's so funny!

Heidi- YAY for being off of pelvic rest! Your DH deserves a good romp in the hay!

Well, we had a plumber over last night to give us an estimate on moving the laundry from basement to second floor. I think we will probably go with a different plumber; not because his bid was bad, but it really pissed me off that he would not answer my questions and would only talk money to my husband. It is MY money that is paying for this, and I want to work with someone who is not such a chauvanist! Also, get this, he asked me how much weight I have gained! Who does that!

Anyone else sometimes get cramps that feel like menstrual cramps? I have had them off and on throughout the pregnacy, and am assuming they are just growing pains, but it scares me every time. I have them pretty badly this morning; but Ely is moving all over the place, so I am not too worried about his well being, just wondered if anyone else has this?

Krissy- I've had them on and off throughout and more recently lately. Since I am getting so close, I've been really keeping on eye on their timing, just to make sure they are not trying to tell me anything. I always feel better after feeling Dominic move, too.

Hi ladies!!!!

I'm home! Brendan Vincent was born on Thursday July 17th at 10:15 pm. He was 7 lb 14.5 oz, 21.5 in. long. He is doing great! He was a trooper throughout the entire process!
I had a couple of episodes of my heartrate dipping low - like into the 30 bpm. range. I never even knew except for everyone pointing it out on the monitor. At the time of delivery, I had 3 people from ICU in the room standing by in case something happend to me, but obviously, nothing did. I had to wear a halter (heart) monitor from yesterday morning til this morning right before I got discharged. Brendan had his discharge approved before I did due to waiting for the release from the cardiologist.

He is such a great baby! He only really cries when he is hungry, wants to be changed or is cold.

I've had some problems breast feeding, but I expected it since I had a very hard time with Maddie last time. I anticipated not having enough supply and have been supplementing him with formula, and still trying to pump right after he finishes a bottle...so it's like a natural pattern. .. I'll keep on trying to pump (just so I can keep track of my progress and supply) as long as I can!

I'll update more later - I am freaking exhausted & sore - the kid's head was 14" around, so I had some tearing and am pretty sore! He was really really low by the time I was ready to push so I only had to push for like 10 minutes.

Cole--He is BEAUTIFUL!! You guys look like such a happy clan! Good luck with breastfeeding; I know that it is hard, but everyone keeps telling me that as long as you stick in there, it will work out. Congratulations!

Jo--Love the pic's! I like the one of you laying down with your legs up in the air; very creative! Your hair is so gorgeous! I'm jealous!

Heidi, Amber, and Jen--You guys feeling those kicks a little stronger now? Have your DH's been able to feel?

Snowie--How are you feeling? Any "signs"?

Well, I am convinced that Ely is either going to be a musician or a dancer! We went to the Ani Difranco concert last night. I have seen her before, but never at this venue, and the show was great. It was hard to concentrate on the music, though, because the second she started playing, he started dancing all over the place! My whole belly was moving, and he kept it up for the ENTIRE concert; 3 hrs. straight! DH thinks it could be because I was so happy, maybe I was giving off some sort of endorphins; I just think he liked the music! This morning I came downstairs and he wasn't moving at all. Put in the Ani cd that DH bought last night, and sure enough, he started dancing again! Anybody else notice that music has an effect on baby? I love it; I am going to be blaring music for the rest of this pregnancy!

Krissy-The room is already a periwinkle blue color so I'm leaving it because it was only painted a few years ago when we moved in. But we are painting a white boarder around the ceiling, the ceiling a fresh coat of white and the closet from pink to white. We got a lot done this weekend by taking turns so hopefully it'll be done soon. I forget how long it takes to do this stuff as we haven't painted anything in quite awhile. That's really cute that Ely liked the music! I saw Jimmy Buffett last month and wished I had been further along to see if she moved around during it too.

Krissy- I have noticed that Dominic also moves more with music on. He particularly likes music with a strong beat and music that is predominantly instruments only-like jazz or big band. Of course, that also the music that makes me feel happy so maybe the endorphins have something to do with it? I bought a lullaby CD of popular U2 songs. Anyone ever hear it? It's pretty cool. It put Annabelle to sleep.

Jenna and Snowie- thanks! The pictures were so much fun. We got over 200 pictures total! The "hook 'em" picture was for DH. He and his whole family went to UT. I went to the UT campus here in Dallas so we say I went to the stepchild school.

Snowie- keep us informed of any symptoms. I want to know what to be expecting as I get even closer.
