Woops, I posted on the June chat this morning, sorry!

I am very much looking forward to my 3 day weekend from work (they are counting Friday as the holiday). Saturday we are going to our friends house to have a cookout with them and their family. I'm looking forward to it. She just had a baby boy on the 12th and I hav en't gotten to see them since they were in the hospital, so that will be fun. Other then that it is just a lazy weekend for me... I will just be hoping I go into labor. LOL!! I am so ready to meet my baby girl!

I just got back from the doctor. Babies are looking good-we had another NST. My labs came back negative for pre-e, but I still have the high blood pressure. So they're going to have me do NSTs twice a week now until the end. That's fine with me-every 3-4 days I get to check in on my babies

Irene~From what I've seen on other message boards, NSTs are common for twins, women who have had previous stillbirths, and people having complications. I think it's a check to make sure the placentas are still functioning as they should.

I'm trying to think back to the last few pages of the June chat...I had my baby shower too and I'm trying to get stuff put away. I need to go now and get things that we are missing. I have some size 1 diapers, but I didn't realize there are smaller sizes. I'm thinking I should go get some, since chances are these babies will be under 8 pounds.

I've also been getting lots of BH. They're keeping me up at night-even worse than the constant peeing. Ugh.

JJ- yay for the good ultrasound!

Well ladies. I had my Drs appt today. I am only 1 1/2 cms dialated. The Dr ordered another ultrasound for next week. She said that she thinks the baby is getting too big. The ultrasound last week said she was 6 lbs 9 oz, but I think the dr suspects it was off by a lb or so because she thinks she's bigger.... If I don't have the baby soon I will be induced on the 13th!! I can't believe it is only about a week and a half away! I am excited but nervous at the same time. I like the thought of induction only because I am a planner and I like the fact that I know when it is going to happen... BUT I still hope that I go into labor naturally before the 13th because I hear induced labors are harder and lead to c-sections more often... Well, just as long as our baby is ok I will be happy.

DH is scaring me. He keeps talking about how he thinks she's going to be "about 9 lbs or so"... Uhm OUCH! Lol

JJ - yay for a good NST!! That makes sense that they would take more precautions with you because of your past experience and also the twins. Since everything is going great, it must be nice to get all those checkups. I know the blood pressure is worrying but at least your pre-e test came back negative so hopefully it won't be a big deal. The Newborn size diapers I have say they go up to 10 lbs and when I asked on the baby side a few of the moms said they definitely used that size for awhile.

Wow Vickie - thats so great that you know a date since I know you want Alis to get here sooner than later!

Mare - enjoy the lake! I wish we were doing something exciting for the 4th but the place we usually go to watch fireworks cancelled them!! I know we can always watch the big show here in the city but its such a madhouse that I really wasn't looking forward to that.

Crystal - I can't imagine trying to sleep with different shift schedules - its so hard as it is to get a good night's sleep. I'm glad that you've had an easier time the last few nights but hopefully a day shift opens soon.

AFM, I just want to keep my LO in there as long as possible so right now I don't care if I go past my due date!! Maybe as I get even bigger that will change but so far I still have days when I feel great and only every once in awhile does it get uncomfy. I know I've been lucky with very few icky symptoms (except heartburn) but I have to say maybe I'm weird but I LOVE being pregnant. I'm also a little (okay alot) more nervous about having a newborn around LOL! I had my first birthing class last week (I know its late but its crazy how quickly things get booked here in NY ) - the first one wasn't all that helpful since it was a bunch of breathing stuff and visualizing your happy place. Does that stuff work for anyone?!?!?! There was a video which I think was good so DH got to have a better idea what to expect since I don't think he has a clue.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone!

I hope everyone had a good 4th of July! DH and I went to our friends house for a cookout with them and their parents. It was a lot of fun.Her baby boy will be almost exactly 1 month older then my LO. He was born on June 12th and I'm getting induced on July 13th. I can't wait to see them grow up together

Irene- you aren't weird. I've heard of plenty of people who really love being pregnant. And it's completely normal to want your LO to stay in there as long as possible, especially if you don't feel ready or if you don't have everything ready yet. AFM, I'm just really impatient. I'm a planner and everything has been done for a while so the wait is killing me!!

RAC- thank you!! I really wanted to get professional preggo pics done, but we never got around to it so I just had DH take a pic of me and I blurred the edges on photobucket to give it that "dreamy" feeling :P

Wow Mommies... July already?? Really??? What happened to June?

So our 4th was nice and relaxing, I felt like I needed that. I've been super sleepy, and I'm not really sure what to blame it on: working long days at camp, my discontinued use of caffeine and junk food, or just being prego??? DH was worrying about me last week bc literally all I did was sleep, (well aside from work). It's been so nice though, he has kept up with the laundry, and cleaning, and even went grocery shopping for us. Heck, he is even making my lunches every night before bed for the next day! Amazing how much he has already changed! Other than that, I've been feeling great so far. I did get "sick" today, but I'm blaming it on forgetting to take my prenates last night and trying them on an empty belly this am?? I have never dry heaved so hard and long in my life. It was terrible. I'm just crossing my fingers that it was in fact the vits and not the beginning of am sickness... I'm not sure how well I'll adapt to that??? Other than that, I've been wanting to start a blog, somewhere other than my calendar (which I'm still totally confused about), and my prego journal to write things. I have seen a ton of really awesome sites, I just need to make the time to sit down and do it! I've also wanted to look around and see if I can find a "to-do" list? I just feel like theres something I'm suppose to be doing, or will need to do and will forget. Vicki, I'm so much like you... everything needs to be planned out and organized, ready to go! Maybe I'll feel better about things after my first appt on the 20th? Well I'm off to bed for the night. Hope everyone had a great weekend, and hope the week stays nice!

Ashley-- I was SUPER tired for the whole first trimester. It was really obnoxious; but the rest is good for you and your LO.

Vickie--Ely was 9.9lbs. You'll be fine! Inductions can lead to c-sections more often, but even if that does happen, as long as you are both healthy you will not care how she gets here! I actually think that the reason they lead to more c-sections is because you are more likely to get an epidural with an induction, and it is actually epidurals that rise the c-section rate. If you were planning on an epi either way, I wouldnt think it would matter much! How exciting that you will be a mommy soon!

Ashley, I am super tired also, like I could take a 3 or 4 hour nap everyday if possible, but it is just not going to happen. I was like this with the girls too, so I know it will pass

Krissy, yeah I'm kinda afraid of that! It drives me crazy to waste an entire day away on sleeping. I've been trying so hard to be productive and its just not happening anymore. I guess its good to get this over with now while its summer and I can be lazy rather than when school starts back in the fall! And I totally understand why it is, its just tough. Guess I'm fortunate to have a dh that pitches in and helps out huh!

Well I guess I'm glad to know I'm not alone. I've been taking them and then wondering how it is that I can still sleep all night. Its amazing.

well ash, you know i slept most of my first trimester away lol. i would sleep until about an hour before i had to work. and i was asleep more hours than awake, but it did get better, hard to believe as your trying to plan your next nap. i remember i would feel guilty for sleeping so much while dh dealt with the house and family that i would go and take a bath just to sleep for 20minutes in it!

Ashley - Being tired is very normal. I wasn't sure I was going to make it out of that stage but it gets better just as quickly as you got so tired! Rest now.

I have a question...I'm wondering if I should be concerned about this or not. We ate dinner last night and after eating DH got stomach cramps and had D. I thought oh too bad for you and within 30 mintues I had the same. It only lasted a very short time went to the bathroom and it was over. I'm guessing it was something we ate?? I cooked it myself and it was all done well. But of course I'm dreaming up the worst case...just wondering if I should call the dr. or just leave it alone? I guess at this point I'm not sure what he would do since I have no additional symptoms.

Dana-I am sure you are fine if you aren't feeling any other symptoms, or aren't getting dehyrdrated. But of course, if in doubt it couldn't hurt to call the Dr. to put your mind at ease. BTW, Are you finding out the gender?

Vicki-love your pic! it looks like a professional one. How exciting to have a date set! I was induced and had a quick labor without needing a c-section, but this was my second baby and I went in already being 4cm dilated. But i think if your body is ready inductions aren't too bad.

Irene-I felt exactly how you do when I was PG with Avery! I felt so great and loved it, and was terrified and not prepared for a newborn. And then she went and came early. This time around was very different, lol.
