Discuss I had my first ultrasound today :) at the "It's official....I'm Pregnant! Section" of the Conception Tips - Pregnancy Tips - TTC and Conception Forum; At 6 weeks 4 days. We saw and heard the heartbeat, it was 112 bpm. I'm hoping ...

Default I had my first ultrasound today :)
At 6 weeks 4 days. We saw and heard the heartbeat, it was 112 bpm. I'm hoping that is good, my RE said it is fine for right now but I can't help but worry.

Oh yeah..lol. Today I said to the u/s tech, well can you tell what it is? I was just joking of course and the tech knew that but there was a dr in the room and she got all serious and said " you will be able to tell at about 16 weeks". Then I felt bad for joking around .

YAY Gail! That's awesome. Looks like we are pg buddies. We're due a few days apart. I had my 1st ultrasound on Friday.

tammi what was the hearbeat bpm when you had your ultrasound on friday?

Gail~I'm sure 112 bpm is within normal range at this stage or your RE would have said otherwise. I know it is hard but try not to worry.(((HUGS)))

Congrats, Gail! I am pretty sure (from what they told me at that point), that hearing ANY heartbeat at 6 weeks is Great! They couldn't even pick up my baby's heartbeat until later than that; and he is doing great. Try not to worry; Congrats!
