Val ~ Yay to an appetite (both kinds ) I completely understand about the family. Your SIL would make me mad too. It sucks that you can't make someone care, no matter how hard you try. My family (the closest to us as far as traveling goes) NEVER visit on their own. My mom has been making me sooooo mad b/c every time I talk to her she is like "You don't have to come Christmas Day." I can understand saying it once, but this is like 5 times she has told me that, like they don't want us there. And then today she said she saw some of our family at Sam's Club and they were all asking how big I was (we will see them on Sunday) and my mom told them how huge I am blah blah........She hasn't even SEEN me because they NEVER visit!!!! I do always try to send pics (and never get any back, or even feedback) but I didn't think I looked as gynormous as she was making me sound. Okay, I am sooooooo sorry I stole your rant, LOL!

Awe thanks Christie. Unfortunately my mom is the type that you are WAY better off to just smile and nod and try to let it go in one ear and out the other. I have learned to pick my battles with her. I truly believe she has NO CLUE of how she actually comes across, at least to me. I didn't learn to do that until DH came along, THANK GOD for DH! He is my ROCK!

Default YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted a couple of months ago when we were ttc and I thought that it would have to wait until his tour was over in Iraq in 15 months. So he left on Dec 2nd, day 9 of my cycle and thought that there was no way. But God had other plans. Took the test and it came back positive. I couldn't believe it for a little while so I took a second and sure enough positive. We're due the same day as the first baby would have been, August 31st. Had to tell my husband over the phone and he typed with such excitement. The last year was so hard but I have a really good feeling about this one. We have wanted this so bad for the last couple years, and the timing is about as good as it can be when you're in the military. He will miss the pregnancy but come home for the birth. Then he'll miss the first couple months. Still so thankful. Glad I found a great group to share it wih.

Antjenken- Congratulations on your BFP!!

I had SO mush fun at my dad's last night! We got to open our presents and then my dad wheeled in the fanciest bassinet I have ever seen in my life! I was fighting back the tears! It vibrates, palyes music, a heartbeat sound, rain sound, and waterfall sound. It even has a light on it! The part where Rylan sleeps lifts off so you can carry him around in it and underneath is a changing tables! I'm off to post pics now!!

Dr. Kayla, do I need to get antibiotics if I have developed bronchitis? I got cedar fever, or something; had NO signs of illness or congestion until Tuesday a couple hours after getting up, then started hacking up all this gunk from deep in my chest like I'd been really sick. Anything I blow [sorry, TMI] out my nose is clear and I'm not even congested in my nose or face, it's all a reaction to the chest stuff. Which is not green, just slightly tinged brown.

I'm trying to drown myself in fluids (I had a/b 40oz of gatorade yesterday and probably 70oz of water!), I've been sucking on halls menthol drops, I just started taking some robutussin today (I got some generic stuff that is the expectorant with only a little cough suppressant), I tried benadryl yesterday and pseudophed (how the heck to you spell that?).

Doctor me up!

Steph ~ Haha I'm a LONG ways from Dr still but it definately sounds like it could be an infection. If it is that bad with being deep in your chest and colored (brown or green) I would DEFINATELY say see a doctor to make sure whether or not it is viral or bacterial. The only thing would be getting in now with the holidays. You can always go to an urgent care clinic or the ER (urgent care would probably save you a little $). Keep it up with the fluids though! You may want to use a humidifier to help loosen up some of the "gunk." Sorry I'm not much help yet, I hope you get to feeling better. Have you had a fever/chills/hoarse voice or any other associated symptoms?

I know, but you're OUR doctor.

That's the thing; I feel FINE, except for this coughing. I'm just a little worn out from the maintenance of it. My nose started running yesterday (totally clear) and usually in conjunction with a cough, and I didn't have to GOOD tissues until a few hours ago, so it's all sore. No chills, no fever, no headaches or bodyaches, nothing. My throat isn't even sore, except in the morning before it starts to losten up (but that's b/c of the different way you breathe at night, blah blah blah). And *whispers* I suspect that the coloring of the mucus could have to do with my smoking. Believe it or not, smoking a few cigarettes really starts to loosten it all up in the morning, then I get in my very steamy shower which I've been turning on full blast and full heat. Much of the coughing is controlled -- an attempt to clear the way, and I have no dry cough. So, I'm confused. It's just a suck time of year (retail jewelry business) to be trying to do things like go to the doc.

But I probably should go though, b/c the cough comes from pretty deep and it's fery raspy, until I get enough power to shake something loose and get it up and out (yuk, I know). I guess we'll see how it goes over the next day or so. I'm working straight through the weekend. Ugh.

Hope everyone is doing great.

Antjenken/Jenna - Congrats on your bfp! Definately was meant to be welcome to this side

Manda - That bassinet sounds incredible.

To all those complaining about family - I feel ya! My sil decided to not come down on Tuesday. The half hour drive is proving to be too much for her. So my family won't get to see my nieces. That and then my ex stepmother is trying to get them to go to her house....needless to say I voiced that if they went there instead of my house that they really need to reconsider their definition of family and that I would be truly ticked off - they say they aren't going but we will see.....my ex stepmother is pushy to put it nicely. Gotta Love Family

Hello Ladies!!

Kay - single digits!! Awesome!!

Ant - CONGRATS!!

I'm in on all the family blahs too! DH's mother tries so hard but BIL is a PITA! Everything always revolves around his schedule and he is normally so grumpy he won't speak to anyone. Opening gifts is like a race so you don't see what anyone got. And we have Christmas with them tonight but we don't know what time... Very annoying. Anyway, I guess that is every holiday for that matter. Thank goodness my family is civil and nice to hang out with!

Steph - I hope you are feeling better soon.

Well I need to take a nap...I went to church and they needed help decorating so we stayed for a little while to help. Now I am pooped.

Yeah, I have grumpy pants at my house too.

Thanks Kayla and Dana, I am doing MUCH better today. Keeping it up with mega fluids and that expectorant cough medicine -- I can totally feel the difference. "Things" are much more fluid when I cough, and I sound better. I think I'm going to make it.
