Hello, I'm 25 weeks pregnant today. I woke up feeling great this morning, but then all day I've been having these feelings of anxiety (heart racing, heart in throat). Nothing is out of the norm and there is nothing stressful going on. Anyone know if this is normal pregnancy stuff or should I be concerned. I don't want the babies heart speeding up too much.
Thanks, Tara |

Calling the doc is always an option. That's why they're there, you know? |

I asked my doctor about my heart racing. She said it shouldn't go much above 130 beats per min and shouldn't last for more than 15 mins. Chalk it up to hormones. I get a pounding racing heart about 3 times a week but it is never over 100. I would still talk to your doctor about them. If you are really worried about it just call your OB's office and leave a message for the nurse to call you back.

That happens to me all the time. Mostly when I'm laying down for some reason. I never remember to ask my OB about it when I have an appt., though. I think it is some sort of anxiety caused by being pg. I remember reading about it a few months ago. If you are worried, call your OB and let us know what he/she says, too.

Thanks for the replies. If it continues, I think I'll call my docs office. It's probably getting worse cause I'm stressing about having stress. Crazy! I'm gonna post my info on the stats thread.

I get the same thing every now and then, and it makes me really anxious, which doesn't help any.
I keep reminding myself that my body is now producing a lot more blood, and that causes all sorts of physical changes. So far, when it has happened, it only lasts a short while and goes away. Let me know if the dr. tells you anything important! |
