Jo-You have probably left, but I would say that sounds like it could be the real deal and keep Dh close by just in case, at least through your 9am appt.

Bina- thanks. We are still here until 8:30. I just took a shower and made sure I had everything I need in my bag. Will bring it with us, just in case.

Betsy is my buddy so I'll update her if need be. Otherwise, I'll let you all know how today went when I get home.

Send me easy (and QUICK) labor vibes!!

Oh, Jo! I am so excited for you; I hope this is the "real deal"! Sounds like it could be to me. Good luck at your appt.; I will be sending you good mojo!

Alison-I could NOT eat chicken the first trimester (which is strange because that is usually the only meat I like). In fact, I couldn't eat much "real food" at all. I just ate a lot of breakfast food. For whatever reason, that didn't seem as gross. I couldn't cook because it grossed me out, so I would make DH cook things like pancakes; I figured that they had eggs in them for protein, milk for calcium, and he would add blueberries or cut up bananas for extra vitamins. I also ate a LOT of cinnimon muffins. I don't know why, but for awhile that is all I could tolerate. I read somewhere that cinnamon and ginger both settle your stomache; so maybe that is why cinnamon muffins worked. I would just buy the package at the store and have DH make them, and then snack on them. Good luck; just try to get some protein. If you can't eat eggs, eat things that have eggs in them. Or maybe some red meat?

My appt. is at 11:00; I am going to go get ready right now and head over. I hope we get to see him today; at the last u/s he was so squished that we could barely make out anything. Today's u/s is a level 2 (whatever that means), so maybe it will be better.

Jo & Krissy-Thinking of both of you this morning and hoping all goes well with u/s and possible labor for Jo. Keep us updated!!

Well they sprayed for the bees last night. They had started their little hive in the ceiling under where the door is at. Not many left and not a big hive by any means. Glad we did it. Now we just have the finish caulking where they were getting in at and should be all set.

Our baby furniture is in. I'm so excited. I want to go this weekend to get it but we still have to finish clearing the room out and a few odds and ends. So we'll wait til the following weekend. Which will be perfect as it will be right before my first shower. And people have started to purchase things off our registry! None of the big items yet but still exciting!

Thanks, Heidi. I am really nervous, but trying not to be. That really doesnt help and I know it.

Congrats on no more bees, and YAY for furniture! Don't worry about getting the big items at your shower; no one got us the big items, but we got lots of gift certificates and used those (and the things we returned) to get everything else on our list. I think my sling should be here any day now. Chris got one of the front to back carriers, but I ordered a cute sling online and now I am just waiting to see if it looks like it will fit. I ordered a small. I am guessing, it says to get the size you were before being preggo, which would be XS, but my boobs are going to stay big for nursing, so I figured a small would do. It is really hard to know what size you will be! I am having the same problem with nursing tanks.

Oh, Jo, I hope I'm not too late! I just got on to find the news! I had the same bloody cm (and never got that with an internal) when I was in labor. That's part of the reason I freaked out with Betsy on the phone. lol The pains sound the same as well. Just watch to see that they get closer together and more intense. Oh, I can't wait!!!

Sorry ladies for keeping you in suspense. The verdict is... still don't know! I am waiting on my doctor's office to call me back.

Had the u/s and all looks great, including kidneys, but Dominic is measuring 35/36 weeks instead of 39. Six pounds, five ounces. The doctor there told me that he is just a small baby and the placenta and cord and amniotic fluid looks okay for now. He is sitting "sunny side up", which sucks! As soon as I got home I started doing stretches to try to get him to turn and ended up getting a little relief.

I have a slight fever, which is why I called the doctor's office and am still waiting. Grrr! My MIL came over to sit with me and brought me something to nibble on. I still am having pain, I think I am getting used to it now. Hopefully this is the early stage of labor and will progress from here. I know something isn't right, I just don't feel well. It's hard to time the contractions b/c the backache is constant. Could be from his position. I have to keep my hands on my belly in order to feel the tightening. My tummy seems pretty tight at all times.
Anyway, I'll let you know what the doctor says as soon as he calls. I know they have lunch at 11:30, but COME ON ALREADY!!

THE BABY IS HEALTHY!!!!!
My amniotic fluid level dropped a little, and all of his organs are looking good! He is just under 5 lbs, ther is still a lot of fluid, but out of the "danger" zone! I am SOOO relieved! We got to see his squishy little face; and he looked content. The tech and doctor both told me that with so much fluid, I probably won't make my due date; but they think I will at least make it closer (maybe go three weeks early?) Also, at this point my doc said that there is no increased risk of c-section or cord prolapse! YEAH!!!!! We still won't know if something is causing this until delivery, but everything they checked indicates a healthy baby! THANK YOU everyone for the good mojo!

Now Jo, what about your updates!?!?!? It MUST be the real deal, or she would have posted again by now, right? Oooh, I hope you have good news, too!

Now, totally seperate question, and I can't believe this is happening when I was JUST at the doctor. On the way home, I stopped to get groceries, and when I lifted the milk gallon I got an EXCRUCIATING stabbing pain in my lower back, on the left side only. I thought I must have picked it up wierd, but on the drive home I got two more of these, and it took my breath away. Got one more since being home, and had to steady myself on the counter. Do you think I pulled a muscle, or should I be letting my OB know that I am having such a serious back pain issue? It REALLY hurts. I thought I would just sit for awhile and see what happens. I can't even get the groceries inside. Ugh, from one problem to the next, huh?!

Jo-I hope Dominic turns for ya'. As for his weight, I wouldn't worry about it. Maddie was born at 39 wks 2 days and weighed 6 lbs. 9 ounces and is perfectly healthy. I'm a short 5'2" and weighed about 100 lbs (um, prior to pregnancy) hence, the smaller baby. I hope this is it for you!!!

Jo- Hmm.. that's tricky. I remember Bina felt like she was just sick when she was really in labor. I hope your office will have you in to check you out for peace of mind. Yay for a small baby . Boo for sunny side up.

Krissy- YAY!

Jo--We must have been posting at the same time. Sounds like things are starting, sorry that you have to wait! So happy that Dominic looks healthy and his kidneys and everything look good. I am so happy that we both got good news. Try to relax; I have a feeling you are going to need your energy very soon. Oh, my MIL delivered two of her children sunny side up. She said she had a bit more back pain, but other than that she didn't think the labor was much worse. Hopefully you can get him into a better spot! Good luck; keep us posted!
