Jo--No, I haven't seen The Business of Birth; if you get me the post I will be sure to check it out. I know that I look as though I could go anyday; yesterday in the grocery store I had one guy who worked there say "Somebody's about ready to pop"(rude?), and a woman say, "So, you must be due anyday now". It was actually kind of frustrating considering everything that's been going on. I wanted to say, "no, I am full of fluid, but thank you for reminding me!" I go in on Tuesday morning for the ultrasound; DH is coming with me. The semester starts on Monday, and I am sort of dreading walking into class. I know the students are going to take one look at me and start getting nervous about how long I will actually be there! After all of this hugeness and talk of preterm birth, DH keeps joking with me that I will be one of those people who are three weeks overdue. I sure hope not; Imagine how big I would be!

I had enough sun for the day (I seem to be soaking it up faster since I pg) & DH went to play golf, so I thought I would catch up with ya'll!

Jo - Glad you are feeling well! I was wondering if I'd missed anything in the last couple of days. It sounds like Dominic is waiting for his grandma to make it back.

Heidi - So sorry about the bee hassle. Glad you got it taken care of & that DH is back home!

Amber - What a great gift from you MIL! Sounds like you are all set for the nursery in the new apt!

Hi Jess!

I heard the business of being born is good, but I don't think I am up for it.

Our flight was delayed out of austin on Thursday, so we barely made the flight out of Dallas (DH ran for the gate & I followed as quickly as I could - wow, I can't run anymore!) Out luggage made it to Mexico about 10 hours later.
We are having a great time. Great weather so far! We went into the city of Cabo San Lucas last night & had dinner at a small local place, and then listened to live music at Cabo Wabo. We got Jackson a little traditional Mexican shirt that is handmade - so cute! I am definitely relaxing!

Oh, and my good friend had her baby girl on Thurs (the only girl of all my pg friends!). She only dialated 8 cm after about 15 hours of labor, and the baby hadn't dropped, so she ended up having a c-sec. Mom & baby are doing great! I can't wait to see her when I get back!

Jen- Hola, chica! Glad to hear your vaca is going awesomely. You should buy Jackson a little sombrero. I don't know why, but I LOVE babies in hats! They are adorable!! Especially boys, they look like little old men. hee hee!

Alison- great to "see" you posting. I know how awkward it is to get used to new people, but just jump right in! Tell us more about yourself. I am with you on Sept. 8th being so far away! I'm just inching towards Sept. 1st as it is!!

Alison--Are you having any morning sickness? I know that the first symptom I had was smell; EVERYTHING smelled terrible (and I kept thinking everything smelled a little like bbq sauce!) Did you say you are going to find out the sex? Do you have any preference (I know you just want a healthy baby, but I think everyone sort of hopes for one or the other!)

Jo--Still haven't watched it; but DH just pulled up so we are going to check it out tonight, I think. Is it long?

Jen--I am SO jealous of you right now!!! Have a virgin daquiri for me!

As for the bees-they are mostly gone. Not flying around like on Thursday. Just the last few that must have already been in the house. Thank god! So at least I haven't been stressing about it all weekend. We are still having them come out Monday afternoon to spray as I want to be sure they are gone and not finding another way in! Oh and I realized yesterday was 3 months til my due date!

smells are pretty terrible, at first thats the only thing that would make me sick but now I get sick at random times for no reason (which I do appreciate since it comforts me in knowing my little baby is doing just fine) we will find out the sex so we can be totally prepared as for which sex Im hopeing for I am honestly just excited to take what I can get I have had 2 m/c and i have only been pregnant 2 well 3 times now but Im getting my little baby out of this one so I just want a happy healthy beautiful baby. . . I am so jealous that you ladies are so close or just so much farther than me!! I cant wait to be a little closer to end goal.....Little baby Paquette!!

Allison--I remember feeling the same way; totally jealous of everyone that was further along! You'll get there. One piece of advice, have lots of sex and wear cute clothes; pretty soon both of those things get much much harder! LOL Sorry you are feeling crumby, but you are right; it is a good sign that things are doing what they are supposed to do!

Heidi--Good luck with the bees, and YEAH for 3 months to go! They will fly by! I am down to 7 1/2 weeks; totally shocking. Until last week I was counting months, but now it is actually under 2 months, which seems crazy. I do wonder how long I will actually make it. I hope to keep him in there for at least 4 or 5 more weeks.

K, girls, I'm back. I had my first internal and it wasn't too bad. A bit uncomfortable, but nothing bad. Anyway, I am only at a 1cm. He didn't give me a % for effacement, but said that my cervix is softening and shortening, which is good.

He also scheduled another u/s with a perinatologist tomorrow morning at 9 to take another look at Dominic's kidneys. He said that he is not worried, but just to get a better look at things he wanted me to get a better u/s than his office would get.

I am home now and have had some bleeding. That's normal after an internal, right? I will call his office if I notice it getting worse. Right now it's only when I wipe, but it is red blood, not brown. Any ideas if I should call?

Jo--Could this be your bloody show? My lamaze instructor told us that often times you get it right after sex or an internal. If so, YAY, that is just one more sign that you are close! And Yay for 1 cm, at least something is happening! I would go ahead and call you doc, but be sure to ask if that could be it! I'm sure they will tell you everything is good--and good luck with the ultrasound; I am sure Dominic is just fine in there (he is obviously comfortable!)

jo-good luck tomorrow. yes, the light bleeding is normal with internals when you are this far along. Well 1 cm is something. That is exciting.

Krissy- yep, I'm still here. I've been walking, stretching, squatting, trying to get him to "head on out". What time is your appt. tomorrow? We may be getting them together. Prayers being said for both of our boys.
