Jen~ I didn't start showing until about 16-18 weeks with my first, but everyone is different. I'm sure you have that "bloated" feeling about now, which is normal. Like I said, everyone is different and it probably all depends on how you are built. If you are very thin, I would think that maybe you will show earlier since there wouldn't be a lot of pudge for the little one to "hide" behind. Hopefully that answers your question.

Jen- I am 5' and pre-pg weight of 115. I started showing (just a teeny bit) at 12w. If you look at the March belly pics I posted my 12 week and my 16 week as a comparison. My 20 week photo will be taken this Monday, so we'll see the difference. I didn't get maternity pants until maybe 14 weeks??? Man, are they AWESOME!!

Heidi- SO glad that you got to finally see your little bean and all is well. What a stress relief!! Now the sinking in part will begin to happen. I am just now starting to feel the little one move so it is definitely more real to me now! I know, only 19 weeks later! On Monday I'll be halfway there.

Congrats, Heidi!

Jen - I bought my first pair of mat. jeans at 6 wks. I didn't want to squish the baby though. I wasn't "showing" until the 2nd tri, but I was so much more comfortable in mat. pants.

Jen-I think I'm in the bloated stage as Val mentioned because yesterday the nurse did my weight and I'm the same. I found it hard to believe because I too at times am eating like crap. Frankly eating out sounds better than cooking healthy. She told me that's normal right now. I'm going shopping in a little bit and was think of just buying pants a size up for right now. Mine are also getting snug but I think it's just being bloated and not really showing.

Steph-That is very funny. I think I would of fallen off the table if she found 4 in there!

Dani-My hcg started out at 2000 and within 4 days was 8000 so they thought I had more than 1 because it was so high already. But as I read up on things it just really depends on how the woman metabolizes it and can't always be a predictor as to how many there will be.

Karyn-Thanks! I'm going to start this weekend with my belly pictures. I saw you're ready for your last shot! I'm really excited for you to be back TTC and will be stalking you!

Thanks again everyone. It was such a huge relief and I feel so much better having that over with! I think I'm going to move my ticker up a few days. After he explained the whole math thing yesterday to me and it's based on women Oing on CD14 it put me at 8 wk yesterday since he thinks I o'd on CD10.

Heidi- I totally forgot that I bought a pair of regular jeans in a size up. Now they don't fit anymore, but it was a temporary fix that worked for a while. I've heard that post-pg I'll be wearing them again until the weight begins to come off, so I think it was worth it. Congrats again!! I know how comforting and amazing the sight of a little bean snuggled inside is.

Thanks for the info girls. I think yesterday was just a case of bloating & an older pair of pants that I hadn't worn in a while. My jeans feel fine today. But the idea did make me think about what I am eating, which is probably a good thing. I have gained 2-3 lbs, but I lost them when being treated for OHSS, so technically I consider myself even.
But, I love to shop so what were your favorite places for maternity clothes?

Jo- you're tiny!

Heidi - I love that you moved your date up b/c now we are pg twins! It will be fun to compare things over our pregnancies. Btw, where do you live?

Hey Ladies!!

I bought larger jeans to wear for a while then I finally just decided the stretch maternity was the better route! I don't remember when I started showing but I am just now having people come up to me and say that I am "finally" showing. I guess I was hiding all winter! It was hard to tell with my winter coat on too! Now I can't really zip up my winter coat.

On the subject of calculating your dates...somehow my dr. and I are off by a few days. I say I was 32 weeks yesterday he told me I was 31 3/7. Great...so we get to drag this out a bit longer?!? Then he goes into how "scientifically" they say that women can go 3 weeks over!! But he won't let me go more than a week and a half...STILL WAAAAY too long in my book! If it is the middle of June I don't even think you guys will want me around and you don't have to deal with me directly!! It was kind of a shocking talk since I've been hoping and praying for so many weeks to not go early and then all of a sudden I'm told I could very likely go over!!?!? He was not my friend at that point. I'm hoping for a good 38 week baby and I will be a happy camper...we shall see! Anyone have plans for the weekend? I really need to get my butt in gear and get a car seat!! We will see if that happens. Well, I'm off to work, talk to you guys later.

Jo-I was thinking the same thing about buying up and then I cna use them after the baby too.

Jen-It is so exciting that we have so much in common with our pregnancy. And frankly glad because everyone around me has already gone through the madness so they can relate to some extent but not the same. Especially once you put the IF factor in there! I live in Michigan around the Detroit area. You're in Texas right?

Dana-Dear lord I think I would kill my OB if they let me go 3 weeks over. That's crazy. I'll be anxious to see what my OB says.

I made my first OB appt. for 2 weeks. It's so exciting! I love my OB and I know she'll be so excited to have me back being pg.

I switched to mat. jeans early, at like 10/11 weeks bc I was bloated. I had some "fat pants" from where I had lost weight earlier in the year and I used those for quite a while before I wore all maternity. I needed the pants WAY before the shirts. JMO

Heidi-WOO HOO to seeing the heartbeat and your little one!!! I'm so happy for you!!!

Kristy-Yep, my dr is the one who did the egg retrieval. I had no idea. The orientation/interview went okay. They sounded interested in our story but we haven't gotten a definitive answer yet other than "we really like you guys."

Cole-I hope it's nothing serious! How are you feeling now?

Val-Um, yeah, I'm totally with you on the going vs not going thing. I'd much rather go!

Dana-I wouldn't worry about the weight, especailly since you were so tiny to begin with. You look great. And my OB has my due date 4 days behind my calculations too! Strange.

Amber-You're so close!

Jo-Yay for hitting the halfway mark!

Jen-I'm with the other girls. I don't think I started to show until recently and even that depends on the clothes I wear. I did find that I was more comfy in mat pants around 10 weeks and definitely couldn't fit in my regular pants around 12 wks. HTH

Here's another question for all those working preggos........what do you take for lunch? I'm really struggling with not being able to take lunch meat for a sandwich. So I feel by mid-week like not eating what I took. I take things like veggies, yogurt, jello, crackers. But I can't find a "meal" type thing to take to help fill me up. Then I find for dinner I want to go out instead of cooking at home.
