Snowie-How did your meeting with the producers go? I just love that show! Is your doc the one that did the egg retrieval? I know I already asked you that, but I finally know their names now!

Val-how did your appt go yesterday? I hope it went well. Did your doc say anything about that test?

Bina-my doc wouldn't do the test on me because he said he wants me to take it easy and do "couch potato duty.

Thanks girls. Just getting around to head out the door. Steph you'll love this.......my dream right before I woke up was there were 6! It was a rather funny dream actually and the RE's office was chaotic and crazy. He just kept laughing at us. I guess that's better than finding out the worse. So taking it as a good sign that all will be alright.

Snowie-I was wondering about your meeting too. Update us when you get a chance.

I wil update later this after noon. DH wants to go to the casino!

Heidi - Can't wait to hear about your u/s....It will be amazing to see what's in there!!!

Well, I went for my OB appt. last night...and I mentioned to her that I had been having some pretty serious stomach cramps at times and some diarehea (sp?!). I told her that about 10+ years ago I was diagnosed with gallstones and was wondering being pregnant could give me a flare up or something. She said it was possible. She wrote me a script for an abdominal u/s.... gallbladder, liver & pancreas. So, I have that scheduled for Tues. @ 8:30 am..nice & early since I can't eat or drink anything after midnight (not like I'm ever up after 10:00 anymore!). Then, I'm just going to take the rest of the day off and do the glucose testing after I'm done with the u/s.
Oh, and she 'highly recommended' that I get one of those support-belts. I was telling her about how the tissue right inside my vagina (yes, I used that word & didn't even get embarrassed! I feel like a grown up!) felt swollen at times & she immediatley said it was round ligement stretching. She said it is more common in 2nd+ pregnancies because the ligaments are already stretched out & can't hold the uterus as high & it kind of sags a little & puts more pressure on everything below it...so I'm off to do some research on-line to see which one would be best.
DH is really gonna think I'm sexy now!!

Snowie - glad to see you...I was almost starting to get worried about you!

Amber - don't feel bad- I didn't get an u/s until the 20w one!

Jo- Sorry about the pain-in-the-butt!!! LOL! I got one with DD a few years ago & forgot about it til this preg.! Those flushable wet wipes have been a god-send when things flare-up - not as harsh as regular TP & since they're wet, they cool things off a little.

Jo - Sorry about the bottom troubles! I've had a small one for a few years now...I was rather shocked when I found it but it really hasn't bothered me. Stool softeners are your new best friend!!

Tulip - If you wouldn't mind posting what you find on the support belts I may be interested. My mid back hurts so dang bad. I'm trying to tough it out and think to my self its only 8 weeks but it IS 8 WEEKS!! I hate to spend the extra money on one and deliver in a few weeks. You are too funny with the "grown up" comment! I haven't gotten that brave just yet!!

Heidi - Hoping to hear your good news soon! The casino sounds like fun. We've wanted to go but they are always so smokey I can't stand to breathe in there! Have fun!

Snowie - I'm with you on the forgetfulness! It is rather annoying!

Hi to everyone else!!

Well, it is raining like crazy here. Very gloomy day! They came this AM to finish our hardwood floor so I had to pack up and move out for a few days. Not sure how long just yet but I have my OB appt today so I'll ask how long he thinks I should stay out. Hopefully everyone is having a great day!!

Heidi~ I can't wait to hear how many are in there!

Cole~ That's funny about the "grown-up" words you used. I still get embarrassed but try to sound like an adult when I talk about those things. Usually, around my house, we just call it a "who". LOL! Anyhow, I bought a maternity belt at Boscov's for $15. I couldn't justify spending $30+ on something that the midwife told me "might or might not help" ........It doesn't! So at least I am not out too much money. It actually made the pressure in my lower abdomen worse. I couldn't stand it for more than 30 minutes at a time and whenever I would sit down, the velcro would dig and scratch at my thighs. I hope you have better luck finding a comfortable one than I did. I have decided to just tough it out for the remaining 8 1/2 weeks. I was told the same thing though as you, it's because this is a second pregnancy, that there is more discomfort in the whole pelvic area. Glad I am not having a third!

Jo~ I feel your pain honey!!! I have a hemorrhoid also. Amazingly, I never got any until delivery with DS and I had constipation so bad that time. This time, I decided that after the first really bad incident with it, I was going to take colace every night before bed.....and I still got one! I'm sure it's because of all the pressure of little Brady resting comfortably IN my pelvis. I keep forgetting to ask the doctor's office if preparation-h is ok to use.

Snowie~ Have you decided whether or not you are going to do the show? That would so awesome to get a chance to educate the world about IF, but then again, I am not sure that I personally would be comfortable being on camera period. Good Luck in your decision.

Kristy~ Thanks for asking, my appointment on Tuesday went well, only gained 1 pound again. Oh boy, I'm up to 9 now. If I am lucky, I MIGHT be able to hit the 15 pound mark by the end. I am only concerned that it's enough extra weight to keep Brady healthy, other than that, I see it as less to lose afterwards. I had the CNS (certified nurse specialist) since I never met with her at 20 weeks. She actually had a few pamphlets ready for me and they answered my questions about the cramping and such. Apparently it's quite common for second pregnancies (darn these second children.....just kidding). I am supposed to drink 3 to 5 glasses of water in 10 to 15 minutes and lay on my left side to see if it subsides and if not, call after an hour. I told her about having the most horrific heartburn this time and that zantac, tums, and maalox are not helping. She told me to try pepcid for a few days and see if that helps more. So far, I have had less pain, but it's still there. For the time being, I will take any relief I can get. Now if only I could get rid of the every other day episodes of diarrhea! She said that I probably have a low level virus and should just take kaopectate or immodium. UMM, no thanks! I will only take any of those if I am desperate. I'd rather be about to "go" on a regular basis then be "stopped" up for the next 5 days and have troubles when I finally can go. I also got free stuff while I was there. YAY!! I got this cool toiletrie bag (for the life of me, I can't spell that word.) It had a small can of formula in it. I plan to use it when I pack my bag for the hospital. From what I can tell, it is a coordinating bag to go with the free diaper bag they give you. Well, I have certainly babbled on longer than I intended. Have a great day everyone! It's beautiful here. 70 degrees and sunny!!!! Too bad it's supposed to get cooler and rain again starting tomorrow.

We just had our hardwood floor redone in our bedroom and we were told to stay out for about 48 hours.

Chryistie - Thank you!!!

Val - You must be itty-bitty! I think I'm pushing the 25 mark...well, technically if you go from my prepregnancy weight it is more like 30 already! My first dr appt was at 10 weeks and I had already gained 5 pounds that we apparently are not counting! Digestional troubles are always so much fun, huh?!? I have plenty of my own too!

Well everything is GREAT. That was the most awesome experience ever. I think DH was pretty moved at seeing it on the screen and keeps looking at the u/s picture. We have 1 very healthy baby. Its already measuring at over 8 weeks. We saw the heartbeating, the cord and the start of it forming into a little person. It truly was amazing and didn't expect to see all that this early. Thanks again everyone for being such a great support system. I thought I was going to loose my mind the last couple of days waiting. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. He's released me to my OB and will be sending all my records. I'll call there tomorrow to go ahead and schedule my first appt. with her.

Steph-Now I want to hear your "math". The doctor got a big kick out of my dream. I met with him after the u/s and he came into the room with the nurse saying "well it's been awhile since we had triplets". I told him very funny but we know there's only 1. He's a corky older guy.

Jo-Hope your bottom feels better. I'm in the same boat that already have 1 and thankfully hasn't bothered me yet.

Heidi~ That is awesome that you have a very healthy bean....and only 1? Wow, you must have some superhero HCG! LOL! Congrats. So, if the babe is measuring over 8 weeks already, did they change your due date??

Val-I know that's my thought as well with the HCG. It was funny because the nurse doing the u/s kept looking just to be sure!

Val & Jen-He said at this point since most women deliver between 38-40 weeks he'd put me at between 11/6-11/20. He said once I get with my OB she'll narrow it down for me. I had calculated anywhere between 11/19-11/23. He thinks I O'd may be a day earlier too, which I know isn't much but also might explain some of the high HCG levels etc.

Oh Heidi ~ congrats hon. One beautiful STRONG serious hormone makin' bean there! My prediction? LOL! Well...I was figuring there were four. hahahahahahaha... I actually did do some backwards math a few weeks ago with the beta -- even though I knew that was playing-darts-in-the-dark science. *giggle* I'm happy for you.
