I'm around. Changed over to night shift to make some extra money so i'm usually asleep or at work. Haven't gone to the doc yet. For now I'm feeling ok so I'm gonna hold off until I go in on May 7th.
Tulip-Vincent is my husbands, well I guess mine too now, last names. I'm pretty over the morning sickness as long as i keep things on my stomach. No major food aversions. Occasionally I have something I MUST EAT. I really don't feel Like i'm eating much though. I eat a sandwich before work, some veggies and ranch on my first 15, some kinda meal on my hour, more veggies on last break and usually eggs when I get home. Maybe its because Its all spread out. Prolly TMI but the gas is HORRENDOUS. And constant. |

Cole-I'm here! I've got some relatives in town so we've been visiting!
Val-I'm sorry aboutt he scare today! Glad everything looks good though. . .do you use the hospital in Ephrata? I used to know my way around there with my eyes closed--my grandparents were frequent fliers there! Amber-glad you're feeling some better! I went through a week and a half of horrible gas too! Jen-how was dinner? OK, I'm beat! Talk to you ladies tomorrow!

Amber - glad to hear you're feeling better! Sounds like you have the eating/food thing under control. I was like that too - I never had an appetite for anything in particular in the first tri, but when something struck my fancy, I HAD TO HAVE IT!! That's how I ended up eating hot dogs, cheese fries, Italian beef sandwiches and just about anything else that was. not. healthy!!
Kristy - only a week & a half of gas??? You lucky girl! I still have it! It's not as bad as it was earlier in the preg., but it's worse than when I'm not preg.!! ![]() ![]() Jen - how exciting to see the baby transform from a blob to a recognizable form!! Glad to hear everything is progressing so well!! Thanks for all of the positive feed-back for the name. While it was actually DH's idea, he always hesitates when he tells someone what the name is.... I don't know if he is afraid they won't like it or if he isn't sure of it, or if it's his Italian mother's superstitions As soon as we agreed on it I was off & running to tell everyone! I just hated saying "the baby" or "he/she" or "his/her" room. Now, he has an identity! Plus, it helps DD to identify with the fact that it's an actual person in me! |

Boy there sure have been a lot of scares with everyone.
Val-Hope you are feeling better. Amber-Good to see you back on. Glad you're feeling better. Jen-Yeah to another good appt. Glad your little one is doing well. Jo-How many more days til you find out? I just spoke to the OB's office. Wanted to make sure they had my records and use it as an excuse to find out if they'll be doing an u/s. Apparently it will just be b/w, pap (which I just had in Jan so don't know if she'll do that again) and an exam, no u/s. I'm disappointed that I won't get to see the baby again yet. I was really hoping for some more reassurance. The receptionist did say they will schedule me for an u/s when I come in. |

Thanks all for thinking of me.
We went shopping this morning with our WIC stuff. I am muy impressed. We got like tons of stuff. I think like $60 worth, and thats forfeiting like 3 gallons of milk. We only got 2 out of five because its so late in the month and it would have gone bad. I think two is a lil much even. Im adjusting to nights nicely. I enjoy having a more active job. I'm not standing behind a counter anymore. I'm stocking shelves. Toothpaste, mouthwash(etc.), shampoo, styling products, hair color, soap, body wash, and hair accessories. Its really light lifting which is great, but It feels so good to move about all night. It's so funny because I do that all night then when I come home I get yelled at for carrying 2 bottles if juice. LOL. I cant wait to get back to school. I was gonna start this fall but again its been postponed. ![]() Enough bellyaching. Time to take a shower and get a nap. |

Amber - glad you are feeling better & not as sick.
Heidi - Bummer no u/s on Friday. Hopefully, they will schedule one for early next week. Kristy - Dinner was good. The company was great. Our good friend Damian & his gf made us chicken. It was good until DH mentioned that it was a little undercooked, which freaked me out. I think my piece was OK, and I feel fine, but not sure if I will eat chicken for a while. Tulip - Super excited! DH does a great impression of the baby floating & swimming around -it is pretty cute. Hi Jo- how much longer? So we thought that if everything was ok yesterday, we would tell everyone. But then the DR said he had seen a couple cases where everything was fine at 10 wks & then not ok at 12 wks. So, I think we will continue to keep it under wraps for a bit longer. Our closest friends & family already know, so that helps. Just a moment to be bummed....I found out yesterday that we will miss 2 weddings this fall b/c I won't be able to travel - one in San Diego & one on St. John, VI. Of course, I am much happier to be pg, but I would have loved to go to both weddings. Especially the island destination one - this is my first friend to have one.....oh, well. Here are the pics from yesterday of our little angel. http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w.../baby42208.jpg http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w...baby242208.jpg

Jen-I'm hoping too I don't have to wait to long. But I guess with the b/w and other tests she'll do I'll have some reassurance that way. Not sure why I want it again as I know everything is fine. As far as telling everyone....I'm going to spill the beans next week to my staff. I've had a couple of comments (which mind you I think are inappropriate) about "looking" pg. So I figure I can't hide it any longer awaiting for another u/s.

Good Morning! So glad you got to see your lil bean again Jen! How amazing to watch them transform into more of a human.
Kristy~ ACTUALLY....I used to work at Ephrata Community Hospital until 3 weeks before I had Dylan. I worked in the pharmacy, so I probably prepared all of your grandparents meds and iv's at some point. I don't go there for OB. I use Woman and Babies Hospital. Dylan has been in ECH twice since birth. He had RSV at 3 months and then he was running a super high fever last year. I love the Peds nurses there, but that might be because I knew them from working. Thanks for the concerns. They told me that more than likely, it's just RL stretching and "normal" cramping associated with getting bigger. They suggested wrapping an ACE bandage around my belly for support since I had no luck with the maternity belt. At least the ACE bandage can be tightened as needed. The maternity belt was way too tight around the front and the velcro dug into me. If the bandage doesn't relieve the discomfort by the time I go back on the 6th, they will prescribe PT. Heidi~ I agree with you that the "looking" pregnant comments are inappropriate. When I was voting yesterday, I had a complete stranger come up to me an ask "Are we expecting a baby or is that just a pillow under your shirt?" Now, I know I visibly AM pregnant, but come on, you don't know me, keep your comments to yourself. I actually felt like looking at her and with a straight face saying, "No, I am not pregnant....just gaining weight!" At least she didn't try to touch my belly. I get REALLY pissed about that! There are even times when I just don't want even family to rub my belly. Well, I am off to shower before I have to pick up Dylan from grandma's. Hello to everyone else and have a great day. It's supposed to be 75 and sunny today. YAY! We are going to the park to feed the duckies!

Good morning ladies -
Val - I think my pains are RL pain too since my cervix is still closed. I'm having some pretty painful cramping off and on. Who knows what is going on in there?? Jen - What beautiful pics!! I miss seeing my little bean so small like that! I'm glad to be as far along as I am but I still miss the thought of something so tiny inside of me. I waited to tell too. We lost a twin at 8 weeks so that kind of shut us down until we were a bit further along. I would have freaked out about undercooked chicken too! I'm sure you will be fine it is just maddening when it happens and you are trying to be so so careful. Amber - What is "WIC"? Is it food or baby gear? Glad you are feeling well. Heidi - I understand about wanting to be reassured. I've been labeled as a "worrysome patient" by my dr! It is kind of embarassing but I can't help the need to be reassured! The doppler would do you some good! $25.00/month is a steal when you are talking about your sanity!! Tulip - Love the name!! I'm still hanging in there. I've been leaving work at 3 instead of 5 to go home and rest. It is nice to have some time to myself. My dr. appt is tomorrow, I wonder what he will say after my visit to the OB. |

Jen - I love those pix of your little one! In the first one, it looks like he/she is saying "Hi Mom - everything's good in here!" & waving his/her arms around. Hard to imagine that before you knowit, that little baby is going to be getting big enough to punch you in the bladder with those tiny little arms! LOL
Amber - that's funny about DH yelling at you for carrying juice at home. Tell him that I still carry my 38 lb. daughter to her room for a time-out & that at least you're not doing that! Dana - good for you to be able to get outta work a little early! I would LOVE to be able to do that! Dana - Just to spite them, I'd wait to tell them even longer! LOL, but that's just the b**ch in me! Val - The nerve of some people! I would NEVER walk up to a complete stranger & make a comment like that! I always hesitate to even ask a stranger for directions if I'm lost...I can't imagine saying anything like that! I'm with ya on the belly-touching issue - I hate it when people touch mine...My boss patted my belly a couple of weeks ago & it was very very uncomfortable - like she really invaded my space. The only person who has a free pass to touch my belly is my daughter.... DH even waits to be "invited" by me. ![]() |

Dana-I know the doppler probably would do me some good. I think it's just because I'm having one of my days where "I don't feel pg" which has now made me anxious again. DH would probably think I was crazy if I told him I wanted to order one. I'll wait to see what the OB says on Friday and how long I have to wait. She's very nice and hopefully she'll put my mind at ease.
Jen-Love the pictures! Val-I can't believe that comment. I think I would have really need to bite my tongue. I'm also not looking forward to people trying to touch my belly. People can be so inappropriate! Cole-Forgot to tell you I love your name! I can't wait to get to that point and know the sex. |

Heidi- we find out on Friday!!!!!!! I could barely sleep last night b/c I kept thinking that today was going to be Friday. Ah well...
Jen- I bought mine from the following website: Hi Bebe BT-200 Fetal Doppler / Heart Rate Monitor - FREE Shipping! I use mine every night. It helps keep my sanity. I could hear from the time I got it which was at 15 weeks. Check them out! |

WIC stands for Woman, Infants and Children. It is for lower income families during pregnancy and up to the child being five years. It's sorta like food stamps but you get monthly checks for WIC approved items. Things like milk, eggs, beans, cheese, peanut butter, healthy cereals and TONS of juicy juice. The whole idea behind it is to guarantee at least decent nutrition to ppl who may not be able to afford the best food. Once the baby is born they add in formula unless your breastfeeding. If you breastfeed you actually are guaranteed like a year after the baby is born. Since DH got his job early last summer our income was still low enough to receive it. Next year probly not so much. But 6 46oz juices, 2 dozen eggs, 36oz cereal, 1lb beans, and 5 gallons of milk per month is an awesome help.
Meanwhile I can't wait to get my FIRST ultrasound. Count your blessings. I haven't seen a blob or heard a heartbeat yet. I just analyze EVERYTHING my body does to tell myself I'm pregnant. 2 more weeks! |
