Ahhh...okay, my internet is back.

I knew you'd have some more info for us, Bec -- no 'sorries' at all! This may be one of those cases where people end up with widely different personal experiences -- not unlike any of our other medical world experiences. I do NOT know the specific training required for any of these professions. I thought chiropractors were not MD's, so perhaps I was confused. You also have a GREAT chiro, from what we've talked about. I know of a few around here that 'crack your bones' and whisk you out the door, whereas my experience with CMPTs has been amazing and they've taught me so much. But none of any of them I'm familiar with have gotten into the holistic side of things with me or anyone I know.

That's what YOU'RE for, Bec. Good, Dana, that you're going for the massage. I knew Rebecca would be able to tell us it is fine for you to go, and a good idea. I'd kill for one right now...speaking of physical therapists, my neck and shoulders and back are KILLING me. Tension-based; I carry SO much tension in that area. Like I said before; I don't care WHAT you do, but do something, cause no one without injuries should be in that kind of pain, big belly or not.

My dad's dog died yesterday; I helped him finish burying her. He is completely torn up.

Tina-I can't wait to see Alexandra's pictures! Honestly it took me a long time to get organized after my daughter. . .I'm hoping things come faster this time around!

Steph-sorry about your dads dog.

Dana-Hope you are feeling better, resting and glad everything checked out at the doctors. As for teh carseat cover......if it came in a box I don't think it'd be necessary. Just my opinion.

My lower back has been hurting me off and on all weekend. I haven't really done anything so I don't know if it's part of things stretching and that's where I feel it. Did anyone else experience this? Just thought it was weird since I'm not far along, it's something I'd think would hurt later on as I'm carrying more weight.

Heidi~ My first actual pregnancy sympton was the INTENSE pain in my lower back, and I swear I was only 5 minutes pregnant when it started. So yes, that is definitely a pregnancy related. It did go away around 15 weeks, but of course came back towards the end. HTH!

Heidi - So glad you brought that up. I have had lower back pain since mid-last week. My SIL pre-warned me that in weeks 9-10, I would likely have likely cramps/stretching & she was right. I woke up in the middle of the night on Thursday with lower back cramps. I would have been more freaked out if she hadn't prepared me. Hope that helps!
BTW, when is your next appt?

Jenna-Thanks! I was hoping that was the case but figured I'd post just to be sure.

Jen-Well twin preggo (ha ha) mine woke me up yesterday morning when DH was getting ready for work. Then went away and came back last night. It again went away but is back now. Thanks also for the insight. Definitely makes me feel better. DH thought the same thing when I kept complaining. It's not too bad just really annoying and I don't want to really take anything at this point. I go Friday for my first appt. with the OB. I'm so hoping she does another u/s but at the very least lets me hear the heartbeat. Would like some more reassurance that things are good. I assume she'd do her own u/s but again don't really know what to expect for my first appt. How about you?

Heidi and Jen~ You can try either ice or a heating pad/hot water bottle for a short amount of time. Tylenol is also fine to take. Or, you can have DH try to rub the area for you. Hope you find some relief.

Well, I have officially started having the attack of the FAT BASTARD feet!! Darn it! I was really hoping that I would not get that this time. Although, if I remember correctly, it started right around this time with Dylan.

hey ladies- i havent been on this weekend. we have had a bit of a scare. on friday i had my last two week apt and i gained 6lbs in two weeks, this is after only gaining 12-13 for the whole time. so he gave me a script for blood work. i went to clinicals and felt i was a bit swollen but blamed it on being pg. then sat i blew up. might i add that it was 85 degrees here!! (im not complaining, i welcome warm weather in buffalo) so when i went into work that night the nurses and drs were concerned and watched my blood pressure through out the shift and did my blood work. my pressure got up to 158/86 and my labs were a bit abnormal (elevated WBS low H&H) so i am sick and slightly anemic. so i called my dr when i got out and he made me call off of work today and stay in bed with TEDs stockings on. Now i have to go back to him on tuesday. i taught dh how to check blood pressures so he has been watching me. it is better today (in the 130's) but still elevated for me. I run in the low 100's. so i am just a bit worried but trying not to be, I know i am not spilling protein in my urine and thats the main part of PIH so i just need to rest and relax for now. Just thought id fill you in. I get all the medical support from work (lol) and i try not to worry around dh cause he is the biggest worry wort and he knows if im worried its something because i am the calm one (remember my dog stories, lol) so i just needed to vent my worries to someone. wow im rambling now. i have to get my feet up and study so i will try and check in tomorrow.

Crystal - Woha! Sorry about the scare! I hope you are doing ok now and keeping tabs on that b/p! That is very scary! Thankfully you are close enough now if you had to deliver everything would be ok! Get lots of rest and drink your water! Update us when you can!

Val - Sorry about the fat feet! That doesn't sound like any fun. I love that you call them "Fat Bastard Feet"~

Jen & Heidi - I hope your back pains go away soon! I don't remember that side effect.

Heidi - Mine have been coming & going too. Having some right now actually. They are not bad enough for me to take anything, but they still kind of stress me out. thats great you go back Friday - hopefully she will want to check tings out for herself & you'll get to see your little bean again. You still feeling good otherwise? My skin has started to break out a little - going to get a facial tomorrow to treat myself.

I go back to the Dr in SA tomorrow. I have two more appts (including tomorrow) down there & then I have my first OB appt on 5/20. Not sure why they monitor IVF patients more closely, but I don't mind b/c I'm sure I will have another u/s. Hopefully everything looks good & I will have more pics to post.

Crystal - Glad everything is ok. I know that had to be stressful.

Val - Sorry about the fat feet. I am worried about that too - I love my shoes!

Jenna - Thanks!

DH & I had a good weekend, but I am still pooped. We got up early on Sat & landscaped the front yard. I think it looks great now, but I am super tired from the manual labor & my hamstrings are so sore I am walking funny. then we had to drive to SA to my father in law's for a bbq for one of his co-workers....lots of 60+ yr olds drinking lots of beer. Hopefully, I can catch up on my rest tonight!

Crystal-Wow sounds like a very scary weekend. Hope you are getting your rest and feeling better!

Jen-Overall for the last week I've felt pretty good. The quesy stomach went away and healthier foods have been tasting better! Still tired though and have to take a nap. I have had some minor breakouts that seem to clear up and not be too noticeable. I hope the OB checks me out too. The other office she was at only had the ability to do u/s on Mondays and Wednesdays. I'm hoping the new place she's at has the ability all the time. I assume they do as I think most women at this point would have one and they didn't tell me a specific day I had to come in when I scheduled.

Crystal-I'm sorry about the scare. I'm glad your bp is going down and you're not spilling protein. Those are always good signs. Take it easy!
