Tricia-I cna't believe Thursday is your big day.

Jo-How fun to feel movement. I can't wait for that. Right now I'm still in the stage of not really feeling pg except for being tired and some nauseous feelings now and again.

Jen-How are you feeling?

Amber-My own mother drives me insane. I feel like it's planning my wedding all over again. She constantly emailing and calling me with her input on what we need. I'm trying to remember it's all because she's excited and at the end of the day it's our baby and we can do what we want. Hang in there.

Tricia - Wow, only 2 days to go!

Snowie - I think that is really exciting. As long as they are clear on the process & how much access they expect, if you are comfortable, then go for it! It wuld be so cool to be able to share your success story with so many women. If this board can help so many of us with IF, just think how many other women could benefit from the show.

Heidi - I woke up about midnight last night with really bad cramps. It really freaked us out. They felt like PMS cramps, but I also have been having some constipation issues. I was able to fall back asleep about an hour later, but didn't sleep well. No spotting or anything so who knows. Otherwise, I feel great.
How are you feeling? Any new symptoms?

Amber - I had a great talk with my mom & we set the boundaries early. Now all she is really doing is calling with names she likes (so far I haven;t liked any) You might talk to DH & then talking to her together...better to do it now then later when the hormones are raging.

Kristy - Feel better!

Jen-No new symptoms here. I think that's why I'm a little freaked about it but trying to remember what we talked about in the last couple of weeks that it's ok not to. I just really want that damn u/s already to confirm a heartbeat and then I feel like I can relax a little more. Plus I really want to tell some more of our friends but wanted to wait for the u/s. I like your advice about setting boundries with your mom. I think I might need to do that with my mom. But since they live a couple of hours away I'd rather wait and do it in person not over the phone. I will be seeing her the end of the month so may be we can have a little chat. Hope there are no more issues with your cramps and it was just associated with the constipation issues.

Just got a text from Tricia! She went into LABOR last night and is currently dilated to a 5!!! Yeah, Tricia for not making us wait until Thursday!! Will update when I get more info.

Hi girls,
I am feeling almost human again! Thanks for all the well wishes.

For all that haven't registered yet please add furniture fasteners to your registry. A little boy on another board that some of us frequent has died when his dresser fell over on him. Please keep little Corey and his family in your prayers and bolt down all of your furniture before you need to. His mom wants his message passed on so that his passing might not be in vain. Vicki (momof3) has more information (I think) if you would like.

Hello mommies-to be! I know that I'm not alone in feeling tremendous fear about making my first post on this side. But I figure since I'm sure that I will have tons of questions and you ladies are the best source for answers, I'd better suck it up so here I am.

My first question is when to tell everyone? DH wants to wait awhile which I've agreed to but we haven't come to a consensus on how long. I really want to tell our parents on Mother's Day but thats only a little over a month from now so I don't know if we'll have hit any milestones by then. My other problem is that my closest friends know that we've been TTC so it will be really hard not to let them know since its something we talk about all the time.

Congrats Irene!! We told our close friends and family at about 7w after we saw the h/b via u/s. We told everyone else at around 12 weeks. I was very scared to tell too.

Irene - First - CONGRATS!!
Second - I have NO self controll & told all of my family & friends the day I got my BFPs!...I waited to tell everyone at work until I was about 7-8 weeks along (I couldn't wait any longer)....I know several women who didn't say anything until they hit the 2nd tri....it's whatever you feel comfortable with!
My reasoning was that if (God-Forbid!!) something did happen, I would have needed/wanted the support of my family.
Our immediate family knew and a couple of very close friends knew we were TTC....but we had made it very clear when we were TTC the first time I was pg that we would tell everyone when we were - and NOT to ask any questions!...so it was almost like a surprise to everyone!
(I think Mother's Day would be perfect! You'll be close to the end of the first tri...but that's coming from the girl who told everyone at 5 weeks!)

Irene- I had a few close friends who knew we were TTC. I told them bc I was so excited and had to tell SOMEONE. DH wanted to tell our parents in person and together so that took awhile as his live out of town. I was 9 weeks when we told them and then the rest of our families that same night!

Irene- YEAH!!!! Welcome to the preggo side! It's so good to see some familiar faces. I got my BFP on December 23rd and we made a huge deal of it on Christmas day. Heehee, I only waited two days to blab! I told friends @7 weeks and everyone else after hearing the heartbeat. It's hard when you find out so early. You have a longer wait until the 1st trimester is over. I could NEVER have waited that long!
