I finally got in touch with my doctor today about my anemia. She's faxing the info to my OB, but she said his father just died, so he may not be back in his office for a while. I had the Holter monitor Monday, but won't hear back for a week, and I go for the echocardiogram Monday. I'm still having the arrhythmia.

I bought a couple little girl outfits yesterday (DS picked them).

Cristina - We had a nice time. It was too cold for my tastes, though. Also, I didn't sleep well at all so I didn't have any energy to do anything. It was nice just having Dh all to myself for a few days. We did a lot of watching Liam thumping around in my belly. I forgot how different it is up there compared to Southern California. As we were driving through L.A. on our way home, I started to cry and told Dh "I want to go back to Carmel" when I saw all the grafitti everywhere. Once we got home and got everything put away, I started to feel a little better - well until my nosed stuffed up. I almost regret going on vacation. Now I hate where we live even more than ever.

Wendy - It is nice to get out of town. Too bad you couldn't sleep. I agree I love it when I get a weekend all to myself with DH (with no computer).

So....
80% effaced and 2 cm dilated!!!DH brought the videocamera to get one video of an appointment - little did I know he was going to strip my membranes today! I think my face was purple for a few minutes because it was so uncomfortable, and I was so caught off guard. That may be a video I have to edit

He said he will induce Monday morning if I don't go naturally, although he did say that because he stripped my membranes and where I am at now, there is a good chance I could go into labor in the next 12 hours!!! Thanks for all your support and encouragement ladies! I think it helped!

Laura - We brought my laptop, but there was terrible wireless reception, so it was too frustrating for me to try to use it. Dh was a little more patient than me and managed to check the news a little until I yelled at him for it.

Ok, so it's official. We're TEAM PINK! Yup, we're having a girl. We're so excited!!

Ok, so I have a friend that is 28 weeks pregnant that REALLY pissed me off today. She wanted me to call her and tell her what we were having when we found out. She's having a girl, but she wanted a boy. So I called her to tell her and her response was total silence, then she said to her husband "everyone is copying me. I get pregnant so Jenna gets pregnant, now I'm having a girl and she's having one, too." As if we have any choice in the gender. And seriously, if I were the kind of person to base major life decisions off of what my friends do I would think my life was really messed up. That just really ticked me off.

Sarah~ I can see your point about her comment being funny. It's true. She's one of those people who has to have all of the attention and have things be about her, so it really didn't suprise me. And it's not that she's not happy, I think she is, I think it just makes her feel important or something to feel like someone was "copying" her or doing something just because she was. It's actually a very immature attitude. I should just get over it.

Jenna- Congrats on your little girl!!!! Yay, I know you're excited!!! And BTW, my brotherinlaw acted that way kinda when we told him we were having a boy. He has 2 girls and he always wanted a boy. Me and dh thought like you did, it's not like we pick the gender of the baby!!! He got over it and finally started talking to us about Lawson. Some people are just rude sometimes!! They'll just get over it!!
