I had heard about this on a teaser from the news last night...I didn't realize she was only about 32 weeks. This is AMAZING that the baby is doing so well. AMAZING!

I'm worried about the baby having brain damage. They didn't say how long it hadn't been breathing. I hope the baby is okay. And I don't know how that mom could have given birth, not know it, and then flush the toilet 3 times and still not know there was a baby in there!
 What a liar. And then she didn't have the decency to rescue the baby from the toilet (if in fact it was true that she didn't know she was pg)? I don't believe her story for one second.Last edited by LiamsMom : 08-30-2007 at 07:05 PM.

We had a lady give birth on the toilet at the hospital a few weeks ago. She felt like she had to poop and was only 4 cm dilated a few minutes before she got up. Wasn't my patient but I went to help. Yesterday a lady arrived thinking she might be in labor and was 9 cm dilated and I delivered her baby within 15 minutes after she got there with only one glove on. It could happen but not likely. I am glad the baby lived but I am sure it will have some type of brain damage. So sad.
