Britney Spears is making more news – with a trip to her local drug store.

The troubled pop star and mother of two, was photographed shopping for a pregnancy test Tuesday at a local Rite Aid store in Studio City, Calif.

Photos show Spears and her new beau, 35-year-old photographer Adnan Ghalib, at the store together, and Spears scanning the shelves of pregnancy tests. (The photos were released by Ghalib's own photo agency, FinalPixx.)

All told, it's been another week full of rumors involving Spears, who recently lost visitation rights with her two children, Jayden, 1, and Preston, 2, after being hospitalized.

As for a report that Spears had written a suicide note on the night of her meltdown, "There was no suicide note, and it's completely untrue that she tried to commit suicide," her longtime friend Sam Lutfi tells PEOPLE. "She is not suicidal."

Additionally a Spears family friend tells PEOPLE, "She's going through a lot right now. Having her children taken away, which she really didn't expect and all this attention around her, it really takes a toll. There's no truth to her being suicidal. She has problems that she needs to address and that's it. She'll pull through this. She just needs some time and space."

That girl is a train wreck.

Want to know what I truly think? I’ve never given this opinion to anyone, but I’ve had it for a VERY long time, since before they even split up. I think that she found a guy she liked, maybe even loved, not anyone in a position of power like she was, because she wanted a few kids. I am not judging, by any means. She said years ago she wanted to be a young mom. I think she found a guy, married him (she was pg first before they got married, right?), had a few babies, and wasn’t anticipating the mental/emotional/psychological strain of it all, and it all began to unravel. I don’t think she was particularly in ‘til death do us part’ mode, I think she wanted kids. And got them. Quickly. And she never thought in a million years that there would be any threat of loosing them. She never thought ever would she loose a custody fight EVER, since the father was basically a ‘nobody’ – back in the beginning, in her head. And when it all started to unravel, a mistake here or there, the tabloid stuff, and she started to psychologically fall apart from there, and totally spiraled out. And probably sits there wondering how her life ended up where it is, when all she wanted was a couple of kids.

And, that, friends, is what I think happened here. Not that I ever thought she was the most sophisticated gal in the world, but she seemed like a nice kid back in the day, you know?

According to a celeb gossip community I'm apart of, its just a publicity stunt. A close friend of hers said shes just doing it to piss people off and to basically just get more attention to herself.

Its no secret that this new guy shes been around is attempting to collect money by being with her. Getting pictures like these and being sold by his own photo agency is easy money for him. Everyone knows it but either Britney decides to turn the other cheek or she just doesn't realize it, I don't know how she possibly could do either. Shes so stupid not to mention insane.. but we all knew that already.
