Awww, that is so sad. I can't believe they stated "there is a possibility that the child was left accidentally" of course the mother didn't do it on purpose.

Do you think she forgot to drop her off at the babysitter and didn't realize she was still in the car? I could see that happening. This morning I almost turned to go to my school instead of continuing to MIL's. I would have notice Hannah when I went to get my stuff out the car.

Kelly, I have done that except I drove all the way to the hospital and realized I hadn't dropped Sydney off at my mom's house. It scared me to death because a few more minutes and I would have been in the parking lot and she was sound asleep so I wouldn't have noticed Now I am super paranoid about it.

This happened locally as well.

Both of the parents worked at a university here, they would take turns taking the baby to the day care.

And one day one of them forgot the other parent didn't take the baby.

This was one of my clients and they had shut down one of the buildings at the school for the investigation. My client worked with the Dad.

The saddest part is the baby was conceived after 3 years via invitro.

Amber - he was 10 months old. He was the only survivor out of 14 eggs. Since his death the couple has had 3 more children. a set of twins and a little boy.

Here is a link to Mikey's story http://www.4rkidssake.org/mikeysstory.htm

I wasn't even TTC at the time and Jonathan was about 6, I remember it really affecting me. From what I knew from my client he adored his little boy. And it was just a mistake.

Betsy~ That just breaks my heart. In the story it talked about putting your purse in the back seat or the diaper bag in the front seat as a reminder. Such a good idea & I will be doing that starting tomorrow. Thanks for sharing the link.
