Recall Target
(Washington-AP) January 18, 2007 - Consumers are being alerted to some new product recalls.
Retailer Target and the Consumer Product Safety Commission are voluntarily recalling Target's plush baby rattles and photo frame ornaments.
The company says small parts of the rattles and frame ornaments could break off and cause a choking hazard. Also, the rattles plastic ring can break and expose sharp points.
Target has received eleven reports of parts of the toys breaking or detaching, but no injuries have been reported.
In a separate announcement, the CPSC and Graco Children's Products unveiled a voluntary recall to repair the Contempo line of highchairs, after a child was injured when a highchair collapsed.
The highchair can collapse if it is not fully opened and locked into place from the storage position. Graco has received 18 reports of highchairs collapsing and one report of an 18-month-old boy who received a bruise on his foot when his chair collapsed.
