Vicki - I know we wont get the news coverage here, so Im planning on watching it online after ALyssa appt today.

No problem! We need to spread the word and get all "unanchored" furniture anchored to keep our little ones safe. Corey's death will save many lives ahead.

He was 2 months older than Alyssa, I just can't bear it!

I know how you feel. I have already contacted 2 large mother's groups, my faith groups and the school pto's about doing a talk about this. I want to also send out information with every student before the end of school. The thought of all these toddlers and young children being at home more, just increases the chances of accidents. It is heartwrenching. I had a long phone conversation last night around midnight with a fellow GF/JJP friend. It was hard, but it helped us both so much to talk about it all.

Also, thank you so much for making that wonderful collage. It was incredibly thoughtful, I'm sure Gail will treasure it always.

Vicki - It was the least I could do for Gail. She also seen and commented back to me on the JJP board.

Im glad you and the other jjp/gf member got a chance to talk to release some of the pain.

Are you going to the funeral tomorrow? I want to try to find a eeorye(sp?) balloon to release tomorrow for Corey.

yes, I am going tomorrow as long as my babysitter comes through. She is suppost to be coming, but I'm waiting to hear back from her. I think we have all been effected by this. Also, if for some reason I don't make it to the funeral, I am going to drop off a bunch of balloons at the local hospital where they brought Corey. We will as a family release them together tomorrow night also.

Vicki - Hope the babysitter comes through for you. That is so sweet to take the balloons to the Hospital for other kids. Its going to be amazing on GF's & JJP to see the pictures everyone takes when they release their balloons for Corey.

It was so scary seeing the demonstration of how a dresser could tip, just too heartbreaking knowing that is what happened to Corey . Im so glad that it's out in the news now and hopefully people will start to think about these things more and install the anchors to all heavy furniture and tv's. Gail was so strong too!! Im just heartbroken for her family.

Are there any suggestions on how to anchor a tv?

tammy-I'm in tears my babysitter can't do it, she could not find a replacement for her at work tomorrow morning.I feel like I'm letting the whole website down. There were only 2 of us going. I contacted the other member to see if she was still going to go. I just can't take my kids with me to that. I'm gonna go to the Hershey Children's hospital, it is where Briana had her last surgery and where her heart specialist is. We will give out the balloons there. I'm just heartbroken about it. Thanks for listening to my vent.

As far as tv's. These work well. Ours is actually bolted down to our cabinet. It is a flat screen, so we have a mounts system. But I have used these before. Hope that helps.

As for me I didnt find a eeyore ballon so back to the drawing board tomorrow. If not Im sure I can think of something special for Alyssa and I do do for him!

thanks for posting those safety staps for the tv's, they look like they work good without wrecking your tv! Thanks again.

We have rain today so the balloons are not going to work at the moment. I heard people did/are doing bubbles instead. We might be able to make that work. But I really wanted to do the balloon. I might just if the weather clears up even if its this weekend. MY MIL printed out the tag I made below to attach to Coreys balloon.

May you rest in peace sweet Corey.

I'm done loading pictures of our balloon release now. It was raining so hard and then at 1:15 it started to clear. So we did them then. I decided to do them then, since no one had any posted. I wanted to post something to share with everyone. I will edit my post soon and share about this morning also.

Vicki - That is wonderful! We tried about an hour ago to release it but not windy enough still but the rain did stop. I also have a large version of the tag on my front door. I couldnt find the balloon I wanted so I just used what I had a home and attached the tag I made in memory of Corey.

tammy-Any balloon would do wonderful, it is about the thought. Here is my pictures.

you can't see them in this picture, but we could just barely make them out. They soared over our valley. Nate keep saying we love you Corey, we love you, fly high, fly high. He went on for about 3 or 4 minutes saying it.
