I think I have told this story but i am named after my Dad . His name is Al so I am Alkia. pronounced (Al-Key-Uh) emphasis on the "Key"

Alot of people pronounce it alkee-yuh they run together the Al and the key

But it's all separate (for lack of better words) Al (like al Bundy) Key (as in lock and Key) uh (as in the way most female names end)

Wow, I hadn't read those posts before. It is so interesting how we all got our names. I am too embarrassed to tell you all what my whole name is. I kid around with people when they find out what it is & tell them my parents smoked way too much weed.

My name is Jessica Lee....Dad toally picked it out of thin air.... that is how my Dad makes most of his decisions .

Mom had picked out a list of first names and I guess he didn't like any of them, I could've been a:

Valerie
Elizabeth
Veronica
or
Rebecca

My grandpa, who was THE dentist in our small town announced it wrong to everyone he saw as Jessica Sue....my aunt and my cousin both had the middle name Sue, he still calls me that occasionally. Grandpas! they will do as they please!

If I had been a boy I would've been Robert John Krenz III .....aka "Trip" for triple...my lucky little brother got stuck with that moniker, he hated it as a kid, tried to get his teachers and friends to call him " Bob " at age 7 !

My mom got my middle name Paige, from a little girl she use to babysit. She said that she was really cute & swore that she would name her little girl Paige. So she used that as my middle name. Crystal- she just said she liked it! Olivia was another choice that my parents had but they said that I came out looking like a "Crystal" so that was the decision!

I got Marissa - originally- from "The OC"- and then when I looked it up on the net & it meant "of the sea" I had to keep it! As often as Kelly & I are at the ocean! The ocean is very important to me- it has always been a big part of my life so - I think it is perfect. And I chose to keep Paige around & hopefully she will pass it on to her daughter & so on! It doesn't hurt to try huh?

So that is my story on names!

The guilt! Please don't make fun of me. My name is luvaleena pronounced love-uh-lee-nuh. My dad made it up (he must of been high). My dad & grandpa still call me luve. I have been tortured & teased my whole life because of this name. Now people are nicer about it. They will say how do you pronounce your name. . . wow, that is really different or I have never heard that before.
