Was it family? Was it made up?
My name is Meredith Marie Kathleen Meredith = named after Meredith Baxter (actress from "Family Ties") because my dad had a crush on her Marie = named after Marie Osmond (the singer) because my dad had a crush on her Kathleen = name after my great-grandmother, because my mom didn't want me only named after celebrities my dad had crushes on |

Sara Jo
Sara- From I don't know where... They just pulled it out of their butts... Jo- The first name of my mom's best friend. I'm ultimately happy with my name, since they thought I was going to be a boy until I popped out and surprised them. I was supposed to be Dusty Jo(e) in that case.. |

Lisa Gaye (Yes my middle name gets laughed at a lot)
Lisa - Mama was watching Beat The Clock and loved the contestant on the show, her name was Lisa. When I was born the nurse told Mama, she didn't know if they had a name picked out, but if they didn't I looked like a Lisa. So since Mama already was thinking that, Daddy and her said that is what it will be. Gaye - is from her name Gaynell.

I was going to be named Natalie, but my mom was told by a few friends that they knew a Natalie that was a "whore" lol, so my mom changed her mind. Then both my parents decided on Alejandra. When the nurse, or whoever, wrote my name on the certificate, she spelled my name with an X. So my name is Alexandra. My dad was pissed, and wanted the X to be changed to a J, but my mom liked the way the X looked better.
Alex

My ex wanted to name my son after Walter Payton. NOT! So my ex's next fav. sports player was Ryne Sandberg. I like Ryne, not crazy about the spelling. I did some research and my husband's family is Irish with an Irish last name. The Irish spelling for Ryan is RYNE so I gave in.

My mother told me that she wanted to name me Jennifer, but a neighbor across the street had a baby and named her that, so they had to choose a different name. They actually didn't have any other name picked out for a girl, so one of the nurses suggested my name - and helped out with my middle name, too. If I was a boy, I would have been Jayson because everyone called my dad Jay - even though his name is John (after his father). Interestingly enough, my dad told me a few years back that he has always hated that family members called him Jay. He always introduces himself as John. My mother told me that my dad said the day I was born, "G*d d*mnit, woman, you can't even have a kid right!"

My mom wanted to name me Cheyanne, but too many people told her it was an ugly name. So she ended up with Sarah (which she swears NO ONE was using that name until after I was born. Of couse, I know a lot of Sarah's who are older than me so I know that she is wrong!)
My middle name is Jennifer. She told me she was going to make it Jennifern b/c Fern was my grandma's name, but for some reason she didn't. So basically I ended up with the all-american girl's name: Sarah Jennifer (I am pretty sure those were the two most popular names in the early 80's.) If I were a boy I was going to be Simon. When I HATED that name, so I was always thankful I came out a girl!
