I always thought I would name a son after my DH, and had our DD been a boy, they would share the same name, even though my DH is not all that happy about it. It is a long standing family tradition to pass on the father's name in my family. But, if we have a boy this time, he likely will only get my DH's name for a middle name if that. I guess time changes things.

I like the name Noah for a boy--strong, fatihful guy, but my DH thinks the name is kind of wussy. For a girl, I like Claire, from a poem called "Lady Claire", but DH hates it. So, back to the drawing board.

Meagan - I remember one of the names you had for a girl was Naya, is it a South American name? Is there any history attached to it? I think its lovely.

Kristy I love that name also but DH says there was a cheesy show in the 90's where the lead charachter had that name so now we cant use it. He has a lot of wierd name association things like that.

i've had the girl name picked for quite some time:

Abigail Michelle (Michelle after my mom)

and if it's a boy:

Joseph Donald or Joseph Charles (Joseph is after my grandpa that passed away 3 1/2 yrs ago, and Donald/Charles are after my DH's father)

Joseph isn't my fav name in the world..but my grandpa was the coolest, kindest, wonderful man and I miss him tons.

I love the name Noah it's adorable. I have a nephew named Parker and I love that name as well. The names you all chose are great. If I get my BFP I hope to name my child Vaughn Leigh no matter boy or girl, but we will have to see what the better half says about that. Other names I like are:

Allen
Carlin
Owen
Ethan
Jillian
Lucian
Aryn (R-IN)

I old friend of mine has a son named Asa and I think that name is great too!

I have kinda got stuck in a rut with the names ending with N. We have Raven, Donovan & Gwendolyn already and my oldest Christopher who is my stepson feels kinda left out of the loop with the N thing.

Lisa

Hey all -
Believe it or not DH and I actually agree on the names...

Colin David (David is DH - he does not want a junior)
Sarah Catherine (Catherine is both of our grandmother's name - spelled the same way too! I would even consider Catherine for 1st name too)

Not that I should even be in this forum yet... we're still TTC (and have only BEEN trying for, like, a couple weeks)!!

But still... I've had names picked out since before I even met my husband. I KNOW I'm not alone in that!

Girls:

Ember Simone
Bailey Olivia

For boys, I let my guy pick... since he's really set on...

Thaddeus James (after both his grandfathers)
BUT... if he's going to pick both of his, I should be able to do a boy's combo out of both of mine! They're Sidney and Frank though... so... I'm not sure... If I had to combine them into something like Sidfranco that'd be kind of cool! Very italian-sounding though, which neither one of us IS. DH does love his pizza though!

But girls... I've always known the girls: Ember Simone and Bailey Olivia.
