I love most all the traditional boys names: David, Michael, Matthew, Stephen.

Jacob is a great name.

A neighbor of mine has a set of b/g twins. Jaycob and Jaycee. I really don't prefer those spellings.

I know what you mean. People are so bent on trying to have unique names for their children. I think it is one thing to be creative and come up with a good name that everyone will 'ooh and aww' about, but it is another to take a popular name and change the spelling.

They are setting their kids up for a life of trauma...lol.

About 1 in every 100 people can actual spell my name correctly, it is such a pain.

People, think what you are doing to those poor kids!......lol.

I do like the traditional names however, just so many use them. When I was in high school I had 5 different Jason's in the same class.....it was so confusing

I like to go with uncommon, but not unheard of. With my two children, I decided on Dominic and Vanessa. I didn't realize how common they were at the time, they're generally only in the 30's as far as Top 100 lists go.

Unfortunately, this time I have my heart set on extremely common names.
For a son, I like Adam. For a daughter, I have selected Lauren.

I recently told a woman that had also worried about the popularity of a name she had choosen: If it seems popular, it's most likely because it's a great name and a lot of other people agree.

Default names......

Coming up with names is hard. We wanted a name for a daughter that people heard of, but was not "overused". Tatum Amelia is her name, and we love it!

Tatum is a great name! I went to school with a girl named Tatum. She had a twin sister named Taren. I loved their names.

I love to browse through baby names, but I dont have a set name in mind yet for my next baby. I named my little girl Laycee Elise and my lil boy Bryce Daniel, my step daughters name is a classic Heather Marie... she hates her name because in school shes Heather #8 because there are so many other Heathers. Names I like include: Jaydon Danielle, Darwynn Annalise, and Mahalia Grace for girls names. For boys I like Elijah Joel and Ryley David. Though I am still looking for better names for a boy just in case I change my mind. God Bless. Tracie

Those are some cute names. i really like Bryce for a boy. That is funny about the Heather's. There were like 4-5 I grew up with. I am kinda amazed that name is still popular.

Default Our Baby Names

We have had names picked out for a long time. My 2nd miscarriage I was 20 weeks and we were told we had to picka name for the death certificate, we chose Jordan Reese because it could go for a boy or a girl since we did =n't know the gender. Our little boy we adopted is Zachary Braeden (we changed it from his Russian name). We had a girls name picked out, Kennedy Marie, but now are thinking of reconsidering that one. The other names we like for boys are Jackson Cooper, Tucker, and Landon. No other girl name ideas though. There are a couple other names that my hubby likes that I immediately said NO to. When the time comes I will need ideas.
