sorry, i dont know how to do the quote thing...
i actually saw the name on a car.license plate....for a long time i couldnt find any information on it, then i found it on some name website...i think it means taylor. not too exciting, but i love the name. Except you cant find pencils with that name and apparently when you are in the first grade that is very important.

Babybemine that is so cute about the pencils. I didn't know that was a big deal for kids. You should be able to order them online, though. You'll have all the pencils you ever need. That's funny you got the name off of a license plate. I hope no one names their kid what my license plate says.

I found a good site to get your pencils at a good price and not have to buy a lifetime supply either: http://www.forteachersonly.com/stati...lsidebar&pos=5

Crystal- I really like Gavin. I would use it myself, but it was one of my brother's HS friends and I would never hear the end of it if I used it My friend was going to use Hayden, then in the delivery room they quickly decided to go with Hunter. (I like Hayden better though). I kow a Brenden as well, so I like them all!!

As for girls, of course I like Marissa....so close to mine I also like Paige. Good luck deciding.

OK- so my girls name is definately Marissa Paige Lewis but Kelly doesn't like the boys names that I had picked....
He said Brenden sounded like Brenda, Gavin reminds him of Billy Madison, Brayden sounds like Braiding hair, Hayden sounds like Hate- UGH- I'm begining to wonder if we'll ever agree on a boys name! He offered "MARLIN!" What????? I said why don't we just name him "Swordfish!" Whatever! He is soooooo silly sometimes!

What to do, what to do.....

Crystal-I'm also wondering if DH and i will ever agree on names!!! He wants Roland for a boy and I absolutely hate it. I really like Brennan for a boy. I like your choice of Gavin, it is more popular in England than in the US. Olivia is a super popular name right now so keep that in mind. I like Marissa! I have a friend who is Merissa. For a girl, I like the name Natalia. I also like Cassidy and Cameran, but I don't think DH likes those. We may just wait until we find out the gender before getting really serious about names.

Crystal-

I just had to post and tell you that your DH sounds just like mine!! He is always finding a way to turn a name into what the other kids at school will call them... I think it will be impossible for us to pick a boys name, too.

I am jumping the gun a bit...I technically should not be even looking in these pg areas ( ), but names fascinate me. One of my close friends has a brand new grandbaby named Lilly. Old fashioned, but it's kind of grown on me...Oh well, I'll worry about that later. Just wanted to tell you that you made me LOL with DH's pickiness!!

Thanks girls! Hopefully we will be able to agree on something! We won't really finalize anything until the baby is born anyway- sometimes you have to look at their little face to make sure the name fits! Ya know? Or maybe I'm just weird! But I won't be set on anything until then-

..................well except for my girls name b/c I just love it sooooo much!

Crystal - I love the girls name. Out of the boys names, I liked Gavin the best and Hayden the least.

Well at this point I think I have a Jase Michael or Rhylee Jo Walker.

Crystal,
I like the girl's name you picked out, too. I'd have to agree with your DH on the boy's names, though. Even though they are all fine names, I would be worried about how the other kids could tease them, too. Do kids still do that? Of course, I'm sure if they can't tease them about a name, then they will find something else. I think you've got lots of time to decide on a boy's name and who knows, maybe you won't even need it. I really like the girl's name! It's very cute. I really never liked the name Paige until I heard you say it - and it really goes well with Marissa.

Thanks for the advice ladies!!!

Wendy- Yeah- Paige is my middle name & I always thought (growing up) that it sounded like a country hick name, but I have actually grown quite fond of it now! And who knows maybe she'll like it enough to pass it down.

IF IT'S A GIRL There I go jumping the gun again!
