trying ivf for the 2nd time
Hi everyone. Tomorrow I have an appt. w/ my ivf doctor to talk about my 2nd ivf attempt. We had 2 embrios transferred but no success. Our fertility issues are due to a prostate cancer battle my husband beat. We froze sperm ahead of time so now we're in the midst of it all. I felt completely devastated after our ivf didn't take because technically, I'm fine(fertility wise.) So one would think it would happen 1st time around. Boy were we shocked! This is definetly the most "out of my control" frustrating experience we've gone thru. Thanks for listening

iwannababy2, I will be praying your 2nd attempt works. I am just embarking on the ivf process, I was going to start next cycle but now my RE is saying that b/c of a hydro my chances of success drop 30% so tomorrow I am going to talk to him about possible surgery to remove the hydro before ivf. My infertility issues stem from previous surgery that has caused a lot of scarring of the tubes and in turn hydro which is when tubes get blocked but liquid in them can be toxic to embies. Tomorrow I will find out if we will progress w/ 1st round of ivf or do the surgery...
