Default Thanksgiving Plans

So, just thought I'd toss this out there. What plans do you girls have for Thanksgiving (besides decorating for Christmas )??

Dh wants to stay home and deep fry a turkey . I told him that I want to go to his mom's house. We haven't been there since she moved into her new bungalo in June. I just don't think Thanksgiving would the the same without spending it with some other members of our family.

You girls know I plan to decorate for Christmas AS SOON AS POSSIBLE... BUT, I am hoping to be in the bed imagining all of my little embryos making themselves strong and getting ready to be transferred!

However, we do have plans to cook at my house Thanksgiving Day with my parents and then take the kids to The Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA Friday through Sunday, if it isnt time for ER and ET.

Steph I am so sorry, wish you were close by so you could join us.

We celebrate Thanksgiving with my Mom's family each year at community center by where they grew up. My Mom (with the help of my sister and I) fix a roasted turkey, rice, giblet gravy, cheese pie (mac and cheese), and dressing. Forrest smokes a turkey and usually deep frys one too. One Aunt cooks a ham and does noodles, but she is the Aunt that had the heat stroke and has not recovered, so I don't know if she will be doing that or not. The rest of the family fills in with vegetables, salads, breads, casseroles, and of course desserts. We have anywhere from 60 and up eating with us. If we know of someone alone we always invite them. My ex boy friend and his family still eat with us each year, we are friends now. The more the better.........

Wow Lisa, that's quite a crew!

My parents will be coming to Richmond, but with the exception of Thanksgiving day, I think I will be working the whole entire weekend! Sucks because we've reserved a cabin (the same one Juan and I stayed in) up in the Blue Ridge mountains and I was so hoping we'd actually get to use it. Stupid state budget.

Oh, Lisa, that's sweet. You're such a darling.

I have someplace to go, I just don't have the energy to 'pretend' my way through the holidays. I'm doing everything I can do for myself right now; unfortunately, much of my fate rests in the hands of another.

Ok, no more depressing talk. On with the holiday plans...
