Okay, and a few other things I read -

Prostaglandins and Infertility -

An excess of certain prostoglandins can also cause the tubes to expel the egg too quickly into the womb, therefore prohibiting fertilization.

The overproduction of prostaglandin F would signal the body to start a new menstrual cycle, thus expelling the lining and the implanted egg.

Men with low prostaglandin concentrations are more likely to be infertile.

The only conclusion I've come to is that I should stop eating meat and that this is all way too complicated and I'm glad I'm not a scientist.

Betsy - Thanks! I hardly studied for that test and wasn't sure how I'd do. Turns out, it was easier than I thought. Luckily, a lot of it is common sense type stuff - like if someone has scabies you're certainly NOT going to massage them! It's not really getting too technical yet. Next term when I have Anatomy II will be more technical. That's when we get into blood vessels, nerves, tendons etc.

Em - That is all very interesting...I think I'll keep my head in the sand over this one. Too much to think about.

According to a few things I've read - animal fats cause the production of "bad" prostaglandins and confuse your menstrual cycle, and are what cause the painful contractions in the uterus that accompany dysmenorrhea. That's also why they tell women with endometriosis to change their diets, I guess. I guess anything that is high in trans-fatty acids has this affect.

I'm really going to try and change my diet while Juan is gone and see if I have any success. It's hard when he's around because he needs to eat meat to feel full from all the hard labor he does. I'm going to go organic, cut out white carbs, and eat mostly vegetarian while he's gone and see if it helps at all when he comes back.

Emily - I know that since I've changed my diet and have incorporated organic/natural products and foods things have changed for me. I no longer have cramping, bb tenderness or heavy clotty AF, so I believe whole heartedly that diet does make a difference. I never knew what a prostaglandin was, though... something else for me to research

Emily - see what you've started..... Now I'm obsessing again. This is an interesting guideline, though. Thought it might help.

Just a quickie -- I'm on the sales floor most of the day.

Snowie ~ My 2ww...is going. Like I said before, I can think of 50 reasons why this isn't the 'right' time for me, but I don't care anymore.

Bets ~ Yeah. About the whole 'when life begins' thing.

An 'avoiding the attack of the killer sperm' blinkie for 2WWs. LOL!

Ok, gotta go.

Steph - Funny you should mention a special blinkie...I had a dream about you that you asked us all to take off our signatures so that you had more room on your siggie to put your blinkies!! Like somehow our memory space would be transferred to you! HA! Crazy dreamer!!

Okay, I'm struggling with what to buy Juan's mom. I think I've narrowed it down to these two crosses:

Filigree Round Ruby Cross Pendant - Crosses - Necklaces - Jewelry - Helzberg Diamonds

Sapphire Cross Pendant - Diamond & Colored Gem - Necklaces - Jewelry - Helzberg Diamonds

I dunno...they're both pretty and kind of old-fashioned looking. Juan won't help. He's really terrible at picking out gifts so I understand, but still...a little advice would be nice!

Well, I wanted to give you my opinion, but I can't look at the pics at work. Stupid computer not having flash.......I'll look when I get home....in about an hour or so, and I'll give you my opinion.
