LMAO@"quasi-pregnant"! Like pseudo? Lauren the incubator? Y'all are so funny.

I saw on an episode of CSI once and remember...Grissom was talking a/b this topic, when does 'life' begin, and he was even bringing the biblical and scientific worlds together (life blood flowing), and said therefore, it would mean that 'life' began at approximately 18 days after conception, when life's blood begin's to flow. Which by those standards equals @4 1/2wks pg.

Not something I've spent a great deal of time thinking about in this way, I just remembered the scene...

Maybe it's just been a long time since I've been 2WW-ing, but I SWEAR I've got little mild cramps way down low...this should be 5-6DPO...jeesuz, do I need to go back to the beginner's table, or what?

I dunno...I think I'm really hopeful, cause this may be the last shot. The past few days have been totally hellish.

Betsy-I'm glad you got some answers and the RE sat and really talked to you. I'm also glad you took the time to post all that information and got input from everyone. It continues to help me understand and learn new things. I really hope you continue to get some answers and you will be able to move forward with the new year.

Karyn-I went onto Preseed's website. It allows you to locate stores that sell it in your state. I found a small pharmacy that wasn't too far out of my way on my drive home from work. Since I'm the kind of person when it comes to those things that waits til the last minute online ordering doesn't work out so well. I have to work up the courage to try some of these new things. Weird I know. Hope you and DH have a great time on Saturday.....I hope to get a funny story from you!

Lauren-I consider you "caustiously" pg right now!

Hi to everyone and thanks for all the well wishes. I feel really hopeful for the first time in a VERY long time! I've got a lot of people out there saying some extra prayers for us that this roks and we get ourselves a sticky bean.

Lauren- Trust me, I know exactly what you mean about "what am I?" Thankfully, the question will be answered fairly soon!

Betsy- I'm glad you are able to see silver lining. And that you LOVE the RE. Imagine, Betsy, hater of all doctors, talking about how much she loves one!

Betsy-I'm looking at it as a silver lining too. You WERE able to get pg without IUI or fertility meds. I know it will happen for you, hopefully very soon.

Lauren-I consider you pregnant since you have your little (beautiful, btw) embies trying to make home inside. Hopefully for nine months!

Jen-I, too, insisted on a recurrent m/c workup and it's pretty much what Em did minus the endometrial biopsy and chromosome testing which my dr didn't think I needed. It's not too bad, just some blood work. The HSG wasn't the most fun experience but my bet is since you saw a sac in your uterus, blocked tubes aren't an issue.

Steph-How's the 2ww hangin'?

Rebecca-How many days a week do you go to school? It's hard enough for me to drag myself to class one day a week, anymore, I'd be a zombie.

Heidi-I'm so glad you're feeling optimistic! So am I! For you, that is! I am thinking nothing but positive thoughts for you!

Jo-Are you taking Clomid again this cycle?

Em-YAY for normal chromosomes! And nice pics! Looks like a relaxing time!

Karyn-Sounds like a great plan! Here's to good drinks and great company!

Lauren- wow! That's amazing! They really look like the photos in our Science books! BTW, I consider you pg.

Betsy- Thank you for letting us know about your doctors advice. I, too, never knew that about sperm. My DH is going to be so unhappy with this news.

Snowie- I will be taking 100mg of clomid this month.

Heidi- #'s are looking good!!

Snowie, I think sometimes the HSG is also to check for uterine abnormalities that could cause a pregnancy not to implant correctly, like a bicornate (sp?) uterus. The endo biopsy my RE did because he doesn't believe in 7 dpo progesterone testing because progesterone levels vary greatly, even throughout the day. That's what he said anyway...but who knows.

I finally have internet at home! I'm so excited. I wanted to have it for when Juan is gone so I will have something to do while I'm on my butt all the time.

Okay I'm only on real quick cause we are going to make ribs Yeah right it's never quick.

But sperm has what causes abortion!!!!!!!!!! How could I have NOT known this. I'm the sperm queen dammit. Seriously has no one else talked about this. I'm really kinda perturbed by this new information. And it would make sense why a one night stand would happen. Or I can't even tell you the friends I have who barely have sex with their husbands and have gotten pregnant. Wow - I need to digest this a bit more. I don't know if I'll do it every month, but if we get to the point of IUI again I'll definately be sure he doesn't do the deed inside of me.

Lauren I think the Dr telling you no BDing kinda confirms that sperm may not be a good thing. Totally tripping over here!

Our poor husbands... they are going to be so confused sex on demand these 3 days and then you are laid off for 2 more weeks.

My last IUI was done with this same RE and the treatment I got with him was night and day compared to the others. The two inseminations I did with him his office even plays a DVD of a movie while you lay there and hang out. Carlos said the room he was in was really nice too. REally big and clean and everything a guy could want. But it just creeped him out to think how many "others" there were.

And as far as feeling bad for being happy for me...no worries. When Mari got pregnant I was just as torn. Even though she had her loss I was so THRILLED she got pregnant. And it gave me so much hope since her husband has MFI too. I do try not to think about the fact that it may take another 2 years...but I'll worry about that in a few months when I'm not pregnant.

Heidi - Congrats on a good run on the meds! Enjoy your BD! and the swimmers are better in the morning.

Lauren - And I think you are PUPO....Pregnant until proven otherwise. KISS I know there are some blinkies.

Betsy - so glad you had a good experience at the RE.

The month I got pg w/ Hannah, we did not BD between the day I got pg and after I got a BFP and saw the OB. DH didn't want to b/c he thought he would squish the baby, but maybe the no sperm thing helped. I don't know if my chart is still viewable but I think I got pg on the 16 or 19 and that was the last time we BD.

I just looked back at my BFP chart. DH and I only BD'ed once after O my BFP month. And it was just 3 days before my BFP, so she had probably already implanted at that time. Maybe it does make a difference.

Betsy, I am so glad you got in to see the RE and that he is so wonderful. I am sorry that you had a m/c but so happy that you got pregnant!!! {{{Hugs}}} I have never heard of sperm destroying the lining either but you and Emily have, umm, the record for most bd'ing each month so always a possibility.

Lauren, wow what an amazing picture. I consider you pregnant, love the PUPO!

Lauren - I showed Carlos & Jonathan your babies. Carlos' reaction was "ay cabron". I can't really translate what that means literally but it's a reaction of shock. Jonathan said he would pray for you....I thought that was sweet. especially since I haven't prayed with him in like...forever.

Heidi - How did the trigger go tonight??

Em - I'm going to have to ask my RE if there is a prostaglandin test they can do during the s/a I'm seriously fascinated.

Karyn - Girl you got me beat on the drinking.

Tina - I can't believe you are almost 1/2 baked.

Mere - Bug hugs that's funny I would have thought that was some Texas tihng.

Laura- Glad you finally caught up with what we were talking about, we move fast over here.

Dana - You've been keeping us a secret!! The night the beans were spilled about my BFP my phone was blowing up with messages and CArlos was like...gezzus who's pregnant now...cause you know I don't have any regular friends. I lied and told him that Lauren hadn't posted so people were checking with me on her. He bought it. =)

Steph - My perception of when life begins has changed over the last 5 years. The life of my baby with Carlos began 2 years ago.

Sarah - I think I need a blinkie cause I still do believe the majority of doctors are stupid heads.

Snowie - Maybe you and hubby should try the sperm free zone method post O............

oooh I envision another blinkie! TTC sperm free zone style. CHRISTINA!!!!!!!! That is hilarious...in order to get pregnant you need to stop having sex with your husband.

Kelly/Mere - Thanks for your input...I know I'm running way too far with this...but it may mean something.

Kristy -

So DH & I talked about sperm free zone and he's all for it. He thinks it makes sense when you think about one night stands like Em mentioned or unfortunately rape cases as well. Shrug - might as well.

I also remembered that DH NEVER once came inside me the whole time I was pg.

Betsy - Wow. That's about all I can say about your doctor. No wonder you LOVE him. How incredible to have been given so much information along with empathy - and the time he spent with you. You just don't find that much these days. I hope you're feeling at peace with everything.

About the whole sperm causing m/c..... I had asked about that because the day that I had the excruciating cramp (which I believe is when the m/c actually happened) it was about 4 hours after we bd'd. My doctor blew it off.

Heidi - YAY to good E2 levels! Things seem to be rolling right along for you. Seems there's a streak of bfp's in the IF section - let's add you to the list!

Snowie - Two nights. I go to school two nights until 10:30. By the time I get home, it's about 11:15 then have to say hello to the dogs, wash my face, brush my teeth, pee, change my clothes and wait for the dogs to come in from outside..... it's almost midnight before hitting the sack. When Friday rolls around, I am dogfood! Oh, got an A on that test last night. That's the last test for that class. We have two homework assignments due plus an oral presention then we're done with it. On to Pathology tonight....

Betsy, you can still email me at my work address. I have access to it from home. Otherwise it's too complicated to remember which email account to check.

I've been wondering about the sperm thing for the last 15 hours. I'm not sure that the amount of prostaglandin in sperm is enough to cause spontaneous abortion, but maybe if it's enough over the course of a lot of days? My RE didn't say anything about not BD'ing after O and I told him we have sex 4-5times a week. I dunno...it will be hard to convince Juan not to have sex for two weeks. But maybe I will time my trips to Mexico around O time to see if it works?!

Snowie, I haven't actually gotten my chromo results yet. The other tests were all normal, but still waiting on chromosomes.
