Lauren-I agree with CD29.
Em-Definitely worth a pair of shoes. Men are different about these things. I think by him asking as well its his way of letting you know he cares and will be there for you. So I think someone may have used my debit card. I found a pending charge on my account to itunes. I have an ipod but have never purchased any music for it. So I had to call the bank and cancel my card and get a new one. what a pain. Now if I want to buy anything I have to write checks or take cash out. UGH. |

Em - I agree w/ the girls.......his asking if you wanted him to go was his best way of saying I'd like to be there for you......and buy a pair or two of shoes.......you definately deserve em.
Betsy - I haven't had much of a problem w/ C...then again I eat raisin bran a few times a week as its one of the things that stays down. |

Thinking of you Em...
I must actually be PMSing (AF due Thursday)...or with my new healthier diet, it's more apparent, but I want a bag of those crunchy kettle cooked potato chips SO BAD right now. Or some store-bought chocolate milk. UGH! Dying... But I had 3 slices of WW toast with butter, a little cup of non-sweetened applesauce, and about 6oz of OJ this morning, then a subway sandwich for lunch (I do the Italian BMT on wheat, no cheese, spinach leaves, cukes, pickles, pepper, and italian dressing). I'm gonna try and down some water to see if I can kick this craving... |

Karyn- I actually got married in Italy. My DH and I met in Italian language classes and we have been there three times. We've even been to meet our families there. He has family in Sicily and I have family in Naples. We got married in Rome and had a fairytale wedding! It was sooooo romantic! The Italians love to see brides and even started clapping and singing songs to us. It was pretty surreal. I'll post some pics when I get home. I love sharing them!

Oh, BTW, Betsy ~ I sold a 1.79 carat diamond in a 18K white and rose gold diamond pave setting.
And check out my new blinkie that Cristina made me! I might not have anyone trying with me, but that doesn't mean I'm not trying myself! Ha.Last edited by GemGoddess : 11-02-2007 at 06:16 PM. |

Hiiiiiiii Girls! I haven't been on in so long. Work and school are killing me.
Betsy-Thanks for checking in on me! I haven't gotten a chance to watch the Today show since I've been so darn busy but I did Tivo it and will watch it as soon as I catch my breath! I'm so excited for your upcoming IUI!!! And lol to the "cute one." You're much too kind! Lauren-My vote is for CD29. I hope AF plain doesn't show but if she plans on making an appearance, may it be sooner than later so you can get on with your IVF! Em-So glad you have a plan! I'm thinking positive thoughts for you! Jen-My fingers are crossed for you!!! Mari-**Rising beta vibes** Heidi-I hope your cyst shrinks soon! I found on my ttc break, I was a lot more relaxed and not at all obsessed with it all. Babies, pg women, none of it bothered me strangely enough. I hope you and DH get to relax and enjoy each others' company. Heck, party it up! Steph-Sounds like you've been better! Jo-I know I'm totally late in saying this, but as a fellow teacher, I've had my share of ungrateful parents, even psycho ones, but I just try not to take it personally. Easy to say, hard to do, but just know that you're an excellent teacher and try not to let one idiot put a damper on your spirits. Rebecca-My DH would so love it if I knew how to give massages. How do your fingers not get tired? I feel like they're gonna fall off after giving DH a "massage!" Karyn-So glad your appt went well. The next step is always a good thing.

HEy girls, sorry i didnt post all day, but i decided not to have my blood drawn today, i'll wait until monday. I just didnt want to get hit with bad news today and cry over it the whole weekend.
Af still isnt here, which just makes things alittle weirder. I took another HPT last night before leaving for our costume party and it showed even fainter than the first 2. I just know something weird is going on. The party was great, we were dressed as nerds both DH and I, i couldnt help but laugh everytime i saw DH form across the room. I´ll post some pics later. WE took today off, since DH is mexican, we celebrated with our mexican friends Dia de Muertos, (Day of the dead). Since we´re having a long weekend i dont wnat to be a downer. I´ll wait on monday, if its bad news , i´ve got work to keep my mind of it. Thanks for thinking of me. Emily- i hope everything went well, and of course i would have forced DH to come with me. All of my appointments , he´s been there with me, just to make him understand how this afects US not just me. Betsy- im thinking about the relax thing too, with my m/c, even though we were on injects that month, my month was on everything except ttc, so i just didnt pay attention, i took a HPT because i was 5 days late. This month , i was supposed to be on a break, and whatever it is, happened. Í would just hate it that all that crap people tell you about relaxing, were true.

Mari - Enjoy your weekend.
Snowie - It's weird because I thought the same thing about your hands hurting and massage, but they don't unless you're doing something like kneading the traps. Generally, you use your body to apply pressure for the strokes and your hands/arms don't get tired at all. It's all about body mechanics and how you hold yourself while doing massage. If you're giving your dh a massage, have him lay at the foot of the bed so you can stand instead of sitting on his butt. |

Heidi - Any answers on the CC? How much was charged? Tina - Raisin bran is for old people... Lauren - what r u up to this weekend? Any more interactions with witchy mom? Steph - Maybe you should have an affair with my husband? You'll probably get pregnant with twins and then we can split them? I am joking....and then half not cause you know it would happen too. Snowie- I felt the same way during my break. Preggos & babies didnt bother me. Hope things settle down quick. Mari - I understand about not going for the b/w. I think Tina did that? Was it Tina? can't remember. Definately post pics! I continue to have my fingers crossed for you. Rebecca - Since my life now revolves around good posture. How do you offset that after giving a massage? The kids didn't come this weekend. So it's a cleaning, errand weekend, I doubt we'll do anything fun...and I'm so okay with that. JOnathan's dad was too "busy" to have him this weekend after not seeing him for a whole week.

Betsy - so sorry to hear a/b Em's biopsy experience. If you talk to her, send her (((HUGS))) from me. I've been walking w/ a co-worker after school. She has a 14 yr old son, that she had when she was 14, and a 3 yr old daughter w/ her husband. She's been telling me how hard it is seeing Andru's dad be a crappy father and that one of the things that makes her so happy a/b her life right now is knowing that Malayna has a good dad and always will. How does Jonathan take it all?

Betsy - Have you ever heard about the Alexander Technique? It's about good posture and relieving stress from the joints etc. It's NOT easy since we're all so used to standing/sitting/walking poorly with rounded shoulders, etc. Anyway, one of the instructors at school is certified in the Alexander Technique. When it's all said and done, we will have had 10.5 hours of training in Alexander plus she pops in during Swedish class to apply the technique to our body mechanics while practicing. It's pretty interesting. If you're interested.....
THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE There's something else pretty interesting that we did this week. Our Concepts of Health and Hygiene class was geared toward Eastern modalities and theory. We watched a video called What the Bleep Do We Know. I would highly recommend everyone to watch it. It's basically about the power of positive thinking and accepting the unknown. It's very thought provoking. What the Bleep Do We Know!?™ & What the Bleep!? - Down the Rabbit Hole |
