Em~ Each night I take a prenatal, B complex, folic acid, and baby asprin. I don't know how true it is, but when I was reading about taking b6 for a better lp, I found some things that said the B vitamins do not work as well on their own, and work much better in a complex vitamin. It is like they supplement each other. Just something to think about. I am so happy you are getting some answers!!!

Mari~ Costume party! I want to see pictures!

Lauren, do B vitamins make your pee smell really bad? I've found that to be true.

Mari - I want to see pictures too!

I'm getting a little nervous about the biopsy. Luckily I have plenty of percocets laying around from my burns so if the pain is too much, I'll just take one of those! And a glass of wine! And a tylenol PM! I have to say, the first night after I burned myself, that was my cocktail of choice:

2 percs + 2 drinks + 2 tylenol PM = total state of suspended reality. It was beautiful!

Emily - When I saw my doctor last, I asked him how much folic acid was needed for ttc and pregnancy. He told me 1000mcg. Basic otc prenatals only have 800 and I think regular multi vitamins only have 400 and yes, B vitamins make your pee bright yellow and smelly!

That is so terrible about Juan's friend. I can't even imagine having to go through that. My MIL had a stillbirth at 8 months - the cord strangled him (before dh) and she said her m/c was worse.

Em-That's awful about Juan's friend. A friend of mine's wife had a simialr experience at 5 months. I think that's got to be the worst experience ever to face and go through. That was thoughtful of you to have Juan be there for the husband for support.

I don't know much about the biopsy stuff. My RE mentioned it during my last consult that if I did the lap he'd do that as well as another HSG all at the same time since I'd be out. Wish I could offer a little bit more. I do remember though he emntioned the biopsy itself was not a big deal. I'm sure you'll do fine tomorrow. And I think your cocktail will help!

Karyn-I don't remember if I mentioned that or not about our luck changing around here but what the hell I'll take credit for it hee hee. But with so many of us moving forward it's got to!

Em - Your suggesting Juan be there for his friend is the best thing you could do.....just being there to listen and do what they need of you is the most supportive and loving thing you can do. My sil who lost Lily at 71/2 months said that was what she appreciated most.

Rebecca - A thought occured to me this morning in the shower. I was thinking of you in the shower...anyway.......I sometimes feel like you are OUR moderator helping things happen for us, what's going to happen when you graduate? Who will "protect" us? Will we get a new mod? BTW wouldn't water help with the stinky yellow pee?

Karyn - Are you going to give up temping then? My DH was very hopeful too after our first IUI, he even had bookmarked baby comforters. I never told him I found them, and he eventually deleted them, now I think he is just kinda is in coast mode with me. Talk to Jo about Italy I think she went there for her honeymoon!

My DH likes hearing the stories of the other girls here. He's HORRIBLE with names. He remembers like Rebecca is the "dog girl" Emily is the "guera" Lauren is the "one with the pink house", Mere is the "astronaut", Snowie is the "cute one" cause I just think she is the cutest thing ever! things like that, it's pretty funny.

Tina - so your husband got his earthquake cherry popped. =) Be sure to write that in your baby book. BTW with the extra folic do you get the big C. I'm actually guilty of not dropping folic, it gives me horrible C. I should probably take it during my next IUI cycle, or probably the cycle before.

Heidi - you stopped temping right? I was always curious was does BCP do to temping. Enjoy shopping!! Whatcha gonna get??

Steph - Jonathan's Gate is focused on Science and technology. The teacher has a masters in Science and the school is a technology school. Each kid has a laptap. He can do power points, pod casts, you name it. BTW what did you sell that was $15,000??

Em Em Em - My dear friend, I can't even tell you how amazingly proud I am of you that you went to the RE. (tears in my eyes again) I know it was something you put off forever and I'm so happy you went. And if nothing else you should feel pretty good that you embraced your fears and stepped out of your comfort zone. Kiss.
BTW mid march??????????????????? He's not coming back to March??????????????? I was thinking February latest

Go Jen G o Jen Go Jen Go Jen Go Jen Go Jen.

Kelly - Good for you for spreading your IF knowledge. It's important.

Jo - I wondered the same thing when I took my 100 mg.

Lauren - We gave out candy for Halloween, We lit up the porch with candles and pumkins, turned on scary music. I even had to go to Target to refill on Candy. We had about 120 trickatreaters. It was non stop.

Tammy - We were trying to stay in denial and stay in October...

Mari - OMG.....OMG....OMG...

I called my RE today and we are all systems go for January/February. DH has to go in the next time he's home from work and do his HIV testing, his expired at the end of this month. I've also decided to only do my cobra for the month of October. I'm saving the other $700 for the IUI's next year. Even though it's a preexisting condition, my insurance won't cover it anyway. Ane my RE said the only extra I would have to pay is another $200 for the u/s. And that covers all the u/s for the whole cycle. He did say we would talk more about the injectibles when I come in for my CD 1 u/s. It'll be perfect timing cause by then Dh would be doing the accupuncture for 3 months.

Betsy-Sounds like a great plan for the IUI. May be we'll be doing injectables together! No temping for me. I assume your temp would be level on BCP because it keeps you from Oing and then may be a drop when AF comes? Interesting. I need shoes and work clothes. DH is working tomorrow which will give me the time I need to myself. Yahoo.

Betsy - I haven't temped in over a week. My alarm goes off at 5:00am every morning, so last weekend I said forget it, I'm tired and going back to sleep. I thought I have AF anyway so I really don't care what my temp is at that time! The RE said I can stop, or if I really wanted to, continue temping. So I actually hid my thermometer in the hall closet, in a basket, way on the top shelf!!

I know they make a prenatal with a stool softner in it, maybe you could take that with the extra folic acid to help with the big C. I don't know if that would help or not.

Jo - I'm jealous, did you go to Italy for your honeymoon?

Heidi - Yeah for a shopping day all to yourself! I love shopping alone! After the RE's on Monday, I plan on going to the mall to continue with Christmas shopping. Not exactly the shopping I want to do, but maybe I can sneak a few things in for myself!

Betsy - You're thinking about me at work, you're thinking about me in the shower..... hmmmm.....should I start worrying about you??

Anyway, I'll always be here regardless of whether or not I 'graduate'. I can't imagine my days without all of you. What you said about me being YOUR moderator really makes me feel good and means a lot just knowing that I might make the smallest difference in someone's life. It's very gratifying. Thank you!

About the stinky yellow pee - sure water would help dilute it. I actually just posted to Melissa yesterday about hydration. It's so hard sometimes to remember to hydrate. To be adequately hydrated, we are supposed to drink 1/2 oz of water for every pound of body weight. Since the body is about 80% water to begin with, you need to keep replenishing what gets excreted.

Oh, and I have to pat myself on the back for a second. I am getting very comfortable with massage and I'm getting pretty good at it, too! I had dh so relaxed yesterday that he didn't even realize that I massaged his face.

Girls~ This morning with my temp, ff tried to change my o date to cd 33. I think it is wrong... I physically felt like I o'ed on cd 29, and in looking at my chart overlay, my pattern matches my o'ing on cd 29. For now I have manually over-ridden the cd 33 o date. What do you girls think???

Morning girls. I'm nervous today. I know it's supposedly not a big deal, but the idea of a metal anything going through my cervix is creeping me out. I didn't cramp with the HSG so I'm hoping I won't cramp with the biopsy.

Mini-rant. I don't think Juan is coming with me and I kind of wish he would. Is it lame that I don't think I should have to tell him he should come with me? He kept asking me "Do you want me to go with you" and I felt like he was putting it on my shoulders, like he would be doing me a favor. I wanted him to say "I want to be there with you" or something emotional and girly like that. I know guys think differently, but I was just kinda not happy that he needed me to say if he should go or not. Oh well.

Betsy - I don't mind being la guera. I've been called that by almost all the people he knows, and he even calls me his guerita. Thanks for being proud of me It was definitely not something I was super interested in doing, thus I drug my feet for a year.

Heidi, have fun shopping! If this biopsy doesn't suck too much, the hospital is right by the mall and I may stop in for a few. I figure metal scraping wire up hoo-ha = at least one pair of shoes!

Emily - Men don't think the same way we do. I think by him asking and offering to go is his way of saying he wants to be there for you. Men don't always find the right words, but we know that they mean well even if they don't say something the way we'd like. I'd say, tell him 'well, I'd like for you to go' or something to that effect. That way you're not telling him or requesting.

Definitely worth a pair of shoes.

Bec~ On advanced it gives me cd 33, on reserach and FAM, it keeps it at cd 29. What do you think?

Em~ I am sorry Juan doesnt know how to respond. I felt the same way in the beginning of all these procedures. Now I am at the point where I just say "You're coming with me." No choices for him. I'm getting poked and prodded. The least he can do is hold my hand. **hugs**
