Oh Rebecca, they seem to stick it to us no matter which way we turn, but at least you know it going in and can plan accordingly. Hope you have a good time, and a nice romantic stay anyway.

Forrest just called and said he would be home tonight, thank you Lord! The wind is getting worse and worse, and as most of you know I hate winds b/c of tornados we have had. The good Lord is bringing my sweetie home to protect me. Just having him there helps a lot. We have a tornado watch is some parts of the state until 11 PM. Right now my county is not one, but that could change at any time.

Hope you all have a good and safe night.

Rebecca - That's place looks nice! Glad you got the 'memories package'. That will be a nice extra especially since this is your first alone vacation in a while!

Lisa - I'm so glad Forrest made it home yesterday! Glad you didn't have to be alone during those winds. Oh great fire ants? We will see what happens! I put plants in 2 years ago, they came up great. Then DH took the disk through the garden after he did our field & oops! The plants pulled right out! Then I tried last year & they never came up. THIS IS MY YEAR...THEY WILL COME UP!

Cassie - That picture is beautiful! It looks professional!

Steph - Is your dad still doing well?

Karyn - Dh was funny last night. I showed him the website and his jaw dropped. He didn't want to know how much $$ it was. After I told him the basic fee for a night, he was okay since that's about what we paid at the comfort inn/suites in Barrie two years ago (even with AAA discount!). He mentioned again today how he's really looking forward to that little hotel and how it might even be romantic. What a goon!

We were lucky last night no real wind at all but hardly any rain too. Just a little thunder and lightening, but other counties did have tornados and wind damage. It was good to have Forrest at home, I already know he will not be home tonight on his way to TN and back here and there again.

RAC too cute about Brad, I really hope you two have a nice time there. Glad he was not upset with the price too. Enjoy each other!

Kayrn, my experience with strawberry plants are that the roots do not grow deep, that is why it is so hard to keep the grass out of them. Good luck on your gardening.

Rebecca-Well you are better informed then we were. That wasn't our first trip there but it was since the exchange rate took a dive. So we had a lot of sticker shock so to say. It makes me sick the state of our economy........I have about a 45 min drive to work and DH has been driving farther lately too......our gas bill for our trucks was over $700. I honestly don't know how people will survive driving to work on these gas prices! By the way I will be stalking you during the rest of your 2ww.

Irene - It is awfully pretty, isn't it??

Heidi - Dh and I have been taking the trip to Canada for the past 6 years (I skipped last year to go to MB), so unfortunately, yep, I know how expensive it is. It wasn't so bad before when OUR economy was good and there was an actual exchange rate, but now it's ridiculous. Taking a water taxi to the island (10 miles) is probably going to be about $150 - no kidding - because of the gas prices.

We had a manager's meeting yesterday with our senior manager and he was asking about people in our groups and their commute. I guess people are asking for revised work schedules to help reduce traffic time because of gas prices. It's (in some places) up to $3.86. There's talk about it being up to $7.00 by the end of summer. Something has got to be done about this. We can't live this way.

Rebecca-I even carpool and have been for about 2 years. Our prices here in MI are about $3.89-3.99 and we have one of the worst economies because of the car industry. I plan on taking at least a day off each week as well if I can to help out. We live pretty close to the Windsor boarder and it was always fun to go there and gamble because of the exchange rate. It really is amazing to me to think when the whole 911 happened and people started losing jobs that this many years later we'd be in even worse shape as a country. And I agree with Irene about the chart....I know you keep blaming it on clomid but you always say you like nice steady temps!

Ladies I am in the boat with you all too, I drive 37 miles one way each day, and there is no one here to carpool with either. When I worked for another state agency I did carpool there were 4 and sometimes 5 of us, the only bad thing about it was if someone was sick or there was emergency we all had to leave. We are at $3.55 a gallon right now, or that was last night. Seems like everytime I go by a station the price is up. I asked about working a 4 day work week and was told that it was too difficult thing to do. I even submitted how I could rotate days being off so it would not just be Mondays and Fridays and still got shot down by my supervisor. They live less than 2 miles from here. I understand our new director wants to help us out, I hope he passes something for us.

RAC I am getting excited for you and your chart, I am praying.

Heidi~I didn't know you lived in Michigan...right? If so, i'm not far from you at all.

Rebecca~Up to $7 by the end of summer? That will really suck!

Gas prices suck big time! DH and I carpool together thank goodness! We have a honda and intend on keeping for the better gas milage. It stinks though! I just don't get how the prices can jump .30 in an hour and then only come back down .05. Makes no sense!

I work 9hr M-Th and 4 hrs every Friday, but it still stinks b/c I have to drive out here EVERYDAY! My other option is to do 4/10's but that would leave Rhylee at daycare for 11 1/2 hrs a day!!! I get paid over time so they said I can't do 9/80's and be off every other Friday b/c it would put me working over 40 hrs in one week. I do like only working 4 hrs EVERY Friday though. Something HAS GOT to give with the increase in prices for everything!!

Karyn ~ Dad is doing okay. His doc did many more biosy sites and rutned up nothing, so b/c prostate cancer (except for one form, but he doesn't have that) is SO slow growing, they're going to leave it alone for a while and check him out again in a handful of months. His doc literally said if it progressed fast he could die in ten or twelve years. And they caught it as early as early can get, since he had the same tests done last summer and turned up clean.

I'm nervous a/b ttc again. There is a lot of complicated stuff in my life, and old feelings I'm not able to access about ttc and babies, etc, but I know that right now, all I can think is that it's something that is needed to really start me healing on a personal level, and all the other feelings will come back through after that. On a certain level you can say 'that's not the right reason to ttc'. And on that level it's not. But I know in my gut that all the 'right' reasons are there in me buried, no doubt, I just can't feel them right now. I don't know that I will again until my own baby is thriving and growing and waiting to be born; then the real me will come through. And I can be again who that baby needs me to be. Did I mention I'm nervous?

Rebecca ~ Your chart does look nice

Um...yeah, gas prices suck! Cap'n currently drives about 50 miles to work each way! We're moving this summer and he wants to stay in the same town! I don't think so, buddy! I'm looking for a job closer to his work so we can move around there. I'm spoiled right now and drive only 2 miles to work, but the cons far outweigh that pro.

Deanna-Yup good old MI. We live just outside of Detroit. I can't remember where at in Ohio are you? And also refresh my memory but I am thinking for some reason you and DH work for a state agency too? But could be thinking of someone else.

Well it sounds like everyone is in the same bad spot with driving. As we all suffer trying to make it to and from work the oil companies become richer and richer. Ok I'm done w
