Hi guys. Bad weekend. I took the day off yesterday. Nothing in particular, just life sucking.

Been thinking of y'all, wanted to say, I know I've been dumping an awful lot on y'all lately. Thanks for letting me.

Kayla...amazes me too how time goes by too. You know what's scary? I wonder sometimes how much has happened that I've forgotten? Weird thought.

Karyn, Snowie, everyone. Thanks.

Off to read about Jend...worried...

Heidi~My dr wants to do an u/s just like she does with clomid. The only problem is...i'll be in Florida this cycle. I told them they could do it next Wed which will be CD10. Thats only 3 days sooner than usual and my follies are usually 20-24mm by CD13. So I think you should still be able to see them growing. I'm glad she's trying new things too. So we'll see. Maybe DH and I can make a Florida baby! Sorry I forgot to tell you Happy Birthday!!! Ice cream cake sounds yummy!

Karyn~I heard the same thing about the Femara. The Pharmacy lady told me that I might get hot flashes worse than I did on clomid though. I guess Femara causes you to not produce as much estrogen or something. Hopefully my lining gets thicker cause I think thats the main reason she switched me. I'm hoping since I respond to clomid I will to this new stuff. How's everything going on your end? Do you have 1 month or 2 left of Lupron? Sorry i'm forgetful these days

Rebecca~You seem to know a lot about prenatals. I'm almost out of mine and need some new ones. Do you recommend anything? I bought cheap ones from Kroger this last time, so i'd like some better ones. Any advice would be great! Thanks!!!

I was thinking of asking for the HCG shot next time. I'm not fully sure how it works though. I know it makes you release the egg, but does it make you release all if you produced more than one? Does it hurt really bad? My friend told me it hurts REALLY bad! Just curious. I can't this month since i'll O probably on the 24 and thats the day I get back from Florida. So lots of BD in Florida!

Deanna - I don't technically know a lot about prenatals. I know a bit about supplements and what to look for as far as the types of ingredients in the supplements like calcium should be mostly calcium citrate, lactate and something else, but most vitamins (including this prenatal, which is one thing I don't like about it) have calcium carbonate, which can not be absorbed by the body, so it's useless. Vitamin D should be D3 and not D2. Most of your cheaper supplements will have only calcium carbonate and use the D2 - so you're taking stuff that really does nothing for you. Prenatals have 1mg (or 1000 mcg) of folate (folic acid), which from what I have seen is the main difference between a prenatal and a regular multivitamin. Yes, some of the other ingredients are different, but not that much.

I would suggest finding a whole foods supplement and checking the types of supplements that are in them. Try a health food store, Whole Foods market or something like that. Bina (bb30) takes a decent supplement that you can get off of the internet - rainbow something or other - you can check with her. I am a firm believer of the whole 'you get what you pay for' theory when it comes to vitamins. You go to a chiropractor, don't you??? Maybe he/she could recommend a good 'whole foods' supplement that would be appropriate and you could just add some folic acid to ensure you're getting enough. Just a thought....

Rebecca~I don't go to a chiropractor....you might be thinking of when I had my foot reflexology done. Which i'd love to do again! I still want to do that Maya Abdominal massage too. Ok, I didn't know all that stuff about calcium and the D3. So i'll look for those 2 things. We have GNC around here and I know that they sell prenatals. I'll take a look at the ingredients. My dr said she'd prescribe me some, but I didn't think it was needed. Thanks for the input!

Snowie~I really hope this is my month too. I was a little skeptical of taking this new stuff since I know what clomid does and I respond to clomid well...I think. I guess my dr wants my lining thicker than 8.6. Hoping to make a baby while on vacation next week!

Deanna, you may want to look at Juice Plus, it is not really a vitamin, more of a supplement. My doc looked into it and said it looked great for pregnancy. I was also on a prescription for folic acid too.

Deanna~ An hcg shot is really simple, and doesn't hurt. It releases all mature follies/eggs that you produce.

Deanna-I agree with Lauren that the HCG shot doesn't hurt. I know that some women will go the doctor's office will administer the shot. For me I do it on my own. I hope the new stuff works for you too. Thanks for happy birthday.

Snowie-Thanks for the happy birthday! Hope you're doing good!

Heidi - Did you end up getting a card? If they never acknowledged your birthday, whatever, but to start out calling and sending cards and then just stop? That's so insane! I guess I should of went for the 3 for $5 deal with the animal crackers since I have less than a half of a bag left

Melissa - LOL@the last minute "grocery shopping", Did she really think you weren't on to her!

Rebecca - Have you got a +OPK yet?

Steph - Should be a good ROL Sunday!

Deanna - Good luck on the Femara! I bet your body will respond great to it, since you did so well on Clomid. Tomorrow is shot #2, then mid-Apirl is the last one. I think end of May it should be totally out of my system, hopefully. I guess I just wait & see when AF shows. I have read that it can take a while but I think that was more common for women who did the 6 month therapy. I did read that if AF hasn't shown, the RE can give you something to bring it on. You can bet your butt that's what I'll be doing! I want to get back on the TTC wagon as soon as I can! How long are you in Florida for?

Snowie - Are you having any feeling towards the sex of the baby? I can't wait to hear what your having!

It is so nice out! I have a few windows open, I love it! This is the third day in a row I've been able to walk the dog!

Karyn~I am in Florida for Wed through Sunday. So a nice little trip. Its about 80 where i'm going, so I can't wait!! I need some relaxing for sure. That would be awesome if you can be back on the TTC wagon by May. Its going fast so far I think! I really hope I respond to the Femara too. If I respond so well, I just don't get what else could be in the way. I have only been on clomid for 2 months, so patience I guess.

Lauren/Heidi~Thanks so much for letting me know that the shot isn't bad. I really want to try it since it seems to have worked for some. I wish I could get the shot this cycle, but I can't since i'm leaving. If this month don't work, i'm out next month for the shot too cause i'll be in Myrtle Beach then! ahhh, darn it I forgot about that!!!

Karyn-I got a card from his sister and grandma yesterday and as of today nothing from his parents. It's just frustrating because they use to do things for us (and not that I think its about the gift) but when you go from buying things like golf clubs, down to cards and now nothing its just sad. DH has said in the past he thought it was because his dad retired so now they are on a fixed income.....but don't buy that when you're out buying flat screen tvs, new computers, snowblowers, cars etc. It's just such a lack of acknowledgement that we exsist to some extent. Oh well......guess it gives me a reason to not have to be nice. HA HA. Can't believe you are still craving the cookies! Tomorrow's the big day of shot 2 right?

Just wanted to let you all know that AF has not come yet. I continue to spot (mostly brown but Tuesday it was red). Very weird as I've never gone this long spotting before AF. I don't know what to think at this point. I've got a little hope back that just may be something is going on but then I remember I'm 15DPO and I feel nothing which makes me think she's still coming. Anyways plan for now is to wait it out. If for some reason I still don't start I'm going to do b/w anyways on Monday. If she does come then I'm going to call to ask for a consult with the RE to talk about the spotting and may be next time we need to check progersterone just in case. It's never been an issue with or without meds but with the spotting it just makes me wonder.

No testing for me. Honestly seeing a BFN is harder than AF coming....weird I know. But at least right now I get to think and imagine that I just might be pg. Once I see the BFN it kind of shatters that little dream. So either AF will show or I go for b/w Monday. Plus like I said I have no signs or symptoms. Which I know doesn't mean anything but makes me think that this probably isn't it.

Karyn - Nope, not yet. I had been using some FR opks, but ran out and today I used an Answer (just the strip from the 20 pack). It was negative, but I'm not crazy about the strips with no packaging. I'm not sure why. I may stop and buy another box of FR opks for tomorrow. I thought for sure I'd have a positive today, but this is good because now I don't have to worry about my cd3 test next cycle!!

Heidi - I agree....it makes no sense about the birthday stuff. Your dh would probably never say anything about it to them, huh??

You're 16 dpo.... that's awfully long for you. Maybe you'll get a belated birthday surprise on Monday!!

Rebecca-I don't think DH would ever say anything. He does acknowledge to me when we discuss things that what they do isn't right. And at least for now that's good enough. As far as being 16DPO......it is long for me but not on the shots. Last time I went I think 19DPO which is why I thought I was pg and it just threw me for a loop. So this time I knew what to expect but the spotting starting hasn't made any sense. Damn body! HA HA
