Besty-I took 4 ibuprofen. My doctor has approved that amount for cramps as it is the same strength as taking 1 800mg of prescribed motrin. I took it about an hour before I went.

Betsy - They just recommended I take 2 Advil 45 minutes before my HSG, I dont really think it matters what kind it is (Regular pain reliever, menstral kind, etc etc) just as long as you take the dose that is recommended for you and to just take it 45 minutes to an hour before hand. You should be good.

christina - you know my luck with anyone in the medical profession. They told me no need for pain reliever and to abstain from sex for 10 days. neither one of those directions I plan to follow.

so I think I'll pop 2 of the pills my friend gave me. That's 1000 mg. I figure since I don't take pain killers often it should kick in pretty quick.
Or is that too much. I need to be able to drive afterwards.

Nah, that sounds good to me Betsy. You should be able to drive home, some hospitals will ask you bring someone to drive you. I felt uncomfortable but I would have been able to drive home had Jose not come with me.

Betsy -- I took 4 advil 1 hour before the HSG and it didn't do squat for the pain I felt with the HSG. Normally though, 4 advil would make my AF cramps go away. I think you should be fine with the 2 pills your friend gave you. Also, I agree with Christina, I was uncomfortable, but able to drive afterwards.

Lisa -- I soo totally understand about not wanting to spend all of this money with no guarantee. The account with 10,000 doesn't sound too bad I suppose. I know I've already spent over 2,000 just on doctor's visits and tests. I think I would flip if I added in my meds, lab work, opks, and hpts.

My temp went up this morning, so I am guessing I o'ed yesterday. CD 15 is the earliest I have ever o'ed... maybe the Clomid did move me up a day, or two.

Bets~ You know, we are always going somewhere. We don't plan it that way, but we are usually doing something. This weekend is my cousin's little boy's first birthday, and they have invited a lot of family. My mom, aunt, cousins, are going. I am excited to see everyone. I will keep you in my thoughts for the hsg.

Morning all. I think I've become an insomniac. I can't seem to sleep at all. I'm up at least 10 times a night, and then if I wake up after 5, that's it, I'm up for the day.

Betsy, we DID get rid of the cooking lady and I love not having a stranger and her uncontrolled child in my house. We're spending less money on food and cooking together every night. DH admitted that he was happy she's gone too, and that he likes cooking together because he feels like it's a bonding time for us to unwind at the end of the day and chat. He also admitted to me the other day that he thinks all of the problems we've had over the last several months are because of his alcohol abuse. I don't know how long this will last, but he says his only drinking day will be saturday.

I hope your HSG is as painless as mine was.

Emily - Cooking together is definately a bonding experience. Since we moved to the new place we cook together a lot too. And it's nice cause there is no TV no nothing distracting you. Hopefully Juan will mellow out more and more with age?

Betsy~ No, unfortunately we don't have the kids with us this weekend, so they will not go with us. It always makes me sad that they miss out on fun things because it is not "our weekend," and there is no such thing as negotiating with their mom.
