Thank you

So the nurse emailed me and my beta was 14 She said that was fine for 7 days after transfer and that we would know more on Friday. She also asked me not to tell K because it would worry her being so low. I promised I wouldn't. Please pray this isn't a chemical. I don't think I could bear telling her it was over

Well I tested again this morning and still a faint but obvious BFP so I am hoping it isn't a chemical.

Mine with AJ was only 13 when I did my first HCG - It was like ten days after IUI, so I think that is around the same. I wish you the best of luck!

Do you have another beta today? I know you said we'd know more on Friday... just wondering how things are going today.

Yesterday my beta was 28, so it doubled but is still low. My progesterone is 49. The nurse says not to worry that is great but I can't help but worry since every other GS that transferred this month had beta's over 100

Kristy - Doubling is great news and your progesterone is fantastic. Try not to compare to other stats...... When will you go for another draw??

Rac, I go Monday. I know I shouldn't compare to others but it is hard when their 1st betas are so much higher. I POAS this morning and it was darker so that makes me feel a little better. What a long weekend this will be!

Woo hoo I just got a PREGNANT on a digital which means my beta must be increasing!! I immediately called K and she is so excited!!!

As for K, she had a faint positive test on Thursday, went for her beta and it was 10, had it repeated today and it was 33. She has been having bright red spotting since Thursday and having cramps that increased tonight. Her problem has never been getting pregnant but maintaining a pregnancy. I hope this one doesn't end in m/c too

Kristy - YAY!!! That's definitely a sign that your numbers are increasing! I hope K's continue to rise, too. Do you know if they determined why she hasn't been able to maintain a pregnancy??

Oh my gosh... can you imagine if her pg maintains, too? She would have twins, but carried by two different people?!?!?!

I'm keeping you both in my prayers. Remember that low numbers don't really mean much. It's all about the doubling, and I think things are sounding really good!

Rac, she has Asherman's syndrome, a severe form of uterine adhesions and scar tissue caused by a D&C after a m/c. She has been able to get pregnant 5 times but m/c each time because the embryo is unable to get enough nutrients to survive past 8 weeks. She had surgery before this transfer to see if the RE could fix it but he didn't give her much hope and still recommended a surrogate. He did the dual transfer because the embryos would not have survived in the petri dish to be frozen so it was at least a chance if they were placed in her she might get pregnant vs no chance if left in the petri dish. I really hope she doesn't m/c again but the chances are that she will. She felt she had to try every option and I completely understand that.

Sarah, yes wouldn't that be crazy! We talked about this before we matched and she will rent a house in Texas the last month of our pregnancy so she would be here for delivery and use my ob. After all that she has been through it would be awesome if she ended up with two babies!!!
