Lauren ~ Yay to the last week of school! Our last week is next week and it is a joke. We have finals Monday and Tuesday and the last day of school is on Friday. For a school that is hard up for funds based on attendance I don't think that this was a smart idea, no one is going to show up Wednesday - Friday. My idea to have finals spread out over 3 days (Tue - Thurs) were shot down. Can't wait for it to be over...

Rebecca ~ I don't think I would want MIL in the room for any insemination process either. When it comes to the delivery, I would like both our moms to be there. I know my mom would be there, not sure if MIL would come though.

Lisa- Funny thing when I was working (quit my job early March), we used to take family trips every 3mos or so....Gatlinburg, FL, Chicago, SC.....of course gas prices were cheaper then and we had double the income. DH and I are going to be in Cali for 2w at the end of this month and we are very much concered about the gas prices and trying to figure out how much around it will cost us. *sigh* Vacations are just few and far between now. I agree with Irene that a day off here and there really does help to get some time to get things done and just relax. I used to take a Friday off every now and again.... I loved 3 day weekends!

I originally wasn't going to, but I asked my mil to stay during delivery, but my situation was so different from a normal delivery. Both sets of parents where there while I was laboring, but I kicked the dads out of the room when I actually delivered. During delivery I had dh holding one hand, mil holding the other, and my mom was rubbing my forehead the entire time. I'm so glad they were all there for me. If I ever get the chance to have a living birth, I think it will just be dh and me. But who knows, I might change my mind.

Has anyone over here ever had an Anti Mullerian Hormone test? They are suggesting that to me to get more clues to my ovarian reserve. It's a newer test and kind of pricey they said, but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to see if clomid/iui's aren't going to help (which is what the RE thinks). I can't find much info on it in "laymen's" terms on the internet.

Well, we made an offer on a house this morning, and they accepted it! BUT, it is a contengency offer, pending the sale of our house. So now we have to be really proactive in getting it sold. Whew... So much going on.

JJ~ I dont know anything about that. All of my testing came back great about ovarian reserve, but yet mine sucks. They could only determine it from my response, or lack of, from the 3 ivf cycles.

Bec~ I guess that is *kind of* sweet... but very strange. Hmmm...

Mel~ YAY for the end of school! It is just so exciting to know we will be done soon!

Lauren - Very nice!! Looks like you have a decent size yard, too. Bonus! Oh she's..... okay. Things are touch and go, off and on. I don't talk to her much which is good because it just makes me mad. Most recent three phone calls have been in excess of an hour and not one question about how I am doing or what is going on with me. Irritates me. After the first iui, she asked 'what about insemination?' Uh, yea, if you paid attention to what I tell you, you'd know that is what we did. She doesn't know that we did clomid/iui last cycle and has no idea that I'm doing it again now. She's coming home for Father's Day..... not really looking forward to it. I may snap. You've met her and can probably imagine how dramatic it can be. That will be the weekend just after my IUI, too.

Lauren~The house is very nice! Is it out in the country?

I'm 13DPO today and just went to the bathroom and what do ya know...i'm starting to spot. This is only the 2nd cycle I have went this long w/o spotting. I just don't get it! I went down to our basement and started bawling. Dh was upstairs and heard me. He came down and layed with me and held me. Told me its going to be alright. I just don't feel like its ever going to happen. I want to call my dr and ask for surgery this month and take next month off TTC since i'm going to Mexico. I think she thinks everything is fine in my uterus cause my HSG didn't show any abnormalties. But we all know, that isn't always true! I just have this gut feeling I need to do the lap get it over with and I will be able to get pregnant on my own. If not, then i'll see an RE. I'm so sad. I'm going to go workout now...that should help take my mind off of it. Maybe!

Stacey~I hear you about vacations. We were going to go to Maine for a week this summer, but decided not to, mostly because of the cost of ivf So we're going to do some camping around here instead.

I'm going to call tomorrow to get the lab slip for the test. I probably won't do it until school is done (next week for us). I'm getting tired of taking off of work!

Hey girls!

I finally got to get on the computer this morning! I worked the pool all weekend! I thought I had Poison Ivy on my legs & arms so first thing Monday, hit the doctor. I had an allergic reaction to 'something'. I didn't shave my legs for a week! Ewww. CAVELADY. Then I spend the rest of the day getting my garden in.....finally! Yesterday I was at the hospital with DH's grandma from 8am to 7pm. His grandpa's sugar was 24! They have it under control now.
