Lauren - how exciting! Are you going to work next school year? If so, you will have big news to share when you go back. And it will be great timing for the due date - you get to miss the end of the year like I did.

Dana~ THANK YOU!!!

Snowie~ THANK YOU!!!

Kelly~ Yes, I will be back at work in August! It would be great timing if this first ivf works... I would be due at the end of April.

The pharmacy just called and I had to pay for my meds... $2121.73! ACK! They are supposed to be delivered July 6. This does not include the $80 ovidrel shot which cannot be ordered until closer to time...

Oooh, I just had an interesting thought for another thread in this section...how about one recounting everyone's experience with costs of IUIs and IVF, meds, etc? I know when I first heard the costs of the IUIs from y'all I was surprised; I expected it to be higher. We don't want to get into anyone's personal fiances, but the basic info could be helpful.

Steph~ I think that is a good idea. Ya'll know I am very open... maybe too open... I'll share anything! I do think it would be helpful for people to have an idea of expenses. I know things are different costs in different places, but it would give people a general idea.

I try not to think what I've spent on the IUI's - I start making a mental lists of all the things I could have done with that money.

Lauren- you have so much going on. That schedule wow! You'll get your BFP for my birthday - the timing of the pregnancy and school - it couldn't be more perfect. That's alot of moola for the meds - is that included in the price the Dr. gave you or in addition too? How are your parents/divorce thing going? And yeah I'm at peace. Just over it. There is a very freeing feeling in giving up. It is what it is.

Rebecca - I was suprised you forgot too!!! But don't worry, I'm a permananet resident, I got your back!

Dana - I'm glad you are keeping busy. Sounds like you have alot on your plate too.

Jo - I would pay you. I did scrapbooking for the first 3 years of JOnathan's live and NOW I have 5 HUGE bins of pictures. I just went through it recently to pull out some pics I wanted to show to Lou...after I had a breakdown I had to put it all away, it was so overwhelming and so many memories I had forgotten.

I feel like my life is going in fast forward mode since the beginning of the summer. When you aren't living your life in 2 week intervals it's amazing how much living you actually do!

I have completed the 2nd round of interview with the 1st job. On Thursday I have a 2nd round of interviews with the 2nd job and on MOnday I have a 1st interview with a place close to my house. So something is bound to happen very shortly. I'm excited.

Last month and this month the plan was to abstain during the fertile patch. Well DH got ahead of himself last night and things went a little quicker than he expected It was horrible. I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom to pee as soon as I could. is that crazy or what??? My head is just so warped right now. I cried for like 15 minutes. That poor man he felt so bad, he had just gotten to understand the whole equation of if you remove the possibility of hope I won't have a 1/2 hour breakdown in the bathroom when AF arrives. We don't have therapy this week because of the holiday. I'm fine now but totally freaked. We'll see how the rest of the month goes.

I'm coordinating the printing and design of the program for the musical - God these theatre people are exhausting!!

I'm also having some issues with JOnathan's Dad and his drinking, apparently Saturday night my ex was out with Jonathan, a friend of his and his son until 4:30 in the morning at a bowling alley. I can't believe he has fallen off the wagon for this long...I can't help but really be upset with his wife.

What else......I think that's it....I think we are just relaxing tomorrow - hopefully.

hugs & kisses to everyone

Okay, so I have to post this over here for Betsy (since I know how much she hates doctors/insurance). My sister who has been dealing with infertility for 18 months and is now pregnant with twins from IVF has hyperemesis and has missed 6 weeks of work. She applied for short term disability which would cover her at 50% pay while she was out during her pregnancy and up to 6/8 weeks post delivery depending on if she had a vaginal/c-section. Today she gets a letter from the short term disability people denying her claim because....THE TREATMENT/MEDICATION SHE TOOK FOR HER PRE-EXISTING CONDITION OF INFERTILITY CAUSED HER PREGNANCY AND THEREFORE IS DENIED Are you freaking kidding me? I can't believe they are doing that to her. She is going to appeal it but I doubt they change their mind. Luckily she has her husband's medical insurance or they wouldn't cover her medical portion either.

Kristy - OMG are you kidding me???? And thank you for thinking of me...cause yeah I still hate insurances. So did she do the aflac one or is it different? I had to read what you wrote several times cause it sounds so asinine(?). How is she doing by the way????

I just recently cancelled all my "extra" insurances I had.

She is doing good, except for the hyperemesis. She is on 3 different medications and has been hospitalized twice already for dehydration. I can't believe her insurance is doing that either, I was so blown away. She has been paying for STD since they started trying to get pregnant so that she would have some income after she delivers even at 50%. I don't see how they can do that. That is like saying "I am sorry you have been having sex for the past year and that is what got you pregnant so that is a pre-existing condition" to the people who are fertile. She can't help that she had to do infertility treatment. But all they see is the medication for infertility caused her pregnancy and she was seeking treatment before she got her new job. Stupid insurance company.

Betsy - Thanks! Good luck with the interviews. You're right about living life outside of the 2 week intervals. It's certainly different.

Lauren - I can't believe it's about to start. Really, where has the time gone. We're into July already and seems like the past 6 months has been only a blur. That's quite the list of meds.

Jo - Congrats on a scrapbook job! That's a hefty price, wow. Good for you (and your pocket!).

Steph - It's good to hear from you. I miss our chats.

Question.... do you girls think I can wash a down comforter in cold and hang it to dry?? I can't get it dry cleaned on a holiday. Nimosh P'd ALL over it this morning (we've been having sleeping issues lately and I brought him to bed with us).

Happy 4th of July girls!!!

Betsy~ I am SO GLAD you are feeling at peace. That makes me happy to hear. When is your birthday?? Mine is April 15, and I would be due just after that if this ivf works!

Kristy~ That disgusts me. I have NO insurance coverage for IF and it sucks. I am sorry she has struggled.

Brandy~ Thank you!

Rebecca~ Time has flown, hasnt it? I should be almost up to my 1 year anniversary on ctips sometime soon. When I came here I was so naive and just thinking I could have sex and get pregnant...
OH, and about the down comforter... Yes, I wash mine in cold on delicate and hang it over chairs to dry. You just have to shake the down around every few hours so it doesnt get stuck together.

Lauren-That is one hell of a schedule. I'm sure it is overwhelming. We'll definitely be here for you and help you through it. Betsy is right that will be great timing for a BFP and your school schedule! I can't wait.

Steph-I think that is a great idea for a thread. I will also be ahppy to post information there if we go that route or even adoption information.

Snowie-I will keep you posted to help you with what to expect!

As for me still no +OPK. I'm getting anxious because DH is leaving Mon for the week. I know I really should O by then but just want to do this test and move on. Plus we have a wedding on Saturday so I really don't feel like having to do the test on Sunday. I hope this body of mine for once cooperates!

Kristy-I can't believe that about your sister. I hope she does appeal becasue that is crap for them to deny her. What difference does it amke how you get pg? The point is that anyone who's pg can have what she's going through. I know a girl at work that with both pregnancies has been out of work and in and out of the hospital for dehydration and not ebing able to keep down any food. She got pg the old fashion way and she's on the STD.

Happy 4th of July to everyone. Hope everyone enjoys it. We are just laying low at home. Which is fine with me.
