Well, S-O-A-B. When DH had the car accident a few weeks ago, the car was totalled (just found this out yesterday). My rental coverage tops out on Tuesday. I got my first call from the insurance company yesterday. My credit sucks. The insurance company is going to pay off on my car note, of course, but I'm a little upside-down, so I'll still owe $2300, which does not get me another car, or money to get one. I have crappy credit.
I asked my dad last night to co-sign a signature (unsecured) loan through the credit union, of which we are all members, for $10,000, with which I would pay off the old note in cash, but a new/used car for cash, set aside four months of payments on the new signature loan (including the 60 day deferment the offer, thats six months of me not even having to think about it), and pay off a few other little things with whatever is left over. We put in the apps over the phone an hour or so ago, and they just called me. Denied. Too much outstanding debt, bad payment history (even though it's been years), insufficient income (HUH?!?! On 48 month loan that would basically come out to the same amount as a $250 car payment? And I wouldn't have a car payment...they ask what you are going to do with the money and I told them). Then I was like...well, isn't that what the co-signer is for? (my dad has more credit than God, and has been with that credit union for over 20 years). Apparently, the co-signer is for decoration. Even though they are legally liable for the note. WTF?!?! Jeezus, I'm going to end up totally screwed...no car, no rental...dammit, this was such a good solution too. Pisses me off. But on the upside, it looks like a good job finally came through for Daniel. Yay. It's this close to being a done deal. And with Walmart too! Benefits. Yay. (being able to go to the doctor, hello? Yay.). Two incomes. Yay. God willing...omg I need this to come through...Please, let this come through and stick. I suck. Stuff sucks. I don't know what else to do. I can get a car probably, somewhere, but I'll end up in the same kind of bend-you-over loan I had this time, the kind you never pay off. And still have that $2300 on the old note. This sucks. My dad is 'thinking about what to do'. I'm sure he'll save my a$$. He always does. But dammit, I wanted just a little final piece of help from him and then fix it all myself! Dammit. |

TGIF girls!!
Betsy - You are going to be an amazing Resolve leader! The women are going to love you! Emily - I think you need a comedy too! I would go with Heidi's suggestion of Superbad, haven't seen it but keep hearing it's hilarious. The next 4 weeks will fly by & you will be with Juan is no time! Heidi - I'm so glad that the insurance company is picking up the bill on the surgery! It's stressful enough going through these things, having to worry/argue with the insurance company just makes it worse. Any big plans this weekend? Steph - I hope the car situation gets resolved & I'm hoping Daniel lands that job! Melissa - I want the see that No Country for Old Men, I'm even more interested in seeing who the hot actor is! Did you laminate your list Hi everyone else! |

I rented Superbad last night, but I haven't watched it yet! I'm interested in seeing this hot No Country guy too! Oh I just looked him up and he's also in Love in the Time of Cholera, which is a book I really liked but heard bad things about the movie...hm. He's kind of scary looking!!
Another movie I really want to see is Bella, because it has the hottest guy in the universe (after Johnny Depp) in it. Check this dude out! Muy Caliente! I would love practice making about 20 little babies with this man... ![]() Steph - sorry about the car situation. I hope you can get things worked out.

Steph - I don't think so? His name is Eduardo Verįstegui, he's a mexican from some small little fishing village or something. I think he's been in a lot of telenovelas.
I like him in these pictures too! Eduardo Verástegui Photos Eduardo Verástegui Photos Irene - I have to confess, I'm still a Johnny Depp fan. I don't know that I want to practice making babies with him anymore, but I still have a huge crush on him.

Oh yeah, this could be fun! Everyone list their top 5
![]() Okay, I know my top 4 at least. The two previously mentioned, then Casey Affleck, and Jared Leto. I obviously have a thing for guys with dark hair and light eyes.

Oh, okay. I did not know.
Lord, I don't even think like that anymore. I'd have to work hard to come up with a top 5 list. It used to be easy, but all mine aged -- or I aged. And then I switched to rock stars. LOL! It used to be Harrison Ford, Val Kilmer, Carey Elwes (from the Princess Bride), uh...lemme think...Christian Slater...I don't know if there were 5, I was pretty loyal. I has phases with others, cause I've ALWAYS been a sucker for a man in black who can kick everybody's a$$ in what he does. But then the rock stars...Joe Perry (the guitarist from Aerosmith, in case someone doesn't know). One knock on my door and I'd be gone in a heartbeat. Even if he is 53(?) or so now. And of course, my life-long love, Bret Michaels. But Joe is my great life-lust. Yummy. I used to have a sign that I loved...'and on the 8th day, god created Joe Perry'. I'll bet I can find one again. hey girls,
i haven posted. but ive been lurking. keeping up on everything. alots been going on. took me 30 min just to read jan. anyway. so how are you gals. i just got insurance again. so im going to get all of the infertility testing done. even though were not trying. in fact were avoiding it right now. i still want to know whats going on. if theres no natural chance, theres no point in me going back on the pill. which makes me crazy anyway. ill prob get fitted for a diaghpram(did i spell that right). i passed the entrance exam for the LPN program. i had my interview last week. my hubby graduated from there in 2006 so she knew who my husband is. hope that helps mne getting in. it went good. she just wants me to take the test again. higher scores will give me a better chance at getting in. so im keeping my fingers crossed. its also been nice not hinking about my infertility. its beed a great distraction. we will start trying again after i graduate. if we need treatment, which we probably will, then well do that. so this is my life right now. working and studying for the retake. ill keep you gals posted. im always around lurking and good luck and lots and lots of baby dust to everyone. |

Steph - Sorry a/b the car situation
Em - Maybe you should drink when you watch SuperBad. We watched it this week - it was funny but I kept waiting for it to be over. Isn't Steve Austin going to be on like 10 people's lists? My list would be Oscar deLaHoya as number 1. I think I would also put the dad of one of the kids in my class. I don't know who else.

Karyn and Irene ~ LOL! No it's not laminated b/ I'm constantly changing my mind. Cap'n wants me to laminate my list though 1. Robert Downey Jr. (that has not changed since that list episode of Friends came out!) 2. Jake Gyllenhaal (I know I'm like 6 years older than him, but I don't freakin' care!) 3. Jude Law (I'll forgive him for cheating on Sienna) 4. Clive Owen 5. Javier Bardem Past candidates have been Apollo Ono (he's not gay until I see him French kissing another man!), Anderson Cooper (ditto for Anderson), Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, Eric Szmanda (plays Greg on CSI), Jared Leto (good call, Em!) |
